Amazing location right on the river with beautiful views and excellent fishing. Incredibly relaxing! Highly recommend and would definitely return.

Excellent stay at this Airbnb. If you are thinking of coming to St Helen to ride the ORV trails, this is an excellent choice! It’s right down the street from St Helen Motorsports, two gas stations, 3 restaurants, 2 pizza shops and multiple trail head entrances within 2 miles or less!!! The house looks exactly like the pictures and description, and the hot tub, outdoor fire pit, and indoor fireplace were amazing! I will note….it is a bit on the small side. Beds are as described, but feet hang off the bed and rooms are small. 4 grown adults was pushing it here, especially with one bathroom. Also note. There is BARELY enough room for a small truck and trailer to park in front. The other truck had to park underneath the large garage due to no park space. Other than that, which is really just an explanation, it is the ultimate st Helen stop!

My husband spent two nights at this wonderful cabin and so enjoyed our time there! We ate at the boat house for lunch one day and walked the Wolf Creek Trailhead another, but other than that we enjoyed being at the cabin! The backyard was incredibly serene! We read and talked for hours around the bonfire until dark and then hit the hot tub both nights! What a wonderful space to get away and reconnect as a couple! I would absolutely suggest it as a couples get away! ❤️

We really enjoyed staying here for a five year anniversary getaway and relaxation. Our pup got her zoomies out and even explored by the River! We would definitely book again! Both Frank and Kaylee were responsive if we had any questions and great hosts!

This was the perfect place for our weekend getaway. The house is in a quiet area with easy parking and views and an easy walk to the bay. Check-in was simple, with Kate providing great instructions for the keypad to let ourselves in. The house was cozy with all amenities as described, and we felt right at home. All the Traverse City attractions were easy to get to, and Kate provided great recommendations. We had an awesome time and would definitely stay here again.

Nice cabin in the woods. Hot tub works but could use a new control panel. Inside is what we expected and more. Comfy beds. two fire pits outside. if you have small kids like us be aware there is a steep drop around one side and partly behind the cabin thats pretty close to fire pit. If i decide to stay near baldwin or go hunting the state game area i will deffinitly be back here. not the cleanist place but for the price im not even gonna conplain. wasnt terrible but could have been dusted and swept up a little more. i just grabbed the broom in the bathroom and used the shark vaccum on arrival and when we left. its not nasty dirty so dont take me the wrong way. for the price conpared to similar cabins and what we got out of it i feel its worth it by a long shot. Shelby has great communication. Thank you!

We truly enjoyed staying at the Funky Frog, the space was perfect for our needs with our two dogs, backyard, fire pit with wood, the beach was right down the road and we were easily able to take our dogs out for long walks which they loved.

Our family loved the time we had at Todd’s cabin, it was exactly what we needed. The cabin is in a very peaceful, quiet setting. The beds were very comfortable, both adults and kids loved the jukebox and games, and being able to have a kitchen that was equipped with all the pots/utensils/things we needed was huge. It made cooking at the cabin for ourselves a breeze. Todd was a great communicator and we had no issues during our stay at all. Thanks again so much!

Beautiful secluded cabin. Haven’t heard whippoorwills sing in the evening like they do here. No traffic sounds, no neighbors, just peaceful quiet cabin. Very clean and well cared for.

This is my second stay, but certainly not my last! Cozy and clean, with all the thoughtful touches! Love sitting on the couch in the morning with a cup of coffee and looking out at the woods behind the cabin. Sunday morning we had a porcupine visit. Nothing threatening, just passing through. Rick is always very responsive, and the cabin is spotlessly clean! Close to Roscommon for South Branch AuSable canoeing/kayaking and also close to Grayling for AuSable Main Branch access. For pit is a treat. Quiet and peaceful retreat and located centrally for river access!

This is such a special place. Enjoyed a nice weekend with my girlfriends. We enjoyed the privacy and the many areas to hangout here. Highly recommend

it was a great cabin we had to leave early do to my husband brian injury but stay was great while we were there

6th year staying at Dennis and Danielle’s cabin in Gladwin. My family loves staying there, great veiw of lake , great size for my families needs there’s usually 8- to 12 of us. We’ve had good luck fishing, 33 inch Pike, huge bass. We rent a pontoon boat! Will be back next year! Thanks Dennis and Danielle

Roomy, immaculately clean, comfy bed and linens, with a well stocked kitchen. The large outdoor deck is perfect for al fresco dining, sipping your favorite beverage, or relaxing reading, all while taking in the scenic surroundings. Out back was a great firepit to complete the Michigan lake living feel. Communication with host was outstanding. Grab this adorable house if your dates are open, you won't be disappointed!

A hidden gem—nestled in the woods, yet close to everything. The charming cabin was spotless, well-stocked, and its back wall of windows opened to an enchanted view. The serene river out back—with a dock, kayaks, and fire ring—made it feel like a private retreat. Our visit was part of a brief family reunion getaway with our two sons and daughter-in-law, and Emily was wonderfully responsive, warm, and accommodating. Though brief, our stay was incredibly relaxing—kayaking, sitting by the fire with s'mores (provided!), enjoying the outdoor shower, and sipping morning coffee on the deck while soaking in the calm. We truly didn't want to leave. Highly recommend this gem to anyone seeking comfort and nature in one perfect spot.

We had a fantastic stay at Gordon’s place in St. Helen! The house was in pristine condition when we arrived—immaculately clean and clearly well cared for. It felt incredibly welcoming and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing trip. Gordon was a great host, and we had zero issues during our stay. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great spot in the area!

We spent the weekend here for our honeymoon and it was wonderful! It was great to escape for a few nights - we loved the private location & all of the amenities with the cabin (record player, dvd player, coffee maker, etc.) as well as the campfire area. This is very close to Torch Lake, as well as only ~45 minutes from Traverse City so there is plenty to do if you are looking to go out. The cabin was cozy & relaxing, so you may just want to stay there the whole time. I would caution future guests to prepare yourselves for the drive in - it’s hidden in a wooded area, so your car may be stuck in the mud or blocked by fallen trees - just be prepared for that. Otherwise, this was the perfect getaway & we can’t wait to return!

My son and I had an amazing time at this super cool, clean and comfortable cabin. Crystal and Jim were so friendly and welcoming. They are good people and make you feel like family. Jim was gracious enough to give us a ride up river with two kayaks for an awesome float down the Chippewa River to the cabin in pristine mid/Michigan beauty. Jim is like the river whisperer - proactively chainsawing river obstructions and marking safe passage with red ribbon, as well as pointing out the best fishing holes along the way. My son and I grilled steaks and shared stories around the fire pit in a wonderful, peaceful setting. A great place with wonderful hosts! Thanks, Crystal and Jim!

We had a lovely, quiet stay in the cabin. We would definitely stay again and for longer if we had the chance. We only stayed 1 night and thoroughly enjoyed our WiFi less evening. Happy we got to see the stars clearly at night. The bed was very comfy and everything we needed was there. We arrived later than expected but the hosts were flexible which we appreciate.
