Swallow Cottage was lovingly converted by Steve and Sarah from McMurdoston's old granary in 2014 and provides a wonderfully peaceful place to stay while exploring Dumfries and Galloway. The cottage is only 20 minutes drive from a 24-hour supermarket, a cinema and numerous eateries, but once you get here you'll feel as if you are truly in the middle of nowhere. We live just across the yard if you need us and we'll do everything we can to make your stay comfortable, relaxing and quietly memorable.

The Bothy is ideally located just 4 minutes drive from junction 15 of the A74(M). It is in large gardens surrounded by woodland and farmland. There is free parking beside the cottage. The porch has plenty of room for hiking boots, coats and dog leads and seating to relax and watch the rabbits. The two bedrooms have excellent mattresses and thick toppers for a good nights sleep. Charming chalet in peaceful rural location.

Our chalet is in our large, well managed garden. While it is near our house and we are happy to chat, we always respect peoples privacy. This is a very peaceful place where you can sit outside and watch the flames of the fire pit at night or stay in and have a cosy evening.
