Family-friendly vacation rentals in Emilia-Romagna

Stefania was an incredibly gracious host! The playful decor mixed with the historical architecture was delightful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in her beautiful home. The location was walkable for all of the locations that we wanted to visit in Ravenna, and we would love to visit this beautiful city and Stefania’s beautiful home again!

We had an absolute perfect stay in Salverio and Lorenzo's flat. It was incredibly spacious - very unusual to have a 3 bedroom/3 bath flat to rent in such a highly sought after part of Firenze. The decor was a perfect blend of antiques and art mixed with contemporary furnishings. Having a washer/dryer was a fantastic addition. Our favorite part of the flat was the rooftop terrace at sunset. You feel like you are on top of all of Firenze looking across the buildings. The duomo view was breathtaking. It was magical and truly stunning. The location could not be more suitable for proximity to all of the sights and indulge in luxury shopping. Salverio and Lorenzo were so helpful and accommodating. We will most assuredly be back! Thank you to you both!

Anna's place is spectacular and prob the best Airbnb we've stayed at - the views from the apartment are insane, the rooftop deck is huge and from my vantage point some of the best in all of Cinque Terre, not just Manarola. We ended up liking Manarola the best of all the towns and Anna did a great job communicating with us the entire time. A couple of notes - the first is that there is a way down to the water that doesn't require you going all the way back down Belvedere but using steps that are closer to the apartment. The second is that for a while I couldn't find the AC in the living room, but its in the ceiling right between the bedroom and the bathroom, you might have to walk over to it and point the remote at it to get it to turn on properly!

Everything was great! Responsive, helpful pre-travel communication, warm welcome, beautiful and stylish flat, plentiful and free of charge provision of food and drinks, comfortable bed, and much more. Dear Carlotta and Federico: you do an amazing job! Thank you so, so much for everything!

Unser Aufenthalt bei Giacomo war sehr schön. Wir waren eine Gruppe von 6 Personen und hatten gut Platz im und um das Haus. Die Küche hatte alles relevante dabei, die Betten sind bequem und der Garten mega gross und schön. Giacomo und seine Eltern sind sehr nette Leute, wir haben sogar einen Kuchen erhalten, welcher sehr sehr lecker war. Giacomo hat uns auch Tipps für die Umgebung gegeben und ging auf unsere Bedürfnisse ein. Wir danken Giacomo und seinen Eltern für den schönen Aufenthalt!

Great house with amazing views. We used the pool a lot as it was very hot during our stay. Francesco and Serena were very nice and helpful. They booked a cooking class for us, which I highly recommend. The location is very convenient for visiting Florence, as it only takes about half an hour by train from Rufina.

Abbiamo passato 3 giorni fantastici nella villa di Daniele, immersa nella tranquillità della campagna toscana. Eravamo in 9 amici e la casa è stata perfetta per il nostro soggiorno: spaziosa, pulita e dotata di tutti i comfort. La piscina e la jacuzzi esterne sono state le protagoniste delle nostre giornate di relax, mentre la sauna interna ha aggiunto un tocco speciale alle serate. Gli spazi comuni sono ampi e ben organizzati e il portico esterno è ideale per fare una grigliata. Daniele è stato un host impeccabile: sempre disponibile e attento, ci ha fatto sentire subito benvenuti. Un soggiorno che consigliamo senza esitazioni, perfetto per chi cerca pace, comfort e un bel posto dove condividere momenti con gli amici.

Wir hatten einen traumhaften Aufenthalt! Die Unterkunft liegt wunderschön, hoch über Pistoia – etwa 30 Minuten entfernt – in den angenehm kühlen Bergen, was bei den sommerlichen Temperaturen ideal war. Auch wenn die bekannten Städte der Toskana etwas weiter entfernt liegen, war die Lage für uns perfekt. Daniele und Alessandra waren sehr gastfreundlich, jederzeit erreichbar und gaben uns viele wertvolle Tipps zur Umgebung. Pistoia haben wir in dieser Zeit sehr ins Herz geschlossen. Die Kombination aus der ruhigen, naturnahen Lage des Airbnbs und dem lebendigen, charmanten Stadtleben war für uns genau richtig. Die Umgebung ist ideal für Motorrad-, Roller- oder Fahrradtouren: kurvige Bergstraßen, herrliche Aussichten und viele kleine, alte Dörfer, die zum Entdecken einladen. Grazie !! Please do yourself the favor and book this space immediately. To call the home a palace would be an understatement. As a constant traveler, this is easily the most beautiful place I’ve ever stayed at. Perfect view of the Uffizi gallery and river Arno. A 2 minute walk to the Ponte Vecchio and many surrounding markets and Osteria’s. Frederico is an amazing host and now a good friend of ours. He accommodated us and was super patient when we were checking out. The home is extremely well curated with beautiful works of arts and sculptures. The living room area is a great big space with giant windows that can be opened and marble bath tub and shower. I will be dreaming of returning to see our friend Frederico in Florence very soon. He has a kind soul and was very warm with us. Side note: our favorite restaurant was the Osteria Toscanella. Only a 5 minute walk from the space. Please tell Tony from the Osteria that Richard and Geraldine from Texas say “Hola”!!! Everyone made us feel at home.

Absolutely stunning bijou property. Breathtaking views (almost feel you are in the sea) - you are so close to it. The terrace garden was perfect for watching the sun go down. There is an abundance of shrubbery around the edges with the beautiful scent of jasmine everywhere. The property was spotlessly clean equipped with everything we needed. Exceptionally welcoming and friendly host(s). Cristine and her husband were so proactive in assisting with getting to the property from the car park. Overall 11 out of 10.

It was special treat to be welcomed by Laura when we arrived. She was a great hostess. We felt very comfortable in the spacious surroundings which included an outdoor terrace with expansive views across the Garfagnana valley. As we didn't have a car we walked into Barga which is about 20 minutes. Barga offers shops, restaurants and art galleries. I found lots of opportunities to do some painting around the old town and walks to nearby villages. We loved Barga and are keen to return.

Per chi ama la natura e la storia di cui ogni singolo oggetto è intriso nella torre! Storia che Raffaele ci ha raccontato con passione, rapendoci con i racconti di come ha riportato in vita questo antico punto di avvistamento. Il territorio poi offre moltissimo, a partire dal buon cibo consigliato da Raffaele stesso! Insomma armatevi di una buona frontale per la sera e del costume per fare la sauna!

Beautiful house, a short walk from the Piazzale Michelangelo for a stunning viewpoint. Francesca is an amazing host, very friendly and dedicated to making our stay enjoyable. The house was clean and well stocked with essentials, and the air conditioning worked very well. She gave us lots of recommendations and information on the area too. The area itself is incredibly peaceful and you can enjoy a quiet evening in the beautiful garden. We would come back again!

Très bel appartement avec chambre en mezzanine. Grande terrasse avec une vue magnifique sur les vignobles. idéalement situé pour visiter Florence, Pise que ce soit en voiture ou en train au départ de Empoli. Les plus, la piscine très agréable après une journée de visites et le dîner organisé afin de déguster les mets locaux 😋 Bref, super séjour chez Sandra!

Een hele fijne accommodatie om de omgeving van La Spezia te verkennen. Prachtig uitzicht en lekker rustig en schoon. Vanaf het huisje kan je mooie hikes maken.

My family and I (5 adults and 1 teenager) had the most wonderful stay at Maria Teresa’s place. Her home is very beautiful and welcoming, there was more than enough space for the family to feel comfortable. This area of Emilia-Romagna is very unique and incredibly peaceful. We felt a strong connection to nature, to the agricultural traditions, and to the history of the region. There were so many surprises to learn about and discover in our short stay! Maria Teresa is truly a “super host”. With an abundance of grace and hospitality, she made our visit an unforgettable experience. Maria answered all of our questions (from restaurants to history) with enthusiasm and patience. Our family felt very cared for during our stay. We were sad to leave! For anyone planning a visit; our family rented cars from the airport in Bologna which was a piece of “torta”. Monte Fuso is great for hiking. Visit the caseificio. We were sorry to miss the pool. Our stay was a hidden gem.

We had an amazing week in the villa. Even if hou have other people living there, you feel so calm and free. There is a designated spot for each appartements to eat so you can enjoy good time outside. The site is so clean and we ser that the host take good care of everything. We had a lot of recommandations to discover te surroundings and the host was so easy to reach when we needed. All the commodities were there, the appartement is well equiped. I strongly suggest to rent a car, it’s the easiest way to enjoy your stay there. I surely recommand this place and I would go back again.

Staying at Lorenzo and Eva’s place was an absolute highlight of our trip to Tuscany! The location was exceptional, it offered breathtaking views of the Tuscan countryside that we’ll never forget. Just a short drive away is the charming town of Vinci, where you’ll find everything you need to make the most of your stay. The wine and olive oil tasting experience is an absolute must—it added such a special touch to our visit. The property itself is beautifully maintained, with excellent amenities that made our stay comfortable and relaxing. Lorenzo and Eva were both very professional, and their communication was always prompt and helpful. We can’t wait to return to Vinci and would love to stay at their place again!

Amazing place! Nestled in the beautiful surroundings of the Lucca hills. Very peaceful. Lots of birdsong. We saw a deer in the garden! The grounds are brilliant and the place is the perfect size for a couple. We loved eating on the terrace with the great view, and swimming in the private pool. Only a short drive to Lucca which has some amazing restaurants (our favourite was Osteria de Pasquale). There’s some great vineyards in the area - our favourite was Fattoria Sardi. If I was reading this review I wouldn’t think twice about booking!

Soggiorno ben oltre le nostre (già alte!) aspettative! Emanuela ci ha accolto nei migliori dei modi e ci siamo sentite subito a casa, la sua ospitalità da manuale ci ha davvero conquistate. È stata un’host impeccabile, sempre disponibile e gentilissima. L’alloggio è una splendida tenuta immersa nel verde della campagna toscana, perfetto per chi cerca un’oasi di tranquillità a contatto con la natura. Le foto davvero non rendono giustizia alla casa, molto spaziosa , e al bellissimo giardino.

Anna was a fantastic host, who treated us with the upmost respect and kindness. While her place is a bit difficult to find at first, once you're there, you're in one of the most beautiful scenes we've seen during our time in Italy. Also, it was close enough that we were still early able to travel into Florence each day we were there. Anna was so nice in providing us with breakfast each morning, which included apricot jam from her fruit trees and homemade bread. We would recommend this spot for anyone looking for a quiet place to stay outside of the busy city.
