Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, it's Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. Highfield cottage is a stone-built house on a hill at Hillhouse Farm Escapes in the Scottish Borders. This old shepherd's house is renovated to a modern & cosy standard. It has a superb kitchen with range cooker and large dining table, a huge lounge and two generous bedrooms (one is en-suite). Best of all is the stunning rural location with incredible views. It's an easy one-mile walk to a pub. Dog friendly. The house next door, a Little House on the Hill (Herniecleugh), is also available.

The Dairy is the former farm Dairy which we converted to a completely self-contained apartment adjoining the main farmhouse where we live with our children. The living/kitchen area is heated by a log burner. Upstairs there is a double bedroom and private bathroom . Enjoy the charm of a rural location, with bike trails, fishing and walking on the doorstep. Relax in the garden and enjoy a nice walk down to the river Tweed through our field of highland cows .
