The house is located on a small farm in north Iceland. Guests have a lot of privacy in the house as it stands alone. You might see our horses and even sheep close to the house. Our dog and cat are friendly and might pay you a visit. You can go for short walks among horses, sheep and birds in a varied landscape. During the winter, there is a unique experience to sit in the hot tub and watch the northern lights. The house is a good place for home office due to high speed wi-fi and facilities.

Luxury cottage in the North of Iceland - Akureyri

Our cottage was built in 2019 and was ready for furnishing in October 2019. The whole house, interior and houseware is generally of high quality. The living room has a cosy sofa and a 65” tv screen. All beds are high quality with down comforters for every guest. There are two bathrooms, where one of the bathrooms also serves as a laundry room, and an indoor hottub with view over Akureyri. the outside storage room you have space for your outdoor equipment. This is an old farmhouse that was renovated in 2020. Very clean and spacious. Warm and cozy house with wood floors. The house and the area is very very quiet. People will sleep extremely well here. Water is from own well up the mountain and is very good. Hot water is heated with big electric water heater tank so this is clean non smelly, non sulphuric warm water for showers. Area is quiet and very private. We do not have farm animals only a couple of curious cats.

Our land has stunning views of the Cheek Mountains , abundant bird-life, spectacular nature and wildlife, country comfort and urban activities and service in town. Walking paths are along the lakes and to surrounding places. Minimum rental is 2 nights.

Our Cabins come with made up beds, private WC, warm and nice outdoor shower and a hot tub. They are well furnished with blackout curtains, luxury in bed and linens. Small, but fully equipped kitchen and a small porch. Enjoy the afternoon sitting on the terrace gazing at the spectacular mountains and the midnight sun during summertime. For winter visitors this is the ideal location for winter sports, family vacations and to watch the northern lights.
