Bookbinder's Retreat is small self-contained studio, situated adjacent to the main house. Whilst in the town, the property has a rural outlook over the Public Gardens, and a secluded feel. I have enjoyed creating the space on a small budget over a long time. Travellers seem to appreciate the craftsman like quirkiness of the space which reflects the town.

This is an entire apartment with views to the Ocean. It is cosy and quiet and only 5 minutes from Oamaru but set in a beautiful rural environment. A new kitchen, a cosy loungeroom and private courtyard with barbeque and separate entrance. Tea, coffee, milk and basic supplies in the pantry, homemade bread and a sample of our own honey . Breakfast cereals provided . You will love it. A pleasant garden and views top it all off....while being handy to town.

We really enjoyed our stay at Rakanui Cottage. It was warm and cosy. The quiet and peaceful atmosphere was just what was needed for a relaxing few days. Will definitely be back on our next visit!

We had a wonderful Matariki weekend at Ricky and Mels. The house is right across the road from the sea so it felt super relaxing just sitting in the rocking chairs by the big windows watching the sea and bird life. We stayed cosy with the log burner which they lit for us before we arrived. We were offered early check in and late check out and communication was super prompt and friendly. The beds were super comfortable with soft flanette sheets and fluffy bathroom towels. The kitchen had everything we needed. Would highly recommend - awesome value for money!

This is the most cozy room I have stayed in during this trip. The landlord is very considerate. The penguin-themed room is very much in line with the city of Oamaru, and the location is also very convenient. For tourists visiting Oamaru, this is a very ideal choice for you.

We booked for three people, and the host kindly suggested a room that perfectly suited our needs. The view was absolutely stunning — we could even see sheep while enjoying breakfast! The kitchen and living area were stylish and comfortable, and the bedroom was very clean. If I have the chance to come back, I’ll definitely stay here again. Great

One of the nicest places my husband and I have ever stayed in. Very comfortable in such a lovely setting. Our host was available if necessary and provided some essentials when we first arrived which was really appreciated. Very comfortable beds and had everything needed to enjoy our stay. We felt rested and relaxed at Sunset Cottage. We wouldn't hesitate to return to this beautiful place......Thanks Andrea and Bruce

Tanya’s place was much bigger than expected. Kitchen comes well equipped and place is very clean and comfortable. Huge driveway which allow many cars to be parked. The only downside is that if more than 1 shower is used concurrently, the hot water will be intermittent. Will recommend
