May’s Cottage is a 1920s Californian Bungalow in excellent condition. Apart from the new kitchen and bathroom, it retains most of its original character and layout. Even the old inoperable kitchen stove has been retained for its character. Most of the timber furniture has been hand-made from salvaged hardwood. Our rustic 1903 mud-brick studio is made from river sand and mud sourced from the local Great Western area. The studio was built as a fruit kitchen by the Patching family who owned and operated a number of orchards along Concongella Creek and Salt Creek. The fruit kitchen has been recently renovated into a 1-bed studio which offers history and modern comforts. The cottage is surround by farm land meaning there is an abundance of animals to watch and enjoy, including Kangaroos.
