The life rhythm in the cottage is basic, close to nature in a wonderful hiking and cycling area, in a large, nature-rich place: vegetable garden, newly created food forest, flower gardens & pond are ecologically managed. There are a few pets (dog, cat, chickens, walking, bees). The refrigerator is underground and the composting toilet an experience in itself. The whole is made as environmentally friendly as possible and an invitation to live simply while respecting nature. There is a wood-burning stove.

A unique place in Drenthe nature

Last weekend we stayed with Sjoukje and her husband in Gasselte. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by Sjoukje, who immediately showed us her beautiful, large garden. In the yard you will also find a sauna, a hot tub and several cozy seating areas where you can relax. The house itself was sparkling clean, tastefully furnished and equipped with every comfort. Anything you need is present, which made the stay extra comfortable. The area is perfect for beautiful bike rides, nice trips and good food. We greatly enjoyed our stay and would like to thank Sjoukje and her husband for their warmth and hospitality. They are really made for this work! Definitely recommended – we'd love to come back.

We had a lovely weekend in Diego's mobile home. It is cozy and tastefully decorated, clear instruction folder and Diego is helpful and responds quickly. We gratefully used the bikes in the shed. From the campsite, you are immediately in beautiful woodland with beautiful sights. Thank you very much!

Marinette and Alex are very friendly people, helpful and approachable. A very nice accommodation, spacious enough for 8 adults and 2 children. Each room has its own sanitary facilities, which is very pleasant. Plenty of room to play indoors and outdoors. Good info for activities in the area. However, we found the kitchen in the large room to be on the small side. We all had a pleasant stay.
