The most beautiful place, exceeding all expectations. The views are spectacular. We breathed in peace and tranquility. A fabulous place to celebrate my 80th birthday with the whole family -- 16 of us. Everyone was comfortable in the space. In addition to being the perfect host, Samantha provided surprise extras which was such fun! Just a few of the highlights: S'mores at the firepit, lobster dinners, seals, bald eagles and fireworks. She made our stay truly memorable. My family gives the place the highest recommendation.

This house has a beautiful view of the lake!! The complementary water activity’s are worth booking!! We enjoyed our stay and will come back!! Make sure to walk out on the dock at night and look at the stars!!

Our stay at the Great Pond Airbnb was incredible! The house was beautiful, cozy, and fully stocked with all the amenities we needed. We especially loved the paddle boat—it was magical to take it out on the lake early in the morning and watch the sunrise. Truly a dream! Finding the place initially was a bit tricky (we missed some details in the instructions), and cell service in the area is spotty, so definitely screenshot directions beforehand. Once settled, though, it was perfect. Being just over an hour from Acadia National Park was a huge bonus! We had a blast hiking, especially on Precipice Trail (challenging but amazing!) and Beehive Trail for a slightly easier, but still fun option. This spot offered the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure. Highly recommend it if you're looking for a peaceful, nature-filled getaway!

Awesome place! Easy to find and awesome location. Shower was hot quickly. Bed was firm (which we love). Would go there again!

It’s a lovely cabin, the hot tub is a plus. It’s also fairly private since it’s last cabin of the property.

We had a great two nights here and enjoyed the hot soak and the sauna. It was near many amenities and also felt very removed. Matt’s was attentive without being intrusive, making sure our stay was perfect and the escape we hoped it would be.

Adorable cottage, newly renovated. Perfect for two with an open space loft for one more. Kitchen is well stocked right down to the coffee. A good location if visiting Fort Knox, Mt. Barrie and not too far from Bar Harbor if that is on your list. Great stay, highly recommend. Beautiful view and private.

We had a very relaxing vacation. Verona Island is convenient for day trips to a number of attractions like Acadia, Camden and even Monhegan Island. Even when the weather was bad there was plenty of table space for puzzling, Bananagrams and Scrabble. The house was comfortable with views of the Penobscot River.

The location was perfect for our trip. The house it self was extremely clean and lots of space for us to hang out and also have our space. Close to Acadia which we visited Saturday and the house was a great distance to enjoy the day without staying in town! The amenities were in great condition and everything in the listing was there. I would definitely stay again.

What a cool house! Very unassuming from the pictures. It's like a time capsule -- shag carpet, retro wallpaper, vintage fixtures and paneling. Although old, everything was clean upon arrival. I love old things so I enjoyed the aesthetic, although for someone with heavy allergies or sensitivities, the age and moisture may be something to consider. That being said, I have chronic allergies and sinusitis and I would 100% stay here again. The property itself is the focal point and the draw. It's set on a point of the cove where you can hear and see the seals in the distance, and you feel like you're on an island. While we were there, the sun came up at 4:30 every morning and we were out on the back deck at 4:45 with coffee in hand. So peaceful and serene! Use of their kayaks and life vests was an added bonus -- note to self, the islands in the distance are further than they look!! :) The kitchen was well equipped for cooking, and we enjoyed the use of the back grill. Lovely home!

We felt right at home at LInda's place. It is beautifully furnished and decorated and there is plenty of space. Everything was spotless. Having a washer and dryer really made a difference. The cottage is close to a busy road so there was some road noise outside, but in the cottage it was quiet and peaceful. Linda is very friendly and helpful and had put out welcome muffins for us, which was such a nice touch. I would definitely stay here again!

I had a wonderful stay here! The inside is clean and cozy! Plus we enjoyed being able to cook over the fire and hang out by the lake. The location is private and peaceful. 35 minutes to the entrance of Acadia but depending on what part of the park you are headed to it can be up to an hour drive. I would stay again!

Tucked in the woods of Orrington, Maine, this lakeside retreat offers a rare kind of stillness. Facing south on the water’s edge, it provides serene views of both sunrise and sunset that frame each day in quiet beauty. Wildlife is abundant, loons echo across the lake and deer move gently through the trees, yet the home is only a short drive from Bangor’s restaurants, trails, and conveniences. We initially booked for three nights but quickly extended to four. This place invites lingering. It’s easy to settle into the rhythm of the land, the lake, and the quiet. Inside, the home is curated with care including a lovely vinyl collection; late night jazz and morning classical set the perfect tone for slow coffee and reflection. The host was responsive and thoughtful throughout, making everything seamless. We will absolutely return and recommend this home to anyone seeking not just a place to stay, but a space to truly be.

Such an absolutely magical place to stay! My pup and I stayed for a month while I worked and played. Gorgeous views of the Beech Hill Pond and close enough to various towns for hiking, sightseeing and enjoying local food. Spent time on Deer Isle, MDI at Bar Harbour & Acadia, and even made the trek to Lubec. if you want to experience a wee bit of winter and early spring, mid to late March into April was the perfect time. We had a few inches of snow fall within the first few days of the trip. Don't hesitate to book this cottage!

We loved our stay. Super convenient location to all Acadia NP has to offer. About 10 minutes to get to Bar Harbor. We especially loved the privacy and serenity of the property. If you want to get away to a private place, this is perfect. We also loved having the EV charging. I don't know if we could have visited Acadia without it. Philip was a great host and gave awesome recommendations.

The cottage is a wonderful retreat in the beautiful town of Stonington. The cottage is very comfortable with all of the amenities I needed or wanted, including a nice bed, internet, washer/dryer, and kitchen supplies. Plus, it has a beautiful garden with a table and chair that was perfect for relaxing outside. The area feels very safe and it is very easy to walk into town to the shops and a few restaurants or just to look at the harbor. Crockett Cove Woods and Sand Beach are easy to get to and definitely worth a visit. Stonington is one of my absolute favorite places, and I can't recommend it enough for a quiet, peaceful getaway along the Maine coast. Maggi is a wonderful host; she is responsive, respectful, attentive, and kind - and fun to talk to! I stayed at the cottage a couple of years ago for several weeks and worked remotely, and I loved it so much that I came back for a weeklong visit just for relaxation, and that's the biggest praise I can give a place!

What an amazing place! The view of the shore from the house is beautiful and a perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee. An easy walk to the shoreline is such an advantage to this lovely cabin. Comfortable and well equipped. We look forward to returning.

This was my second time staying at Reach Winds, and I’ve been dreaming of a return since my first stay. It’s such a special place. Waking up to the view and the sun streaming in, sitting on the deck watching the tide roll in and out - it’s just magical. Basha is warm, an expert in the area and eager to share suggestions. (We took most of them and enjoyed the hikes, swims, shopping, food and wine throughout the trip.) Her eye is impeccable with the most perfectly curated Maine coastal cabin. That said, it’s an airbnb for a specific experience. If you want modern amenities, it’s not for you! It’s for someone who wants to be in nature, in a peaceful and private setting, and who doesn’t mind hand washing dishes in the cutest kitchen with a collection of vintage dishware and birds singing outside. (No fox sightings this year, but last time, I watched baby foxed frolick!) It’s a time capsule. If you want that, you’ll find no better lodging in Maine, and no better host than Basha.

Robert was an incredibly responsive, kind and proactive host. The space is exactly as described, comfortable and Robert has thought of everything. The surroundings are amazing, we loved listening to the loons, watching the chipmunks & even got a glimpse of a beaver one morning. Kayaking was great, with the equipment and dock easy to access and use. We visited Acadia and loved having such a quiet respite after long days exploring the beautiful area. Highly recommend staying here, already thinking about our next trip back!

I wish we could rate Chelsea’s place more than 5 stars! Chelsea and her family were beyond welcoming and made sure we had an incredible time. Truly the best Airbnb experience we’ve had and hope to be back soon! Chelsea’s place is in a beautiful setting and was perfect for my children (ages 1 year and 3 years). We would highly recommend!!!
