Highly recommended. We spent two nights, a group of 8 friends. The house is beautiful, spacious, cozy, tastefully decorated, and has all the details. We were very comfortable, looking forward to repeating.

We stayed 2 nights in this beautiful cottage. The very well-equipped kitchen, jacuzzi and swimming pool very well cared for, and the neighbor's dog is very friendly. There are amazing landscapes around the area (we went to a beautiful waterfall). But above all, I would highlight the kindness and good communication with Veronica, she was very flexible and she was attentive to us when we needed it for punctual issues. ☺️ We would definitely repeat in this dream house ❤️ Thank you!!!

Antonio is a fantastic host. Super responsive and very helpful especially with recommendations for local walks and for helping with animal health certificate requirements for returning to the UK. The house was big enough for the 11 of us and there was plenty for all of us to do for the whole week we were there. Any issues we had were resolved incredibly quickly by Antonio. Just a short walk from the house is a lovely little cafe that sells baguettes, coffee and some alcohol - very reasonably priced but please note only takes cash which caught us out on our first visit. We visited Balmaseda a couple of times which has an incredible bakery which I would very much recommend. The train station is less than 5 minutes walk but we didn’t get the train whilst we were there - it may have been quicker to get to bilbao and something to check out if you visit again. We are very happy to have spent these days there. It was very relaxing, beautiful place. The welcome was really warm. The house is as described and very convenient. We are really happy. Small bonus for sharing with these two dogs and these 4 ducks. 😍

The house is completely renovated but respecting the aesthetics that it surely had years ago. Well equipped and comfortable. The views are spectacular and there are few neighbors to disturb or be disturbed by. You can walk down to the village if you like to walk, but if you're going shopping, it's better to have a car. A place to be quiet in the heart of nature. A success and I'm sure we'll be back more often

José Luis' house is very nice, we were welcomed by both of them and they were very nice, very helpful at all times and the truth is that it is a beautiful place to go

It was a great stay, the house has everything you need and is super cozy. A very quiet area to enjoy nature, in a spectacular setting and centrally located to visit any point in Cantabria. Israel was very kind and told us places to go and eat. A big plus was the towel and blanket for our little dog. Thank you for everything, a luxury vacation!

The house is very spacious, modern and with all amenities. There is space left over for 9 people. The area is very quiet with beautiful views. It is in a valley that has a very nice car route. Next door is a farm and they let the kids see how they milked the cows. Emelina was very friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend it and will repeat if I go back to this area.

The house was spotless, with everything you need to feel comfortable. The setting is beautiful, there is a lot of peace and quiet, and it has spectacular views. Laura, the host, was attentive to whether we needed anything, and left us some sobaos and quesada as a welcome. We went with family and friends to spend the weekend and we wanted to spend more days there. In short, we felt right at home.

A lovely home in the country but just a 10 min walk to the main street. It was so peaceful with the country noises in the background. Parking was in the yard and there were plenty of outdoor seating choices. Esmerelda and her Mum were very attentive at all times making sure we were happy. We visited Santander an easy day trip and stayed overnight to visit Bilbao. Absolutely loved our 10 night stay and highly recommend.

The house was very clean. Everything is very tidy and very easy to find. Comfy beds, clean bathrooms. Andreea is very nice and very attentive. He gave us recommendations for things to do. And she was always very attentive. Very good stay.

We went to disconnect from the city and rest as a family. We met Emilio and his wife there, who are always there to help you in any way they can. The house, which is really super spacious and cozy, has 3 bedrooms: two double and one with two single beds. A bathroom and an American-style living room with kitchen. The arrival to the house is on a gravel road, but it is not difficult to drive on it. There are cows, you're in the countryside! But there's no smell, no discomfort, on the contrary, it helps you disconnect. You share a location with two other rented houses adjacent to this one, which are also Emilio's. The truth is that it was an inconvenience for us because we did not want to be sharing space; but the truth is that they were not noticed at all. Our dog was loose at all times. It is true that it is not fenced, but there is no danger around. Thank you so much so much for everything!🤗

This charming studio cabin is situated in the foothills of Cambria . Beaches are really close by 10 - 25 minutes , great to explore the coastline especially east of Santander . Nice restaurants by the coast but we found the best restaurant serving high quality Spanish food just down the road in Suesa called « bonabo » so friendly , but the homemade food was just so good. The cabin is basic but well situated. Shower and toilet very small. The garden surrounding is excellent for dogs, there are animals in the fields surrounding the cabin, our dog wasn’t worried about them and didn’t worry them. A lovely little place to go.

The stay at Carmen's place was great! Communication with her from the first moment has been very good and has clarified all the doubts that could have arisen for us! The house is great and has enough space for all the guests it marks in the description. We have gone with two babies under 2 years old and they have also really enjoyed the stay! The shame is that it has made us bad weather and we could not enjoy the garden but we did not have the bbq of which the accommodation has. All the stays are equipped with what you need and the heating in autumn winter works great! The environment of the place is beautiful so in good weather it has to be a joy to enjoy it! Hi Susanna Janeen and I loved staying in your cosy stone cottage by a river with a beautiful timbered setting. Easy to to, convenient location as we had a car. Well equipped, Comfortable and with great innovative furnishing ideas. Very interesting village close by with everything one could want. thanks a lot, Jon & Janeen.

We have just enjoyed a lovely two night stay in David's charming home. It is accessed via an electric gate so feels very secure. The house sits in a lovely garden with fruit trees and good outdoor furniture for dining and relaxing. The views out are lovely. There is house close by next door, but you wouldn't know it, and it feels very private. The large living room is double height and so feels very light, bright and airy. The large sofa is very comfortable for watching TV in the evening, although the TV could be much bigger. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking and has a good sized fridge/freezer. The double bedroom has a nice view out over nature and the shower room functions well. Comillas is veey close and it was easy to park in the centre and easy to access the coast, but lovely to return to this rural home in the evening. Communication with David was good. We would happily stay here again if we return to this area. Thank you David

Mari Carmen's house is in an enviable setting. Surrounded by nature and maximum tranquility, it allows you to completely disconnect from daily stress and enjoy its countless walking routes, as well as fantastic restaurants with local dishes at really interesting prices Marí Carmen was always very friendly and was waiting for us personally upon our arrival. She even gave us some cartons of milk that we had forgotten to bring. Being a small town, it does not have any shops where you can buy basic necessities such as milk, eggs, etc... and you need to drive 20 minutes to do so. However, there are several souvenir shops and typical products such as sobaos, chorizo, salchichón, ... You can easily park next to the house, as Mari Carmen provides you with a card that allows you to leave your vehicle in the historic center. If we return to Bárcena Mayor, we will definitely stay at Mari Carmen's house. Thank you very much and a hug
