Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Cumberland

This is the 2nd time I've stayed at Emma's place. I came both times for a workshop and ceremony that took place in both Freeport and in Portland. Drives to Portland were the longest, and not too taking, and I chose to stay at Emma's place BECAUSE of the way the house holds me: the spaciousness, the attention to art and wisdom, the lighting and unfussy-yet-design-inspired furniture choices, the plant life, the textures and colors: all these things are soothing and welcoming. It was a pleasure to drive "home" exhausted, knowing what it feels like to open that back door.

Enjoyed our stay very much! Lovely location on the water. Some white traffic noise but worth it watching the boats and wildlife! Comfy bed. We slept very well. Well-stocked kitchen. The location is perfect for lots of little day trips. Our only disappointment was the size of the smallest room. It’s very tiny. Great for a child but pretty tight for our adult son. Host was attentive. We will be back!

Everything was as described and more! With a wonderful location close to town, good privacy, and so much space inside with many commodities we wouldn’t even think of. Even our dog had a fun filled week with us. We hope to visit again, it’s just the perfect home away from home. Couldn’t recommend a better place to stay.

Easy 5 stars! Phillip was kind, proactive and responsive. The space, while quaint and simple, was clean, had all the essentials and, it was perfect for a week visiting my grandparents/ working remote! Not to mention my dogs loved being a half mile from the Bath dog park. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a Maine mid-coast getaway!

Great location on the east end--residential with short walk to the Eastern Promenade and large waterfront park, as well as downtown and tourist amenities. Very efficient use of the small space. Because we wanted to take advantage of dining out, the lack of a kitchen was no problem for us. The bedroom was surprisingly large and bathroom a tad small, but overall a very homey and comfortable stay for a few days.

We had family in town for graduation and Amy’s place checked all the boxes for us. Plenty of room to spread out yet still be together. The bedrooms were roomy and cozy. Our little nephew loved the well-stocked bookcase that allowed him to have a different story every night. The trampoline and outside space were wonderful. We even used the barbecue. Would definitely recommend!

Angela’s place was wonderful! Very cozy, clean and comfortable, well stocked, close to downtown Portland. Snacks was a nice touch! Angela was very responsive. Hope to come back soon!

This house was perfect for me and my guests! All 7 of us fit perfectly, It didn’t feel too overcrowded! We loved the beautiful view off the deck and the hot tub was an amazing touch! The house was very clean and had everything we could’ve needed. I loved how clear the instructions were for everything and how responsive the hosts are if you need anything!

We had a lovely stay at the condo. It was the most comfy place to get snowed in. We received about a foot of snow the night we checked in and Seasons was very helpful to continually plow and shovel walkways. We explored the property and had fun sledding down hills with our tube. The condo is very clean and comfortable and has everything you may need. It was still decorated for the holidays which was a nice touch as well. The electric fireplaces worked great and were so pretty to look at. All of the furniture was very cozy and comfortable. The carpet throughout is great on cold days. We highly recommend a sleigh ride at Nestlenook farm if staying in the winter. Living Shores Aquarium is down the block and a great place to visit with kids. Diana’s Baths is a short drive away and beautiful to explore in the snow. Our daughter loved seeing the frozen waterfall. There are lots of restaurants nearby. We can’t wait to come back and see it during the summer months.

The place was so clean, quiet and peaceful. Secluded but so much to do in a short area. Can’t say enough good things. Will be coming back.

We loved our stay and couldn't have felt more at home. Condo has everything you need and the hosts were so kind. Plenty of space for our family of 4 but could easily fit 6. Location is ideal for families to explore all Bartlett has to offer. Highly recommend and can't wait to come back!

My family and I had an amazing weekend. Melissa was very responsive and flexible with checking in/out. Everything was clean, plenty of linens and towels, great location, comfy beds. 10/10. We can’t wait to be back!

I was meeting with family for a graduation. Four of us were staying here. The place was exactly what we needed in our lives and hoped for. It was country, quiet, peaceful and beautiful. It was so beautiful sitting on the back porch that we never once sat in the living room. We had lots of coffee and laughs sitting out there. We never even went into the hot tub or sauna. Would definitely recommend if this is what you need for your soul.

Great house! Very spacious, plenty of bathrooms, and fantastic location. Very easy to communicate with the owners and check in/out was simple. My minor only critique is that we wish the grill were a bit bigger and nicer. We wanted to grill one day, but we were a little disappointed and unable to do so due to the grill quality. Would definitely stay again!

The building was a little dated. The room was clean and neat. Hot water in the bathroom sink could use improvement. Again, the property is older.

Kelsey was a great host, super responsive and allowed us to check in earlier due travel changes. The home was well-stocked with everything we needed for a ten-day stay and very clean upon arrival. Location is great; central to both small town and urban charm. Would definitely stay again!

Jennifer was a phenomenal host. She was very accommodating (we were traveling with our 8 month old) which was extremely helpful. The place was spotless, quiet and very peaceful. We felt right at home and you can easily walk right to downtown Freeport. Highly recommend this host and this location!

We really enjoyed our stay here! It was close to Caswell farms which we were at for a wedding. Alison was so kind and helpful. She went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed! Would absolutely stay here again.

Laura was a great host. We stayed at her place for a night to split up our drive from MA to Bar Harbor. We almost didn’t want to leave! Very clean, comfortable and easy check in. Laura was also super helpful and responsive and even gave us a great list of things to do in Acadia. We 100% recommend her and her place, you won’t be disappointed!

GREAT FIND!! Don & Nina were fantastic hosts! We LOVED the location. We were welcomed with fresh flowers in a vase on the dining table, and we enjoyed our meals together there as well. We greatly appreciate how CLEAN the entire place was. The setup of their place was just perfect for us and our parents! We love to coo k, and the kitchen is well-appointed! The beds and pillows were very comfortable giving us a good night's sleep each night. The full-sized bedroom has a mini split which adds to the warmth or cool (whichever is needed). The master bedroom with a queen bed is large and comfortable. Our parents loved the two rocking chairs, and we enjoyed the comfy couch and chair. Even though we didn't have the greatest weather during our stay, we were able to get out on a kayak and enjoy the lake. The house is nestled in a very quiet cove on the lake and, because there is no public access to the lake, the entire lake is a fantastic find! This will be an annual stay for us now!

This was the first time we’ve ever rented a yurt. We would definitely go back to see Shari. She did not miss a beat. It was everything that we needed right there. Even bathrobes. I highly recommend going to stay here. We will definitely be back. If I could give 100 stars I would.

What a beautiful spot for a lovely weekend with friends. We enjoyed the contrast of exploring Portland, with the 15 min. escape back to this peaceful and beautiful home. This spot has everything you need, is comfortable for a group, and allows you to soak up the natural surroundings and space without being too much of a car ride away from the amazing city that is Portland. Would definitely stay again or even move in if I could :)

I can’t say enough about what a nicely appointed home in a beautiful setting this is. I came for peace and tranquility and it did not disappoint. I haven’t had such good sleep in over 2 years. Highly recommend and plan to return next year! Thank you all so much for sharing your lovely home.
