The Vinery is a bright, self-contained studio within beautiful surroundings. Rolling countryside views to Radwinter Church make this a peaceful and restful stay. River and village walks are highly recommended. We welcome dogs; we have two of our own. Close by is the medieval market town of Saffron Walden. Cambridge, Stansted Airport, London and the village pub are all within easy access. Sorry, no smokers.
“We were very impressed with our recent stay within The Vinery. Helen was very friendly & made us feel very welcome at her accommodation. We were offered lots of useful tips including restaurants in Saffron Walden as an alternative to the local pub. As we also enjoy looking around antique & second hand places- a trip to Reeds was also a great recommendation. Saffron Walden has many interesting streets & buildings to discover on foot plus an impressive church in the town centre.”

“Absolutely adored our stay at Trevors cabin this gone weekend. It’s spotlessly clean, so cosy, and feels luxurious despite its small stature. We were there during a storm and it was incredible listening to the wind and rain but not feeling in the slightest bit exposed. So lovely and warm inside and plenty of cushions and blankets to cuddle up with. We made pizza from scratch in the ovens - the hut has scales, jug, bowls so there’s everything you need for pizza apart from the ingredients. It was the perfect romantic get away in nature and ended up with us getting engaged! We’ve already planned to return for a mini honeymoon. Thanks Trevor!”
A 6/7 bedroom family friendly house in the heart of the picture postcard Essex village of Finchingfield, with a large garden incorporating a heated swimming pool (April to end of Sep), a trampoline and a children's climbing frame. On arrival you will find a welcoming family home that we hope you enjoy as much as we do. Downstairs consists of an entrance hall, open plan kitchen with a separate utility room, a sitting room with a log burning stove and a grand piano and playroom with sofa bed.
“My family has been staying in Haddon House for the past 5 weeks and we can’t say enough good things about the house or the hosts. They have both been exceptional. Dean and Kate have been the perfect hosts. Nothing has been too much trouble - they have been incredibly flexible, responsive and helpful and have added those extra touches to make the house feel like a home for us and to make our family feel welcome - for instance leaving their Netflix subscription open for us and asking whether we wanted the chickens and rabbits left in the garden or removed during our stay (we kept them and the kids have loved looking after them). The house itself is stunning. Beautifully laid out and furnished - the kitchen has everything you’d ever need and appliances all in good condition. Plenty of space for the kids to roam around in, and a brilliant array of toys and games to keep them occupied (including trampoline, outdoor games, swimming pool etc). Finchingfield is a lovely village with beautiful country walks on the doorstep, and a village shop within walking distance for the essentials. Would definitely recommend staying at Haddon House. You will have a great time!”
