I recently had the pleasure of staying at East Thorne Cottages with my girlfriend, and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and hospitality by Paul. The cottage itself was beautifully designed, offering an amazing place to stay. It was the ideal getaway for us, surrounded by stunning countryside views that made our stay even more special. We had incredible service provided by Paul. He went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, offering great local recommendations and always being available to help with any queries. Paul came around every morning to ensure the hot tub was ready for the day ahead. Providing friendly conversation. His friendly personality truly made us feel at home and added a personal touch to our experience. We met both Sue and Naomi who were both so friendly, polite and welcoming. The location is fantastic, allowing us to explore the beautiful surroundings.

A Perfect Family Getaway at the Buzzard Yurt Our recent stay at the Buzzard Yurt was nothing short of fantastic! My wife, two children, and two dogs had a wonderful time in this beautiful location. The yurt itself was incredibly comfortable and well-equipped, with everything you could possibly need for a cozy stay. The attention to detail was impressive, and it’s clear that the hosts have thought of everything to make guests feel at home. The facilities were top-notch, with the showers being particularly fab – a real treat after a day of exploring the stunning surroundings. The setting is both peaceful and picturesque, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing break. A special mention must go to the hosts, who went above and beyond to accommodate us. I had an interview scheduled during our stay, and they kindly allowed me to use the office in their house, which was a huge help. Their hospitality truly made our stay even more enjoy

We had a lovely stay with our 2 teenagers and toddler. Lovely views and you feel as though you are in the middle of nowhere. Hot tub was great shame it’s not included in the overall price but really can’t complain, had an absolutely wonderful time. Julia was very helpful when needed. Will definitely be back.

Despite the weather taking a turn and it being incredibly wet most the weekend, we throughly enjoyed our stay at the yurt. The yurt itself is very cosy. We bought our projector and screen so we could snuggle up and watch some films with the wood burner going, and the sound of the rain just made it that bit cosier. We loved the hot tub, though we only used it one of the nights we stayed. The farm shop on site is such a fabulous perk of staying here, we grabbed some nice beers/posh vodka, and snacks and nibbly bits, and we popped in and checked out the vintage/antique shop too. Being so close to the farm animals was also really sweet and we both loved the pig. Overall we made the most of our stay and had a really lovely time.

We had the BEST time these past few days. The yurt and the facilities were just fantastic. We felt fully 'away from it all' but the camp was well equipped and we were completely comfortable even on the day when it poured down and the wind howled. The farm is incredible. Stunning scenery and beautiful views. Our three daughters were in their element playing on the lake, the rope swing and in the field adjacent with Wendy and Larry's dog who they made best friends with. There was lots to do both on foot from the camp and a short driving distance away. We will definitely be back soon :)

Gorgeous setting, right next to a stream and a field of sheep! Personally I found that really comforting. The yurt itself was big, and furnished well. There was another yurt on the site, but far away enough so that we were still secluded. Easy to check in, no problems there, very relaxed and private.

our llittle family get away, last minute was amazing Phil and sera are amazing hosts from start to finish, nothing was every to much. The beds are so comfortable 😀 I need to know where the double bed mattress is from.🫠 would definitely be back. thank you from the Roberts

We absolutely loved our stay! Amanda and Tom are great hosts warm and welcoming, the yurt and camp is incredible with everything you could need for a great country stay we throughly enjoyed making the most of the facilities provided being back to nature felt easy with eco features including solar shower and lighting, the bed is one of the best we have stayed in with quality local bedding! We loved the cast iron kettle pots pans and washing equipment! The sausages and homemade cider were an enjoyable highlight fresh wild flowers on arrival along with hot chocolate poping corns teas coffee milk butter homemade bread were all wonderful! I would recommend to anyone that’s thinking of booking a stay! You will not be disappointed! Remember to take time out in the meadow to appreciate the gorgeous glittery sky filled with stars! Just wow. The most magical week! Thank you Olivia and Grant. For creating such a perfect haven. We absolutely loved our stay, it’s even better than the photos. The yurt is gorgeously decorated, large and cosy - you sink into the bedding. Our little girl declared “best bed ever!!!”. The out doors seating areas are fantastic, ideal for all weather. We had a fire pit each night. The kitchen has everything you need! And the inside bathrooms shower is really warm. Our girls absolutely loved bathing outside!! A real highlight. They went from playing in a private part of the river to bathing under trees. All the additional thoughtful touches are everywhere; crafting (stone painting / willow headdress making), s’more jars ready to be used, local items for pampering with the sauna. We just absolutely loved our stay, couldn’t recommend it more highly. Thank you again! Zoe and Ruben

This is glamping at it’s best. All the benefits of getting away from it all and back to basics in the countryside, with the luxury of home comforts in a beautiful private peaceful setting. Sam & Rich had thought of everything to make it a wonderful stay. The biscuits and cider on arrival was a lovely welcome. There’s so much to do on the doorstep; walking, beach days and great food. We hope to come back in the future.

An amazing place to stay. James was very proactive and made sure we had everything needed. It was a nice touch to have a bottle of fresh milk and orange juice in the fridge. The yurt has got everything you need for a break away. The beds are very comfy, the bathroom on the side is clean and the shower is nicely hot (you really do need it when the weather fails you!). The surroundings are to kill for. I was waking up to a sunset with deers running around. Can’t ask for anything else with my morning coffee 😊 Kids and I are already planning another weekend away at the yurt.

we had the best time on our first family holiday with our two small children. the property was beautiful, nature all around us, whimsical, quiet, plenty for kids to do, relaxing and comfortable. Kirsty the manager was SO lovely and helpful really made a difference to our stay, thank you! the owners were very welcoming and lovely too. it was rustic and simple and comfortable exactly what we wanted. short drives to places to explore. really recommend the yurt! thank you again, we are still beaming from our stay.

We absolutely loved our stay at Zen Jungle and are already planning our next trip back! Jason, Hannah and baby Bodhi were lovely. The shamanic breathwork was incredible and the soundbath wonderful. Lakes gorgeous and took a dip in from the sauna. Booked the firepit for the evening and had a bbq, lounged in the hammocks and played table tennis. We stayed in Moon Gazer, which was such a cosy gorgeous cabin and even took a bath outside in the rain. We made the most of every moment there and didn’t leave until check out. It’s a serene, beautiful place 💛

The Glamping pod was a beautiful escape. Having never done so before my partner and I wanted something peaceful and calm, and this delivered. Pod was well situated and close to nearby towns to grab some food and only 20 minutes drive to the Jurassic Coast and Lyme Regis. The extra amenities of Hot Tub and Fire Pit were definitely used and provided us a wonderful evening on the 3 nights we came. Would thoroughly recommend those looking for a peaceful escape away from working lofe

Wonderful yurt in lovely Somerset. Well worth a visit!

what an amazing place! Roehaven is such a beautiful Yurt and we felt like we had the whole field and place to ourselves. Sat looking over the meadow field in the evening as the sun went down was lovely. having your very own flushing toilet and shower was amazing for such an off grid experience. this place was everything we would look for. we took our own solar lights and solar panel and battery so we could charge our own phones etc but there were solar lights already there. Francoise and John were amazing hosts. so helpful and responsive to any questions, they are really lovely people, so nice to just stop and chat to them. this is such a beautiful place and so close to everything. 15 mins to Bude and a bit more to our favourite beach, Sandymouth. our children loved exploring round the big field and playing with our dog. it was really lovely to have the log burner to take the chill off when needed. beautiful place we will definitely be back thankyou Francoise and John

We had a great break at the Nest! The Yurt was so well equipped and put together, with lots of little touches and well thought out amenities. The garden area was lovely and perfect for our dog to explore, safe in the knowledge it was fully secure. Camilla was a great host and gave us lots of local recommendations. There’s lots within a short drive so was a great location to explore from. We really hope to be back as 2 nights didn’t feel enough here!

A lovely few days in the cosy yurt with clean facilities and peaceful campsite. Lots of little touches in the yurt with tea and coffee provided and a hot water bottle. I didn’t have the breakfast hamper but friends did and it looked great. The campsite runs along a main A road so you do hear the road traffic but it’s not too bad. Great location for exploring the local area.

we had a lovely weekend in the yurt. it was as described and Tim was very helpful and responsive. we got a bbq and breakfast hamper both of which were delicious. the shower was lovely and hot with good pressure and the beds were comfortable

The place is so nice especially with nature lovers, secure and we have a privacy. Angus is approachable, quick to response with our messages. We really enjoyed staying in Angus place. We were thankful for extra bonus the 5 free range eggs.

The yurt was absolutely beautiful. A very lovely space beautifully decorated.

Words from the youngest-"Insanity great! The gardens are so beautiful. The shower was godly—the person who built it deserves a golden trophy." Our yurt stay was magical—peaceful sky views from bed, cosy warmth, and thoughtful design. My son adored the comfy bed and soft rug, and the wood burner made evenings perfect. The shower- Majestic.Heavenly.Divine. The outdoor kitchen kept family time going through dinner prep—fully equipped and easy to use, luxurious. The record player was a sweet touch (bringing records next time!). We barely needed our supplies—towels, robes, coffee, air fryer, hot plate, and every pot and pan were provided. The wild swimming lake was clean and clear, with soft water and tadpoles resting in the shallows. A swing on a giant oak, deer wandering the land—it felt like a fairytale. Amanda and Rob were kind, relaxed, and attentive, with a strong sense of care and safety. Our son was totally at ease—he thrived in the calm. This place is magic. We’ll be back.

Such a lovely stay. Stayed for three nights and wish it was for longer! This is our second time back and will definitely be coming again. Only issue we had was with the hot tub it wasn’t quite as hot more warm than anything and the lights/remote for the hot tub didn’t work. Other than that it was such a peaceful enjoyable place to be. Thanks for having us!
