Beautiful house built in 1912, refurbished back close to its original glory with up to date kitchen. It was the 2nd house built in Askov for the banker. Original pocket doors and trim put back in the house. I still have minor renovations to do such as cleaning the trim and pockets doors, and finishing the 3 season porch. If your looking for a stay closer to Duluth, please check out my Brookston Bungalow located in Brookston MN. Please note it's $25 per person per night after the first 2 guests
“My husband and I LOVED this house. The price was right, it’s not far from Duluth, the city is so cute, and the house... The photos do not do it justice. It is historic yet beautifully restored with a modern kitchen. It also has so many interesting spaces to explore. Brenda’s decorating taste is impeccable and the little touches she added like shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotions, bottled water, coffee, hair dryer will help you to pack light. The bed was so comfy. The shower was luxurious. My hair looked great and my skin glowed. We are already talking about when we can come back!! Plus, I want my mom to stay here. She’d love it, too. Thank you!”

“Joseph was thoughtful on behalf of his guests. We felt well cared for even though they had never met us. "Nana and Papa's" place was tidy, peaceful, and full of character. It is a nice distance from the cities for a weekend getaway, but quiet, and close enough to state parks and other great locations for day trips. We enjoyed spending part of a day at the beautiful Kettle River in Banning State Park very close by. Our hosts also provided plenty of suggestions for local fun in Finlayson. Overall, it was very lovely and cozy (but spacious too) for our winter getaway.”

“My daughter and I were immediately pleased with the tiny house, the hot tub and the location. It felt both luxurious and a little rustic at the same time! We really enjoyed the feeling of privacy in nature watching deer and birds from the warmth of the hot tub! We also enjoyed hiking around in swath of woods nestled between houses and farms. A pleasure all around - Thank you so much!”
