Country Hill View Loft

AnnaRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We had a lovely stay at Nelida's place. She was a lovely host. The room and bathroom were very clean. And because of all the windows the room cools down quickly at night. Sometimes the noise from the main road was a bit disturbing at night. The city center, the maya ruins at cahal pech and the iguana conservatory are in walking distance. But coming back from the center you have to climb a steep hill. A supermarket and some cheap food options a close by. Nelida has three dogs but they are very friendly.
A charming cabin is surrounded by lush greenery and tall palm trees, set against a bright blue sky. A well-maintained pathway leads to the entrance, which is framed by various plants and bushes, creating a serene natural setting.

Great place with friendly hosts. Loved the trails and wildlife around the pond. I would stay here again if I came back to this beautiful country.

Yuma’s 1- Riverfront Lodge, Luxe & nature

KelliRating, 5 stars1 month ago
A lovely spot close to town but tucked away in a beautiful, peaceful area. Loved waking up every morning and reading on the porch overlooking the river (note: rooms 1&2 have river views) and listening to the birds. The AC unit worked well and the bedding was like a 5 star hotel. Host was helpful with local recommendations, taxi drivers, etc. We had a rental car and enjoyed being a key to come and go freely. Pool was nice, never crowded. Would stay here again.

Blissful Jungle Cabana, Near San Ignacio

IngeRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Our little cabin had everything we wanted, good mattresses, nice outdoor shower, air conditioning (a big plus!), a screened in porch, hammock. A very peaceful place, where we woke up to the sound of birds (and a band of howler monkeys one night). Kate is super friendly and gave us lots of recommendations and information. We had breakfast and dinner a few times and the food was excellent. Bullet Tree Falls has grocery shops, good bakery, restaurants (or maybe just the one we went to right above the river, which was very good) and a beautiful river. We were really glad that we drove the extra 4 km from San Ignacio to stay there.

Dormitory on huge jungle property with Maya site

AntonRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Everything about this place makes you feel right at home. The peaceful green environment, the spacious set-up of the compound with diverse facilities, and above all the warm welcome by Maddy & co (I highly recommend her breakfast!). She is running the place with great passion for the country and its nature, history and tradition - and they even provide free access to their very own Maya temple ruins on-site, complete with an audio tour and other amazing jungle trails. Will definitely come back when I get the chance for a longer stay!
An outdoor pool deck is visible, surrounded by lush greenery and trees. The deck features a mix of wood and concrete flooring, providing space for relaxation. The sky is clear, allowing natural light to illuminate the area, creating a serene atmosphere.

Jenny’s Villa

The photos do not do it justice! It is surrounded by the jungle, and you will need a car, but you should have one in this area anyway. The place is immaculate, Sonia was fantastic, every need was met. The pool is perfect for a dip after a hot day of adventures. We hope to return here again and again.

Gigantic lovely room and home awaits you!

BradRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Maria and Arturo were fantastic hosts! Some of the kindest people ever. Arturo even woke up and made us a super early breakfast at 5:30am before an early tour! Private room was spacious. Good bed. I was a lone to do a little bit of laundry. Everything was as expected. They went above and beyond. True Airbnb style where you get to know and communicate with your host! The house is right next to the road and since there is no AC, the windows stay open for air flow. So there is for sure some road noise at night. It did not bother us though, as the fan in the bedroom is loud and drains out most of the noise.
