Our family of 4 had such a wonderful time at the Lavender Loft. The home is comfortable, clean and has everything you’d need. The outside surroundings are truly peaceful, it was just what we needed. Carmen had so many suggestions for local spots to check out which was so hopefully. We look forward to coming back to MI in the future and would definitely look to book with Carmen again.

Cottage on Dewey Lake, near Notre Dame

We LOVED staying at Tj's place. It was a great location on Dewey Lake, beautifully decorated inside, and immaculately clean. We had an issue with the furnace, and Tj responded quickly and did his best to rectify the situation. The furnace couldn't be fixed over the weekend, but we used the fireplace and a neighbor brought over space heaters at Tj's request, so we were nice and toasty. Because the weather was rainy, we didn't get to use the deck with the fire pit. But we did get to use the sun room when the sun was out, to read and gaze out at the lake. I look forward to returning, and recommend Tj's cottage to anyone looking for a getaway in the Sister Lakes / Dowagiac area. We would also recommend The Baker's Rhapsody in Dowagiac for coffee and baked goodies for a treat, and the Sister Lakes Brewery for good, plentiful casual food. Their beer selection is excellent; get a four beer flight of your choosing. The Dewey Lake Monster selection is particularly good!

Wonderful stay. The house was well stocked and clean, and the beds were comfortable. The lot is very large with plenty of space for yard games and activities. Would 100% look for availability here, if we were staying in the area in the future.

Wonderful hosts! House was very cleanly and spacious. I liked the multiple entry points for convenience. We had no face to face contact while staying, which most people prefer, but they were lovely over text and very responsive. Most of all I loved all of the cats and chickens! Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a peaceful place to stay. :)
