Guesthouse vacation rentals in East Lothian

A cost and comfortable studio, super comfy bed in a very quiet location. Pristine bathroom and very hot shower. Train station is mins walk but never heard a train passing, easy commute to Edinburgh / Glasgow. The town is wonderful, plenty of bars and restaurants and a beautiful loch to walk around and castle to investigate. Great value trip would certainly visit again. Also, excellent communication with Joanne, including directions and local knowledge. Cheers.

Lovely peaceful location, 20 minutes walk to centre and plenty of green parkland on the doorstep. Amanda gave us good advice re parking before we arrived and how to access accommodation. Clear information pack in the property, and even changed our quilt to a lighter tog due to wonderfully sunny warm weather. Lots to do and see in Edinburgh, we were busy every day so nice to come ‘home’ on an evening to calm comfort.

Staff were extremely welcoming and could not do enough for us. The room was lovely, clean and well equipped. Food great too!!

Thoroughly enjoyed our two day stay in The Wee Glasshouse. Fantastic view of the Forth Bridge and an ideal location for visiting Edinburgh. Alan was friendly and communicative whilst respecting our privacy. We would definitely stay here if we were ever in the area again, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

The room was even better than I expected! I had a room on the second floor looking to the back of the house and I didn't hear a thing from outside of from my neighbor! Louise was very kind and even carried my heavy luggage upstairs. She also let me check in early. Would definitely stay here again!

Great stop off on our way further north. Easy to find, not far from A1. Welcoming pub, clean, comfy room and an outstanding breakfast. Things to see locally, we had a drive up to the coast, just 15 minutes. Would stay here again.

We had an amazing stay at Jenny and Tristan’s superb apartment in this beautiful part of Edinburgh. The property itself was perfect for two people and had everything that we needed for a long weekend in the city. The gardens surrounding the property were spectacular and made our stay very special. Jenny and Tristan were the perfect hosts - available when we needed them but left us to our own devices. They were very responsive to any requests and flexible around our check in and check out times. We were so happy staying at their property and hope to visit again some time soon

I had an amazing time, the rooms were incredibly spacious with a surreal view of the highlands. One of the best thing was my conversation with Len. I got to know what a truly wonderful person he is. He shared the story behind the place and the passion and effort he’s poured into making it so warm, vibrant, and unforgettable

Off the beaten track but very close to public transport, airport, and grocery stores. Pastoral setting with cows in the field and birds singing. Nice walking path around the grounds. Kitchen had everything we needed, well stocked. Very private and quiet.

This is a beautiful peaceful place which is only a 35 to 40 minute bus ride from Edinburgh. It was lovely and quiet. There was walks along the river nearby. Kate was friendly and helpful. The accommodation was very nice and had everything you needed

Another lovely stay with Susan. She is a delightful host, always friendly & chatty but not at all intrusive. We feel instantly relaxed here in such peaceful surroundings. Everything is as described, the house is clean & comfortable, with enough equipment in the small kitchen area for making simple meals. It’s easy to heat up or cool down the house as required and there’s plenty of hot water for showering. Excellent walkable location for Coldingham Bay with gorgeous views from the path on the way. Such a lovely part of the country. Highly recommended!

It was a quiet and peaceful place, which made for a comfortable stay. Since it was a long-term stay, I really appreciated the regular cleaning and laundry support.

Just returned from a 2-night stay @ Dovetshill Farm. Such a lovely peaceful place, added extra was the hot tub. Spotlessly clean with everything we needed for our stay. The dog & cats welcomed us when we arrived but they were no trouble at all. Jenny was kind enough to recommend a taxi firm in order for us to venture down to the local golf club for dinner/drinks. Amazing food/friendly staff, would highly recommend

That was very nice place for me to stay , I have been here for two weeks, I love this place very much which is spaceful, tidy, organized. Marilyn keep the kitchen very clean , there are variety of cooking essential that you can use , such as oven, pan, toaster, micro wave,fast oven and so on. I stayed in the six people room, the room is clean and mattress is very comfortable. James is very friendly gentleman, he help me store my luggage when I checked out. Furthermore, you can make some friends in here, definitely I will come back when I visit Edinburgh.

This was the best Airbnb stay we’ve had. The studio is in a peaceful area with a scenic path to the city centre and excellent transport links. Free parking right outside made things even easier. Inside, the space is modern, beautifully designed, and spotlessly clean. Communication with the host was warm and effortless. We felt completely at home and would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!

simple place, but good value for the price

Jane was such a genuinely kind person, she was extremely helpful when we first arrived and showed us how to work the hot tub and sauna, the cabin was beautiful and clean and the kitchen had everything one could need. Jane was extremely responsive as well. place was amazing absolutely worth every penny! x

The room was tidy and furnished with antiques. A very tastefully Victorian house with all modern facilities. We had only time for one night, it would be a place for a longer stay. The house is central to the Downtown of Dumfernline and a good place for visiting Edinburgh. The Host Michael is very friendly and had a lot of tips for visiting the town. Perfect!

I had a fantastic stay at Leo's place in Edinburgh! From the moment I arrived, Leo was incredibly welcoming and helpful, he took the time to show me around the house and explain how everything worked, which made settling in super easy. The property itself is modern, bright, and beautifully maintained. Everything was spotless and thoughtfully arranged, which made the space feel really comfortable and inviting. One of the highlights was the location—set up in the hills and surrounded by nature and farms, it was the perfect peaceful retreat while still being within reach of the city. Jessica was a fantastic host! Super friendly and happy to help both while staying and with recommendations for what to do. The place was spotless and catered for every need, while also being easy walking distance to the centre. There were so many small helpful things that were supplied, including a lovely homemade flapjack. I highly recommend this cosy space for staying, and Jessica as a wonderful host!
