Alanah was a wonderful host! Great communication before and during the trip. The house was cozy and homey; just like the description and pictures on the listing! We knew exactly what to do, and where supplies were if we needed them. The area was peaceful. Check-in was a breeze, and the house manual was super helpful when I was prepping for the trip.

First I want to say this place is better than the photos for sure, the beds are much nicer then what the photos depicted. Also I loved the bay window in the kitchen, you could sit in and read w/ a hot coco. I want to respond to some complaints that I saw before we stayed. One complaint said the door did not lock, either this was fixed or it was user error but the door did lock. You had to hit the “schlarg” button and make sure the door was fully closed then turn the deadbolt. It was stated that this was a sketchy area, I would disagree I think it’s typical for anchorage and far enough away from any main road you won’t be bothered, there’s a trailer as one of the neighbors but nothing nefarious happened and we stayed a week. I saw someone said the windows don’t open, this is also not true. The windows opened just fine and there was a box fan provided. The dining room was gorgeous with plenty of room. the kitchen was fully functional, and would work to cook in. Duncan was great!!!!

We really enjoyed our stay. The space was the perfect size for our family of four. Everything you need to cook is included. We made breakfast and dinner at the rental most days. It is located right next to a beautiful creek and across the street from walking/biking trails. You can connect through the trail to the nearby lake. It's on a quiet street with nicely cared for homes and yards. Nathalia and her family and very kind and helpful. We cannot wait to return next year. Thank you for the wonderful stay!
