We stayed for a week and would definitely recommend to come and stay here It was spotlessly clean and very well equipped .The beds were so comfy and had pure white bedlinen .The kitchen had everything that you could need and we enjoyed looking out at the view from upstairs at different times of the day.Alnmouth has some lovely restaurants and a couple of lovely cosy pubs and is well worth a visit. If you need a place to chill out this it ,we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return one day .

A sandy beach is shown stretching along the coastline, with gentle waves lapping at the shore. Dune grass is visible on one side, while several individuals can be seen walking in the distance under a clear blue sky. The beach appears calm and inviting.

Country cottage with beautiful open views

AnnRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We spent a week at this beautiful cottage for my birthday. We chose Picklewood for the layout, traveling with my dad who is 91 we needed somewhere with level access. The cottage itself is stunning and is a bit of a tardis, it’s bright and spacious and the photos really don’t do it justice, it has a lovely homely feel too. The kitchen is equipped with everything we needed, the welcome pack was lovely too. The view of the surrounding countryside is beautiful and the sheep and lambs in the neighbouring field kept us entertained. We hadn’t planned on bringing my sisters dog, but a last minute issue meant we needed to bring her. Aimee was very helpful when I asked if we could add Jess to the booking. The location is so peaceful, but only a 10 minute walk into the village. With a local shop that has everything you could need, a butchers and a renowned bakery. We had tea at the village pub and were not disappointed. If you are looking for a relaxing break you won’t go wrong with this cottage

The Cottage, self catering on a smallholding.

The Cottage at Willowdene provided a light, spacious and comfortable base for our Northumbrian holiday. Set in peaceful surroundings, The Cottage was well equipped and thoughtfully presented. We particularly enjoyed being able to watch the birds on the feeders just outside the window and very much appreciated finding milk, eggs and a homemade cake on arrival.

Beautiful property in a stunning seafront location. The cottage had all the amenities we needed with a wonderful view of the sea. Nigel and Jane were very welcoming and recommended a bistro in Amble, Jaspers which was one of the best meals we have had in a long time.
