We truly enjoyed our stay and the amenities provided. We were able to ride our bicycles on the New River Trail in Galax. This was our second stay at Brian’s place and he excels in providing excellent amenities. The facilities were exceptionally clean and everything we needed was provided.

Special VT graduation weekend made even more special with our stay at Walnut Hill Lodge. The house was immaculate and well equipped for a family retreat. The mountain views out the windows and from all the surrounding decks were spectacular. We watched the farm dogs herd sheep from one pasture to another, and appreciated the beauty of the surrounding working farm. Michelle was a great host with wonderful recommendations for the local market and waterfall hike. Thanks for a memorable stay at your property.

Such a beautiful and peaceful location. It was so easy to get to, the roads were well maintained and the house was spotless. I really appreciated the extra effort like coffee left with creamer and sugar and a little snack basket with individually wrapped pretzels and cookies. I can’t recommend this place enough as it was perfect for my husband, self, and our toddler. Will definitely be returning if in that direction again :)

Lake House at Hoover Mountain

This place is exactly as pictured, and super clean which is very important to me. Plenty of linens, towels, etc. The New River Trail is literally just across the road from the house and we enjoyed biking every day as well as long walks with our two pups. When we weren't out we lived on the back screened-in porch (with ceiling fans) where we enjoyed the quiet reading or watching people on boats fishing and a few jet skiers. Highly recommend the Merc Cafe in Draper for meals, and the Conery for ice cream. This is the only real restaurant close by, but it is very good. We also grilled out or cooked a couple of times.

Molly went over and beyond for us from the moment we booked our stay. was always very nice very responsive and very gracious. she went over and beyond for us as we had personal issues going on. I can't imagine there being a better host! the home is beautiful and beautifully decorated and so clean and inviting, very comfortable.. nestled in the hills surrounded by trees.. absolute beautiful and Serene place to stay! I would recommend the Sugarloaf Inn to anyone! looking forward to going back!
