The River’s Nest

EllenRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This is a special little place with many thoughtful touches from the owners. The king size bed is so soft and comfortable, with matching cozy robes that make you feel like you are in a 5 star hotel! The reclining couch is amazingingly comfortably too! All throughout there are just details and care. You can hear the river rushing by which is so soothing, and there is a nice little outdoor table to eat at it. It's a small space, perfect for a couple, but I was there with my son, who stayed on the sun porch and slept on the day bed and that worked great. The host was gracious to make sure I understood the kitchen was a kitchenette so it is really just functional for simple cooking (i.e. I could make bacon and eggs each morning on the little burners, and we also used the grill they provided. There is also an air fryer that can be used to bake etc) All in all I would definitely come back here - great location, well-kept lovely cottage, wonderful hosts.

The Little House at Lone Spruce

JanetRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This is the first stay I have had where the listing matched EXACTLY - which was nice! It was easy to find, quaint, and quiet. Even though it poured for our entire stay we were able to enjoy the artisan bread and sit on the porch watching the goats play. Start to finish, this booking was exactly the experience one wants from a host and the AirBnB experience!

Lake front house on Chemo Pond Lake

KristanRating, 5 stars10 months ago
This is the place to go. From the hospitality of Mary and Mike to the beautiful pond, this was the perfect vacation for our family (kids 13 and 9). The fishing was so fun either from the dock or on the provided canoes. We brought our ATVs and explored the many trails. And the sun rises and sunsets were absolutely breathtaking. We can not say enough about the friendilness of Mary and Mike, they are the example of how hosts should be. We have no complaints. We are recommending this house to all of our friends.

Beautiful 2 bedroom cottage on Pushaw Lake

SneedRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We loved staying at Gaynor's place. It was clean, cozy, well-equipped, peaceful, beautiful, comfortable beds . . . in short, everything we hoped for. Gaynor was extremely friendly, flexible, and communicative, helping us to get excited about going there. The location was outstanding—a natural setting very close to where we needed to go at UMaine and Bangor. If you're a birder, there's tons of bird life right outside the door. We didn't take advantage of the kayaks, but that looked like great fun in warmer weather. If we're back in the area, we'll definitely book here again. One thing guests should be aware of is that access to both bedrooms is provided by a very narrow, steep winding staircase. We had no trouble with this, but someone with disabilities or someone who is very large or has poor balance definitely might. If you have concerns, check with Gaynor about this before you book.

Winterport Evergreen Farm - Guest House

SkipRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Sean and Julia provided a place to stay that was so well thought out, I'm pretty sure I couldn't figure out anything that they had not provided for. And as host myself, I tried. It was comfortable, bright, plenty of room, and had all the stuff that really makes the difference between a good stay and a great stay: plenty of lights, more than enough outlets, good water pressure, plenty of hot water, and a bed that was like sleeping on a cloud. We met both Sean and Julia and they are delightful. Julia took the time to get us settled and explain how things worked in the space, and just generally made us feel welcome and at home. Oh, by the way, the view from the living room picture window is spectacular! And the grounds were green and lush and well kept. All in all we could not have asked for a better AirBnB experience. We highly recommend Sean, Julia, and their space.
