Family-friendly vacation rentals in Douglas County

Our stay in the penthouse apartment at Marina's Edge was unparalleled. From booking all the way through checking out, Kelly was responsive to questions and proactive in providing critical information to our stay. The apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay -- plenty of towels, dishes, and seating overlooking beautiful Lake Chelan. Lots of local literature provided to which was very helpful, and it was a quick walk to bars/tasting rooms in downtown Manson which was a huge plus. Kelly was also super fast to respond to an issue with the keypad to ensure we weren't locked out long when that system malfunctioned. A stunning spot, well-kept space and a friendly and responsive host -- the perfect stay!!

Shauna was a great host. The house has amazing views. We visited during Christmas brake and had lots of snow to play in. We will definitely be coming back in the summer to enjoy the pool with the view. Thank you so much for your hospitality😍

What an incredible stay, I was here for about 5 weeks. I hope to be able to reserve again in the future. Btw - there ARE spices in the kitchen now.

We loved the condo! It's in a perfect location with plenty of restaurants and activities within walking distance in Manson. The lake views from the condo were beautiful, and having access to the pool was a great bonus. The host was very responsive and offered recommendations that were very helpful. Overall loved our stay!

We enjoyed our quick stay and wish we could have stayed longer. The house is beautiful and the outside deck area and dock were wonderful. We were there to watch the hydro races and perfect relaxing location to watch from the deck. The house was spacious, clean and comfy. The kitchen was big and had all things to make a meal. Close to Manson and walkable to the town and park. The hot tub was clean and nice on the chilly evenings. Would love to come back and stay again in the summer. Great stay and host!

It was a very welcoming atmosphere. The kitchen was well stocked and all appliances worked as expected which made cooking a breeze. The stocked items were welcomed. The bedrooms had plenty of space and the clean sheets and there were plenty towels for everyone. I can't wait to come again. The view was spectacular. I could see the playground clearly which was so helpful with the kids. Thank you for being patient with all our questions.

A very nice condo and easy walking to town and restaurants and walking across the street to the park and walkways is very convenient. The condo was clean and spotless. I would stay there again.

Wapato is always a fun spot to stay. Their condo is located on the end which is quieter and less foot traffic in front. You have a beautiful lake view which was perfect for watching fireworks.

Great place, responsive host, stocked kitchen, ping pong and foos ball, beautiful lake, kayaks and other water gear on site, great space for board games and shared meals.

Everything we needed was already at hand. Clear descriptions and instructions were given before arrival, so there was no confusion finding the place or getting into the place. They also were very clear about checkout instructions, which made it very easy and stress-free closing up after our trip. I love the space for our dogs and I would definitely come back!

We picked this for the location and being dog friendly, it served all of our needs well! We just loved the river walk park around the block, access to drop the paddle boards in, and town just blocks away. The main two lane road out front is busy but with a bus lane it’s easy to back out and great to have the driveway with two parking spaces.

We traveled to the Methow Valley to play in the snow for a long weeeknd. There was about a foot of snow at the house. Our pup enjoyed playing with the dogs on the property which was nearly fully fenced and felt safe despite being right off the highway. There was a nice road/trail along the river that was good for walking. The house was spacious and cozy as were the beds. The TV was in the corner behind the sitting area, which was odd. We ended up watching a movie on our device instead of using the tv. Lots of board games to play. The shower was always hot with plenty of towels. Only note is to be prepared with oils, condiments, and other cooking basics as there is only salt and pepper in the house. There was tea and coffee filters, but no coffee. The house was within a reasonable driving distance to Twisp to charge EVs, which cannot be done at the house. We drove out to Loup Loup Ski Bowl for a day. This place has great access to many outdoor activities.

This was the perfect spot for what we needed—a couple of days in a clean, calm home within walking distance to town and the water. The yard and fruit trees were beautiful and the house was very well-kept. It’s an older house, and we loved the homey vibe. Everything was chill and easy and we plan to come back again sometime!

We loved our stay at the Airbnb. The place was very clean, and the views were amazing. The lake looked pristine in the full moon night. On the second day of our stay, there was an issue with the hot water, however the property manager was prompt to respond and offer any help that was needed. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the place & views made it more enjoyable

This is the most well-stocked Airbnb we have ever stayed at. The house was very nice and clean. It had everything we needed. The Sun Cove community consists of mostly vacation/retirement homes. Riding around in a golf cart and motorized scooters seems to be the main leisurely activity. We weren't really able to use the community pool or game room because it was always super crowded. There were a lot of families with young children and many groups of teenagers hanging out. We mostly hung out on the deck, went on long walks and played some tennis. Overall, we had a great time and I would definitely recommend Brent's Airbnb.

We visited Lake Chelan with 5 families and kids. Kids had fun in the pool. We had memorable time round the firepit. The place is as described and we had fun! John is responsive and the information is provided well in advance. Would recommend this place while you visit Lake Chelan.

This was our second stay at Marina’s Edge and we had an amazing time. The condo was perfect and had plenty of space for our group of seven. It’s within walking distance of several restaurants and wine tasting rooms as well as the lake. Kelly is amazing and we can’t wait to return for a third time!

Stunning views in this 4th floor condo. And yes there is a lot of stairs and no elevator but if you can handle that you will love this spot perfectly situated near the pool, restaurants and a short jaunt to a small beach area. It was very clean with a lovely floor plan. The pictures say it all. We were 3 couples and did fine with 2 bathrooms and three bedrooms. The main bedroom is spectacular with views to die for. So roomy with attached bathroom and a balcony. I would definitely stay here again.

This is where we like to stay when we come into Manson. We will stay here again for sure!

My family and I stayed here on a last minute trip to Chelan. The condo was perfect for us! Had all the amenities listed and super close to town and the lake. The pool was a hit with our kids. We’d absolutely book here again! The hosts were so kind and communicative.
