We had a great stay, Mark was friendly and we enjoyed the goodies made by Kate. We also enjoyed the pigs, ducks, and chickens on the property. The accommodation is as pictured and is clean. The location was ideal as we were able to walk to the pubs in Aberlour (40min), drive to some seaside towns, and stop off in the Caringorms on our was back home.

Cottage was stunning and in such a good location for all the distilleries we were visiting. The place was spotless and had everything you’d need for your stay. Karen passed her contact number but to be honest she had a comprehensive information book with all the local activities. We travelled to visit the local distilleries and GlenAllachie is about a two minute walk from the cottage. We had lovely weather so sat outside on the garden furniture and only saw about two cars pass and a handful of tourists. It really was quiet and relaxing and I’d have no hesitation in recommending the cottage. I’ll certainly be booking again when I’m next up. It’s a wee gem!!!! Thanks Karen

The most charming stay of our trip! We absolutely adored our time at this Archiestown cottage—truly our favorite place we’ve stayed. Every detail was so thoughtfully considered, and as someone who works in interior design, I found myself inspired by the cozy, well-curated decor. The cottage had more than we needed, and everything felt both functional and beautiful. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we genuinely wished we were staying longer. The only hiccup was figuring out how to get hot water in the shower—but I’m quite certain that was user error. We’d return in a heartbeat!

The interior is impeccably clean, tastefully decorated, and designed with comfort in mind, making it easy to settle in right away. From our first message to the final check-out, communication with Kim and Mark was warm, responsive, and professional. Every detail was thoughtfully managed, and we truly felt at home throughout our stay. Without hesitation, we’d rate this as a five-star getaway and enthusiastically recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, high-quality retreat.
