Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Dwingeloo

The house is a wonderfully comfortable house where we spent a very nice vacation. We stayed there for two weeks (we even extended for 1 day) but we could easily have stayed longer. A very nice area where it was wonderful to walk and cycle. And in the garden, about the only sound you heard was from the birds (and sometimes in the distance the sheep). Piet responded to all questions very quickly and when the first day it turned out that the TV was "disrupted" and, despite all the instructions, could not be solved by us, he himself came by to fix it. Even after maintenance by KPN in the area, the internet no longer wanted to start up (tried many times), Piet came by again as a saving angel and the problem could still be solved. In short, very helpful and approachable. Definitely a place to remember!

Very nice Airbnb, on the edge of the forest, where you have beautiful nature. All amenities are within walking/cycling distance. The cottage was great, all instructions were clearly described by the host!

We had a wonderful weekend. The house is very spacious, with several kitchens and dining tables, but everyone also fit at 1 dining table. There were plenty of plates and stuff, which was very nice. And it was all sparkling clean!

We spent a wonderful week in this fantastically beautiful vacation home! Together with friends, our children and their children, we were able to enjoy the tranquility and nature to the fullest. The house is very tastefully decorated, absolutely clean and leaves nothing to be desired – you immediately feel comfortable. The surroundings are idyllic and perfect for families: on the adjacent pasture, the children were allowed to visit sheep and move freely. They were also particularly enthusiastic about the orchard, where we were allowed to pick to our heart's content. There is a cozy restaurant nearby, fresh honey from your own beekeeper and eggs from the chickens right on site – simply wonderful! The hostess was very friendly, spoke very good German and was particularly warm in dealing with the children. We felt completely welcome and can recommend this place without reservation.

Wonderful weekend in Dwarsgracht, despite the rain We had a fantastic weekend in the cottage on the Dwarsgracht, despite the weather not always cooperating. The cottage was comfortable and cozy, and the location is beautiful — even with rain it is enjoyable in this area. What really made the stay special was Eva's hospitality. She was incredibly relaxed and open, even with our animal gang. We immediately felt welcome and comfortable. It's so nice when you come somewhere and find that you are not only tolerated, but really seen and appreciated. Thank you Eva, for your warmth and hospitality! We'd love to come back — hopefully with some more sun next time. 🌦️🐾

This was the most beautiful spot we have stayed at. The location and surrounding were so peaceful. Everything was exactly as shown in the photos.

We had a nice time with six adults. The space was good for the six of us. Monique and Peter sent very clear instructions about the accommodation. Immediately after booking, a message whether we knew that a number of sleeping places with a somewhat steeper staircase are accessible. Very thoughtful but was also clear from the description and photos. Beautiful view, beautiful, very large garden. Sauna was wonderful all in combination with the outdoor shower. Space to put the bikes dry, very nice. Being able to charge the car, also a plus. And Peter and Monique were super nice. We even got some discount on the use of the sauna because they found it annoying that the weather was not so good. I can recommend it to anyone who wants to get away from it all with a few people and enjoy the tranquility and space that is there.

Check-in was straightforward and all the important information was super prepared. The highlight is the view over the water and the terrace, from which you can directly access the lake via a ladder. We were already there for the second time and would be happy to come back.

The Blue House is really something very special. Mieke and Arnold have decorated it very nicely and it is perfectly equipped! I immediately felt very comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed my stay! If I ever come back to Giethoorn, I will definitely want to stay here again 🥰

Niko’s Garden house is a very special place to stay in the residential area close to centre of Groningen. It is surrounded by blocks of houses, still provides an island of peace and real retreat after heavy day of sightseeing, walking… Niko was very helpful and supportive during our visit, and we would highly recommend his house to travelers who prefer an authentic accommodation experience as an alternative to hotel room. We enjoyed Yvonne's beautiful, complete and very clean cottage. There are nice things in the immediate vicinity and even a few restaurants within walking distance. We were only there a few days. Attentive that Yvonne came to get acquainted.

We had an excellent stay! We were visiting family and exploring Friesland and this place was the perfect place for us to stay while doing so! Hella is so welcoming and greeted us when we arrived. The location was peaceful and relaxing with a beautiful view of a pond in the backyard and there were beautiful trails near the Airbnb. The Airbnb was an excellent home away from home while we traveled and if we were visiting in the area again we would definitely want to stay there again!

Ellen and Jaap were lovely hosts, we had an incredible stay at their place! It was so creatively and artistically decorated, and I have never slept better at an Airbnb — the beds were so comfortable, and the neighborhood was so peaceful. It was awesome to have a sweet dog and cat roaming around to make us animal-lovers feel right at home :) 5/5 stars on all levels!

A beautiful, modern accommodation that is beautifully furnished and had everything and more to offer than we wanted for a relaxing weekend. The highlight here is the breakfast, which is prepared with so much love. The organization and communication was just great, so we felt comfortable with our hostess Jitske right away. My wife and I booked this accommodation because we had a Motorrij Experience at TT-Assen. We were pleasantly surprised with this cool house, highly recommended in the summer at tropical temperatures in NL. The space is artistically decorated and also soothing. The living room has a spacious sitting area, a nice kitchen block, a sofa set. The bathroom is spacious with glass wall, partition between shower and toilet. The bedroom is nice and spacious and has a good bed. We woke up rested to go to the motorcycle experience. When we came back in the afternoon, we sat in the garden for another hour. The garden is pure nature with lots of greenery and flowers. For us, it was a great weekend. Regards, Guido and Oesha

The best neighborhood , a minute walk from downtown and a place that feels just like home! Timnette and her husband welcomed us to their beautiful home and very lovely people . We checked in early because we arrived early but enjoyed the walk straight after in the area. Plenty of restaurants around , supermarket is 5 minutes walking and home was fully equipped with everything. I wish we stayed for longer it was th perfect holiday home. Thank you for making our stay super memorable with my mother 🫶🏼

Jannie and Arnold were great hosts, Arnold met us when we drove in and showed us the house. They gave us tips for restaurants in the area and supplied is with everything we needed for our night stay. The place is beautiful and peaceful, 10 minutes drive from Groningen. Would recommend for a peaceful weekend away.

Beautiful location and really nice, we were allowed to use two bicycles and a canoe, which was great. We were in Groningen in about 45 minutes by bike.

What a lovely waterfront apartment this is! After good and fast communication in advance, the apartment was easy to find. While we already had the login code in our pocket, we were still warmly welcomed. The apartment was exactly as shown in the pictures: clean, very complete, spacious and a fantastic balcony overlooking the water. We really enjoyed the weekend and the good care, and would love to come back here again.

Jolanda's place was perfect for our 1 month stay. The patio was great for sunny breakfasts. Small town with everything you need. We made some great friends in town. Lively on weekends and quieter during the week. Centrally located to other fun towns. There is about a 10 min walk to the train station. Highly recommend this Airbnb and town.

Very welcoming, together with granddaughter Patrick nest of swallows watched with 3 kids in sheep cage, highly recommended!
