great place for a family getaway, there were 11 of us so the games room and hot tub were prefect. close enough to Barnard castle to go out for dinner, beautiful surroundings, what's not to like

Love this place, right by the beach, and a beautiful beach too. The host was so responsive and helpful from start to finish. The place was immaculately clean, just as described, lovely and warm with all the utensils and appliances working exactly as they should. Easy to walk to town, with a Co-Op and pubs and restaurants there. Shower pretty good too. Family bathroom and a small but useful en-suite to the main bedroom

We loved our stay at Darlington!! The host was so responsive, everything went smoothly. 10/10 the hot tub was a great touch for both adults and kids! Would absolutely stay again!!!

We had a lovely break. The position of the caravan overlooking the sea is one of the best on the site and it had everything we needed. We’d very happily go back for another stay.

Russell and Clare are great hosts who have created comfortable, well-appointed accommodation which is warm and cosy in winter and I imagine light and airy in summer. The beds were lush. The shower is great - powerful and consistent temperature. Eppleby is peaceful with walks from the cottage, a local shop & tea room - very friendly - and pub. It's a great location for exploring Richmondshire and Co. Durham. We had a relaxing short break at The Old Milk House and hope to return.

We had not been to the area before but were delighted with the accommodation and with Cullercoats. The cottage was stylish and luxurious, ticking all the boxes for a really comfortable bed, great shower, well-equipped, excellent kitchen and everything you needed for a short stay or a longer one. The upstairs ensuite bedroom had a lovely sea view and was really peaceful. The downstairs double room and separate bathroom were practical as we had family visiting. The neighbourhood was quiet and friendly and the location was superb - the cottage was minutes from the beach, a small supermarket and the Metro. You could walk from the door into Whitley Bay or Tynemouth. The beach was excellent and we swam in the sea. The coastal pathway between Whitley Bay and North Shields with its separate cycle lanes will be a wonderful asset and parts of it are already completed. We settled in really well and very quickly and were a bit sad to leave. Thank you to Vikki.

Beautiful house with fantastic views and garden. Jaynor was fantastic at communicating and really helpful. The beds were quite quite creaky is the only thing I’d change!

Stephanie's cottage is in the most beautiful location. The sat nav given in the instructions takes you right to the gate. We went over New Year, and the cottage is beautifully warm, comfortable, completely equipped with everything you need and spacious. If a uniquely beautiful location, remote and quiet, is what you are looking for on holiday, there cannot be many places that are better situated. The farmer, Donna, was available if we had any questions, and was incredibly friendly and helpful. The scenery is as beautiful as anywhere in the world - this cannot be overstated.

Great location. A really cosy country retreat. Very well appointed kitchen...equipped for real cooking! Very responsive hosts before & during our stay. Lots of helpful pre-visit information supplied, especially good places to eat like the Fish Shack at Amble & The Angler's Arms in Weldon - both dog and dog owner friendly!

Alice's place is a lovely bright and clean place in a small village so perfect for a quiet weekend. It's easy to get into Newcastle and other key areas locally like Hadrian's Wall. We attended a gig at St. James' Park on the Saturday and getting to and from the accommodation was so easy and because we weren't in the centre it was an easy night's sleep! The home is well decorated and has great amenities and there is a short walk to a local greengrocer and coffee shop cafe - in the nice weather it was perfect! Alice is also very helpful and responsive - would recommend and would love to stay again!

Stayed for 3 nights with my 3 year old and we absolutely loved this stay! The place is so cosy, beautifully decorated and filled with extras to make the stay lovely. I loved the additions of the welcome tray and lovely shampoo and conditioner! Also the yoga mat! I know the area pretty well but the house is walking distance to the pubs, shops, cafe and train station. Play park for little people and gorgeous walks nearby. It’s centrally located for a peaceful retreat with the accessibility to visit Newcastle and beyond. Bed is super comfy and my little girl was thrilled at having a bath in the bedroom! Steph was attentive and friendly and in my opinion was an exceptional host. I’ll be looking to come back again next year, thanks for having us .

What a wonderfull place to stay! From the little personal touches when you arrive, to the excellent communication and instructions, Anne's hospitality is just fabulous warm northumberland welcome personified. Sitting in the orangery watching the colours change on the fells is magical. We booked our stay for a 30th birthday weekend with family, the house is stunning and has everything you need and more. Perfect for a celebration. The stay was perfect from start to finish, the only downside we would say was the 10am check out, which we feel is a bit too early especially when check in isn’t until 4pm - When asked for a later check out there was a charge even though there was nobody else due to stay that day. Despite this, we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and would recommend Kimberley and her lovely home. Thank you for having us.

This is a gem of a place at a reasonable price. Lovely part of the UK - historic, fantastic grounds and comfortable accommodation. Very friendly hosts who willingly showed us around the walled garden and greenhouse. So peaceful- birdsong, a lake, well supplied accommodation. Everyone loved it! Thank you so much Eliza and Willy.

The house has the wow factor. Clean, tidy and you have the use of a hot tub or an amazing bath after a long walk. I would recommend taking a bath robe and flip flops for the spa/hot tub area. Everything you need is in the kitchen. The fireplace is stocked up with wood and heats the whole house and it feels so cosy. The homemade lemon drizzle cake was a treat to take with us on our walks. Dog friendly and a basket of treats for our pup and considering it’s dog friendly the house is kept immaculate. The area is perfect for those that enjoy peace and nature and amazing views. So many walks straight from your doorstep. There is a small post office in the village and Alston town not far away for bigger shops and fuel station. Lovely neighbours with a wealth of knowledge of the area. My husband and I along with our dog had an amazing stay and would definitely go back.

We had a lovely stay at Jubilee Cottage. Very much enjoyed the central location near Hexham and the XL hot tub was a real treat!!

Beautiful cottage, games area was great, really enjoyed ourselves. Hot tub was lovely and the garden area at back was secluded and well maintained. Loved the outdoor shower , great before getting in hot tub but also useful for hosing down a muddy dog. All in all the cottage felt really homely and a little bit of luxury. Emily seems to be a lovely host and always responded quickly to any queries. Will recommend her to friends and family and would certainly consider coming back.

Beautiful homes with 10/10 amenities and super clean! But also very cosy. We loved our stay, exploring all Northumberland has to offer, and having a fabulous base to return to. We can’t wait to come back.

Beautiful, spotless barn with every welcoming touch you could ask for and gorgeous furnishings. Very cosy and the views were breathtaking with stunning walks right on the doorstep. So much heritage and nature nearby, weve had an amazing holiday. Highly recommend !!
