Opende lies in the Frisian Forests. The airBNB is on our property on the border of Groningen and Friesland. Hiking and cycling can be done in the nearby nature reserves Alde Feanen, Bakkeveen, Beetsterzwaag and Lauwersmeer. A day in Ameland or Schiermonnikoog is also great to do. Culture can be gained in Groningen, Leeuwarden and Heerenveen (about 25 minutes). Surhuisterveen is about 2 km away and has a shopping center with supermarkets, restaurants and all kinds of shops. You must arrange breakfast yourself.

Nice vacation home! We were there with 5 adults and had a very nice weekend. The house is large enough for 5 people. There are 3 large bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Neatly furnished and equipped with every comfort. Very quiet area overlooking the meadows. You can sit outside at a large table. The driveway fits 2 cars.

A modern kitchen features a wooden countertop with high stools positioned at one side. The sink and stovetop are integrated into the cabinetry, accented by decorative tiles on the wall. Natural light filters through the slatted window shades, enhancing the functional space.

We really enjoyed it here. The apartment is even bigger than it looks in the photos. You wake up in the morning overlooking the fields, and with a little luck you can even see a few cows walking past the window. The apartment leaves nothing to be desired. In the kitchen, for example, all the necessary things are available. You can quickly reach the shops to make purchases. Groningen can be reached in about half an hour by car for a wonderful excursion. The highlight for us were the cows and alpacas in the front yard. Geert and his wife are so friendly and accommodating. You feel right at home without them being intrusive. We are thrilled with our stay and recommend this property with full conviction.

The time in Jistrum was great. It is a small oasis in nature, ideal for relaxing and leaving everyday life behind. In the surrounding area there are beautiful villages and in the accommodation itself offers with canoe, SUP or support with bike rental. We actually didn't use any of it because we mainly just enjoyed the peace and quiet and occasionally wanted to explore the area itself. A special highlight for us was the small pond at the house, which houses many frogs and the opportunity to sit right there and make a fire in the evening. Just great! we were even greeted by a wild hare :)

The entrance features an elegant dark door with intricate white metalwork, set against a classic brick facade. A potted plant is positioned to the side on the doorstep, enhancing the welcoming appearance of the entryway.

Delightful relaxing campsite! All kinds of bird and frog sounds. There is a lookout over the lake. A real nature camp. Quiet fellow campers. No noise pollution. The campsite is small. As a result, the location can be found. Comfortably made up beds. Nicely decorated, practical and quality/price for lower amount. I felt at home there.
