Tiny house vacation rentals in Esmeraldas

We stayed at Hostería la Roulotte during the very busy holiday weekend of All Souls Day. What we didn’t know before booking was that seemingly all of Quito was also going to be in Mindo that weekend, so it was very busy in town and all over the valley. Despite all the traffic, it was comfortable and quiet at Roulotte. The cabañas (cabins) are super cute and cozy and they do have warm water for the showers, which is especially nice. There is a lovely central building where the restaurant and bar are located. It has several tables for eating or gathering and a nice lounge area as well. It’s also the best spot on the property for decent WiFi, as the signal, like the noise from the road, doesn’t carry very far in the middle of the cloud forest. On the property you can enjoy great food, lounge in the hammocks, or try not to get lost in the bamboo labyrinth. La Roulotte is within easy walking distance of the butterfly farm and a chair lift that you can take up to the top of the hill for a great view and some hiking. Ignacio and his family are wonderful hosts who put every effort into making sure their guests are very comfortable and happy. We highly recommend this guesthouse for a peaceful getaway.

A modern, comfortable and private cabin. It's out of town in a beautiful and safe place with great views! Patricio is very correct and communication is easy and fast. I'd recommend it to anyone passing through Pedernales.

This is a lovely, custom-built little house in a scenic location. If you have a four-wheel drive vehicle it would be perfect. We came by taxi and didn't ask enough questions beforehand. It is four km from Nono and the last km is steep and requires a four-wheel drive. Our hosts shuttled us from the junction when we arrived and when we left, so we were fine. They live about a ten-minute walk from the house via a path that goes through fields. If you had a normal vehicle, I think you would park at their place, as their access road is drive-able with a normal car. The "living room with fireplace" is actually outside but enclosed on three sides. They provided wood and we were comfortable. They arranged a wonderful driver to take us to Yanacocha Biological Reserve. He grew up in Nono and had lots of local information. It was a great day trip. The house and hosts were awesome; just be prepared for remoteness. Don't plan on walking to a nearby restaurant or calling a taxi.

Everything was perfect. The location is ideal and the place super magical, relaxing and cute. The only bad thing is that we could not use the bathtub because the water was too dirty, maybe it's because the water came directly from the river. Otherwise, everything is beautiful.

A truly magical place. A wonderful, private and peaceful riverfront setting in the cloud forest. We stayed 3 nights and wished we had doubled our time here. Cheryl and Jon were amazing, engaging hosts who made our trip and stay easy, hassle-free and enjoyable. We especially loved the outdoor shower and bathtub as well as the super comfortable bed. The vegetarian meal service was another highlight, with delicious and fresh meals served daily. This place deserves all its glowing 5-star reviews and is one of the best Airbnb stays we have ever had anywhere in the world. We hope to return!
