After outdoor adventures or campus tours, unwind in the living room, cook in the fully equipped kitchen, or relax on the screened patio. Michigan Tech Trails are out the backdoor, offering rides through lush forests and challenging terrains for mountain bikers in summer, becoming a XC skier's dream in winter.

Home on MTU XC Ski Trails

Located on the Michigan Tech XC Ski Trails, you can ski out the back door. Take a short ungroomed trail to the classic ski trails, or walk down the road to the Mill Road TrailHead to access premier skate skiing trails. We have a ski waxing station in the garage, including a table, vise, waxing iron, scrapers and brush) so you can wax your skis. Just bring your preferred wax. Lastly, three sets of Tubbs snowshoes come with the home. Enjoy winter right from your backyard in a home away from home.

We are 1 mile from Swedetown cc ski/bike trails and sledding hill, and 1/4 mile from snowmobile trails. Less than 5 miles from Lake Superior. We are the perfect spot to start your trip North to wonderful Eagle Harbor, Copper Harbor and Brockway Mountain. Enjoy the wonderful views of the Lake, the Keweenaw, and relax in our cozy home. Unfortunately we do not allow pets or smoking.

The Artist Cabin is the perfect place for mature art-minded individuals and couples that are looking for a lakefront lodging experience. Rotating art exhibits will be featured on the walls of the cabin throughout the year. This private studio cabin includes a full size bed, kitchen table, kitchenette appliances and utensils.

Enjoy the plum and other fruit trees on the property planted by Calumet's Italian immigrants nearly a century ago. This historic home has charm written all over it. A perfect setting to work on your novel or relax after a day of skiing! Located in a very quiet neighborhood in Calumet Township. We hope you enjoy Grandma's house as much as we enjoyed visiting.

We are located 13 miles from Michigan Tech, 28 miles from Mount Bohemia, and 35 miles to Copper Harbor.
