This luxury, spacious garden studio is hidden away in a private, leafy and secluded walled garden, screened off by beautiful trees and shrubs. It is in a friendly, quiet suburb of the city, just 2/3 mins walk from the nearest train station, bus stop, shop, cafe and takeaway, and about 1.5 miles from the city centre. An ideal base for a city break, or from which to explore the beautiful Devon coastline (25 mins drive to Exmouth and the famous Jurassic Coast) or the spectacular wilds of Dartmoor.
“David's place was a very stylish and romantic space. The bed was very comfortable and floor heating was a super nice touch! David left detailed instructions on how to operate the woodburner and lighting it gave the room a cozy feel. We couldn't connect to the wifi, though, but we had our own data so it wasn't such a big deal for us. We would definitely come back any time! :)”
A charming, cosy, comfortable and well appointed private guest cottage. Whether you are coming to Exeter for business, pleasure or any other reason, 'Gingerbread Cottage' is a delightful haven, and comes with exclusive off-street parking. Located within a 5/20 minute walking radius of Exeter's historic cathedral city, the frequently bustling quayside, Devon County Hall, the R.D & E Hospital, and Waitrose supermarket - major bus routes run just a-hop-skip-and-a-jump away on Topsham Road.
“I very much enjoyed my one-night stay at Deborah’s place, which used to be a post office! The downstairs living room space was perfect for relaxing in the evening (as well as for having a leisurely breakfast), given that there was nowhere to go out in the current situation. Pleased to say the place is accurately described and shown in the pictures (note the low sloping ceiling in the bedroom). The wi-fi was excellent. Also, only took me about 15-20 minutes to walk into the city centre to buy done food. All in all, worked very well for me.”
My home is within walking distance to St David's Station, close to Uni and city centre. In the nearby there are free parking spaces, Tesco Express shop, Fish and chips, Take-aways, a pub and a car wash. The bus stop is a minute distance, down on the main road, with the link to the city centre. I have a very friendly, but very excitable boxer dog. If you are anxious of it don't worry, she will be secured in my living room by a dog gate with no access to my guests spaces.
“This was a really great find. It’s cosy and you have privacy, use of a microwave and tea-making facilities, and a nice well stocked bathroom. Alina is friendly and helpful but allows you your space. The location is convenient both for the centre and for Exeter Uni campus, and the walk to either is pleasant. Also, great value for money. Highly recommend.”
