We had the most wonderful experience! Incredibly peaceful island that feels wild and remote despite being in the middle of the Seine just 45 minutes by commuter rail from Paris--and despite having bakeries and an amazing Italian restaurant a short walk away. The chalet is beautiful, private, with two outdoor terraces, and surrounded by tall flowering shrubs. Everything is clean, modern, and comfortable. Best of all, the river is right at the end of the property (a 1-minute walk from the chalet). We loved sitting, chatting, and wildlife watching while sitting in the chairs on the pier. There is even a two-person kayak available that made for a really fun and relaxing adventure. We would gladly return!

Laurent's house is located not far from the ruins of an 11th century castle being renovated. The house and its gardens are unveiled through a beautiful green courtyard. Every detail of the decor is designed to make you dream. The living space is beautiful. We were able to enjoy just about everything the house and garden had to offer, and there is plenty to do. The kitchen is amazing, we liked the rustic look, the large table and the huge oven (among other things)! The rooms have their own universes. Some beds are super comfy with ultra-soft duvets. The different spaces and nooks outside delighted us, we were able to enjoy all the amenities and the beautiful garden with the diversity of species and plants. Outdoor furniture is great for a large group. It was in this romantic atmosphere that we were able to enjoy evenings in the garden by the light of garlands. We are delighted, thank you Laurent.

Exceptional stay! Marie's house is simply splendid. Every detail is tastefully thought out, the comfort is worthy of an upscale hotel, and the environment is incredibly peaceful. Perfect bedding, impeccable cleanliness, complete amenities; nothing is missing. Special mention for the warm welcome and smooth communication with Marie. This is exactly the kind of place we'd like to keep secret… but that deserves to be discovered. A rare gem on Airbnb. We'll be back without a second thought!
