“The cottage is perfectly located for a weekend getaway from London. Less than 1 hr from Marylebone station and situated in the midst of TV history (Vicar of Dibley and Midsummer Murders both filmed nearby), this beautifully furnished cottage was a great base for the 7 of us to have a weekend away from London. The kitchen and living room have been recently furnished to a high standard and the rest of the cottage retains the fairytale charm. Would definitely visit again!”
The Old Stable has been recently converted into 2 self-contained luxury apartments with super-king beds. It is set in a beautiful countryside position overlooking the Hambleden valley, four miles from Marlow and less than half an hour from Heathrow, Henley, Oxford and Windsor. London is less than an hour away. There is direct access to the Chiltern footpaths and it's a short stroll to the Farm Shop next door. The village is a 10 minute walk and offers two good gastro-pubs, cafe and newsagent.
“We had a lovely stay at Jan's place! Very happy to recommend. The accommodation had everything we needed for a short break and was ideal for us in having the farm shop literally round the corner, a pub a short walk away and lovely walks straight from the property. Jan provided all the bits we needed for breakfast which was lovely. And they very kindly contacted us on Saturday evening to offer a later check out should we so desire which was very much appreciated. Have a lovely time!!”
Lovely single room over looking the woods. 5 minutes walk from town centre.
“It’s nice to have the small kitchen space downstairs to start the the day. Liz has assorted breakfast items available fresh bread for toast and a few cereals with milk. I was there long term and bought other meal stuff and managed quite well.”
