A beautiful house for our family to enjoy together. Being on the water and having a private pier/dock was so wonderful! Garet was very friendly and responded quickly when we needed to reach out to him throughout the stay! The only thing I would make sure to be aware of is that there are stairs throughout the house. I saw stairs in the photos, but in case you have someone staying who has mobility issues, keep in mind that there are at least 2-3 stairs that you must go up/down to get to any bedroom and the living room area. Wasn’t a huge issue while we were there, but I can see how it could be. All in all, we had a wonderful experience & would definitely recommend!!

We loved everything about the home and location. The pool table and river brought a lot of laughs and memories made. The hosts were helpful and very responsive. We had an amazing time and thankful for the opportunity to stay in this beautiful home.

Our stay was as expected. The house was in a great location with lots to do near it and convenient to get to. It also accompanied my entire party and an unexpected last addition of my nephew! It was in great shape and plenty of community spaces as well as places to get off alone and rest and relax. The check-in was great and the house was very clear. Highly recommend.

Mel’s place was great with plenty of room for me and my coworkers. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms and kitchen were clean. Couldn’t have asked for much more. Would be a great place to stay for a getaway.

This is the second time staying at this beautiful home. We enjoyed the great location, the comfortable beds, and well appointed rooms. We had everything we needed to cook meals and enjoyed coffee on the screened patio. The house is tastefully decorated and has very calm and relaxing feel. Everything was spotless and comfortable. Thank you again for providing a great vacation home so close to downtown Beaufort!

We had a great stay a Nick’s place! Close walk to both the beach and the bay. A comfortable stay for my family with two young kids and my parents. Would definitely stay again!

If you want a private, peaceful, vacation with gorgeous views, this is your place. The host went above and beyond to make our vacation a wonderful trip. The extras that they have, from kayaks to crab pots, you could spend your whole vacation and never leave the property!

Steve and Hannah’s home was perfect for a family get away. The house was cozy and had beautiful sunrise and sunset views!

We loved our stay at the cottage. The cottage is so cute. I loved the breakfast nook and have already told Sharlene that I need her to come decorate my house! The house was exceptionally clean and accommodating. It was a nice home away from home. Sharlene was quick to respond and friendly. I would 100% recommend the cottage.

We had a great week at the beach staying at Sue’s house! The house was the perfect size for our family of four. It was just a short walk to a public beach access. We also enjoyed kayaking in the creeks behind the house, watching the beautiful sunsets on the back deck, and grilling and eating in the awesome area under the house. Sue was very responsive whenever we needed anything. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful and well kept home. Love the closeness only 3 min drive from main beach. Teenagers were able to walk to DQ. They blew up the tires on the bike but one needs a tube. There was everything you would need except a potatoe masher (now there is one). Grocery store and shops were so close.

This was our family of three's third stay at Soundmohr and we loved it as always! We love having our own space instead of a noisy condo, and you can't beat the view of the sound with the private pier. Trent has always been friendly and accommodating and is very responsive to any concerns. Wish we could have started longer!

Beautiful, clean home and bug-free, which was really important to me in such a humid area. We enjoyed the views from the deck right outside our bedrooms and spent lots of time drinking cocktails in the big screened-in porch. We also loved the little bar area with ice machine. Only thing to keep in mind is if you bring a boat, you can’t tie it to their dock, and the boat ramp is small and not easy to get in and out of. Everything else was great. Frederick is an awesome host, always responsive and accommodating with any questions we had. We would definitely recommend this place for a summer getaway.

We had such a wonderful stay at this cozy vintage beach cottage! Tucked away on a quiet, peaceful street, it was the perfect retreat for a relaxing getaway. The welcoming front porch was a favorite spot to sip morning coffee and enjoy the breeze. Inside, the cottage has a charming coastal vibe with vintage touches that add character and warmth. It’s clear that a lot of thought went into making it both stylish and comfortable. The space was clean, well-kept, and incredibly well-supplied with everything we needed—from kitchen essentials to beach gear. If you're looking for a place with personality, tranquility, and easy access to Oak Island’s beautiful beaches, this cottage is a fantastic choice. We’d definitely come back!

Kelly’s place is in a beautiful location. We enjoyed our stay & felt comfortable there. Really enjoyed the screen porch dining area looking at the lake. Would recommend. If you are going on the Ancient Cypress Tours it’s a great location to stay, only about 25 minutes away.

The accommodations were quaint and the property was peaceful and lovely. Our stay was comfortable and perfect for our needs. Hosts were nice and very responsive in their communication. Sparrows Nest is convenient to grocery stores, fuel stations, and a great Mexican restaurant and pizza place! I only wish we had more time to explore the mill pond and make use of the amenities including the kayaks; we stayed here where it was convenient to boating access to join a special group for a PWC trip on the Cape Fear River. It was overall a very nice weekend celebrating our 21st wedding anniversary! Memories made! We will recommend this place to others and will book again in the future.

The place itself was beautiful in a nice community with boats parked right outside. There is a community restaurant, and stores in the facility but outside everything is a bit far away. Would come back when it’s warmer to be able to go to the beach and other activities offered. There are other locations offered through their website.. look forward to coming back in the future.
