PLEASE NOTICE: The island is located in the northern part of Iceland. It is a five-hour drive from Reykjavik. And you need to take a ferry to get there. No cars, pedestrians only. Hi. We have a vacation cottage for rent at a farm near Akureyri. Distance to Akureyri is 20min driving. The cottage is located on our farmland and we live in the farmhouse about 800m away up the hill. We do not farm livestock but there might be the occasional sheep grazing the fields. Guests are welcome to pick mushroom on the land and august is prime blueberry season and you can pick blueberries right outside the cottage.
