Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Corton

I stayed here for 2 nights with my elderly Mum, which we both really enjoyed - the house could comfortably hold up to 5 guests. A great combination of modern comforts and original features, with everything you could need for your stay. We used it as a base to visit Southwold & Dunwich (about 25 mins away), taking in Aldeburgh en route. The garden was a lovely, peaceful spot to relax in in the early evening sun when we returned. Beccles is also a nice small town with a picturesque river. We didn’t go out in the evenings, but there were a few pubs and restaurants within walking distance. Christine was very communicative and responsive, even checking what type of milk and bread we would prefer and checking in with us after a huge storm - a great host. Thank you!

What can I say that hasn’t already been said in previous reviews. Marian was a fabulous host and also Michelle, who oversees the running of Old Chapel House. We arrived to find the table in the kitchen all set out for dinner. Great fun was had in the evening playing croquet in the fabulous garden and then games around the kitchen table. Fresh flowers in each of the rooms was a lovely touch. Knowing one of my sons was home for our family wedding at Waxham Barn, Marian had arranged an Australian pineapple cake for us to enjoy, together with locally sourced marmalade and apple juice. It was also helpful to find plenty of items such as tea, coffee, condiments etc. My one request to my family was for a slice of sourdough bread, delivered on the Saturday morning, be left for me after having my hair and makeup done. Sadly, it had all been demolished! The house clearly was a previously well loved family home. We had a fantastic stay and will most definitely be returning.

This is one of the best decorated places I've stayed in in 12 or so years using AirBnb. A really nice place to be, comfortable, homely with everything I needed for the stay. Kitchen had all the essentials and more, the addition of milk in the fridge and two delicious pain au chocolat were an added bonus. The shower is fantastic, the armchairs are very comfortable to sit in (something other accommodation frequently get wrong) and the bed was really comfortable. A great place to stay.

An excellent location as a base to visit coast and inland locations. A tight turn off the main road - so just be aware of cars speeding round the corner. Attention to detail was excellent from the hosts - fresh flowers, dog blankets and the largest welcome ‘pack’ we’ve encountered, including a number of homemade products - over and beyond expectation. Lovely base for a few days' break in Norwich. The house was cosy, clean and thoughtfully appointed (there was even an ice pack in the freezer for when I sprained my knee!). It's in a lovely quiet street and an easy, enjoyable 20 minute walk to the centre of town. Tesco Express and Co-op within +/- 5 mins walk, very convenient for everything I needed. Thanks a mil, would definitely stay again.

A beautiful country cottage in peaceful surroundings! There is plenty to do in the area, and Tim couldn’t be more helpful and welcoming.

We very much enjoyed our stay in Sheringham. The flat was extremely well located and was spacious and comfortable. Such a bonus to have outside space too. Will definitely return.

My wife and I had wanted to explore Norwich and the surrounding areas, so we booked a week in 15 Clarendon Road. Not only was it extremely well appointed and felt like 'home from home' from the outset, but all communication, both with the agent, Swift, and directly with the owner, Andrew, was pleasant, friendly and efficient. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly look to book Clarendon Road again when staying in Norwich.

Lovely place in a great location with beautiful surroundings. We were welcomed with freshly baked bread and homemade made jam. We've stayed at other Airbnbs but the amenities provided made this place stand above the rest.

Really beautiful flat, great location for exploring nearby restaurants and bars. There can be a little noise from diners outside Pizza Express, but I found if you put on the fan in the bedroom it drowns it out. Great communication from host, arranged for someone to meet us with the key and show us in. Parking space is a bonus in this central location and is in a secure garage. Recommended property and host.

Just got home after a wonderful weekend in Cromer, staying at "A Stone's Throw". The flat was perfectly located and felt very homely. Had everything we needed for exploring Cromer and beyond. I had no problems finding a nearby parking space a ytime we returned back to the flat. Ali was quick in communicating after booking and also quick in response to a couple of questions we had in the weeks leading up to our stay. We would definitely consider staying here again.

This was the best Airbnb I have stayed in. From the massive living room, with a hanging fireplace, limited edition prints, his&hers leather sofas, huge TV, wooden blinds filtering light through a wall of glass; the sunny balcony overlooking the pretty courtyard; the foodie's well-equipped and spacious granite&Smeg kitchen; the angular fully tiled bathroom; to the elegant bedroom with a high-end Tempur mattress, flint wall and rosewood furniture; everything was top quality and coolly designed with Nordic flair. Helene's recommendation of the Suffield Arms (creative modern tapas, good beer and wine) was excellent, as was Binham Dairy cafe. We also recommend Rocky Bottoms for crab and lobster, the Salthouse store for Dann's ice-cream, Cley-next-the-Sea Picnic Fayre store and Smokehouse, and Moon-gazer beer from many of the local pubs. Felbrigg garden, Blickling Hall, Holt's Sunday farmers market, and the ruins of Binham abbey were highlights for us. Thank you!

The apartment was so lovely, we had our 18 month old a with us and it was ideal. The only thing we struggled with was the heat and some noise from the road because it was 26 degrees and sunny most of the week so had to keep the windows open but that's no different to anywhere else and easily fixed with a fan from the shop down the road! It is a lovely clean and well stocked apartment and we would stay again and recommend to friends. Thanks so much! Stayed here with my partners family for the weekend, we had such a lovely time. We made good use of the pool table and the football table. It was very spacious with 7 of us and 2 little dogs. Would definitely recommend!

A lovely stay, in a lovely house. Perfectly situated for being right in the middle of town, which our boys loved as the weather wasn’t great this time.. so the amusements got a fair few visits. Lovely kitchen and great for the extended family we had come with us. Christian was so accommodating with us having a young son with diabetes and travelling with insulin. Lovely welcome pack too, which was much appreciated. Thank you !

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We were in Suffolk for a 3 day wedding as an extended family group and the house was the perfect base. The house is very comfortable- especially the beds - and everything has been thought of. It is also very very clean. The courtyard is beautiful. We would thoroughly recommend!

Our stay at this beautiful house made sure Christmas 2024 was wonderful! Three generations were so very comfortable, the house has everything you need and so much more! The grandson's adored the warm pool and the space the house provided. The adults loved the home from home feel, the top quality appliances in the kitchen used for Christmas lunch, the amazing facilities, the short walk round the corner to the lovely beach and the nearby pub where everyone was so welcoming! Couldn't have wished for a better stay.
