Lochside cottage, stunning views

ChristopherRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Lovely cottage in a fabulous location with unspoilt views over Loch Fyne. The only negative point was the noise from the plot of land next to the cottage where a new house is currently under construction. I’m sure once the building is completed the cottage will be extremely peaceful and we won’t hesitate to return . Very responsive and helpful host

Ground floor flat, Crinan Canal

HeatherRating, 5 stars1 day ago
Highly recommend! The pictures do not do this stay justice. The whole place was spotless. Very comfortable stay. Peaceful location. There was an amazing selection of tea and coffee for us on arrival, along with some sweet treats. Lots of books and DVDs on the shelf, as well as access to Netflix and all other streaming platforms available on tv too. Very spacious bathroom, living room and bedroom. Great communication from host throughout. Our only regret was that we didn’t book a longer stay!

Quiet rural cottage on the beautiful west of Bute

StephenRating, 5 stars3 months ago
This cottage is fantastic. Everything here has been thought of. If you were inclined you could literally prepare any main meal here. The location was perfect for us looking for a simple, peaceful base to explore Bute from. The host has placed in the cottage. plentiful maps, walks and references for things to do on the Island. Ettrick bay is a tranquil retreat with amazing scenery in every direction. It has good walks locally and an hourly bus back into Rothesay. If you wish you can walk the old Tram path back to Port Banantyne (about 90 mins). I have to say we were extremely fortunate with the weather (17-21 March) and it was wonderful at the end of the day to sit on the patio with a glass of wine staring out to sea and the Island of Arran. Simply Stunning.

Spacious lodge with king sized bed

RuneRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
On arrival, the weather was coming in, but as soon as we were inside that just made the place feel cozy, it's well insulated against cold and drafts (and midges). And entering through the conservatory gives an upgraded porch to get yourself and your belongings sheltered under while you are fiddling to get in. Both kitchen and bathroom are really nicely specced, and we found the whole place to easily have everything we needed for holiday relaxing - including a very comfortable bed. The place is quite isolated, so unless your main plans for activity is walking - there is a nice round trip walk down to Furnace - or similar outdoor activities - or none at all - be aware that anything else requires a drive. That being said, nearby Inveraray was one of the most picturesque small towns we saw on our trip, with several good places to eat.

Cosy 1 bed Flat stunning sea view -Port Bannatyne

Pamela HelenRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
The cosy flat is everything you could have expected, and has an ideal location with a stunningly breathtaking seafront view. Parking right outside the front door with no issues. The welcome book Sheena has includes all the local information (from instructions on how to use the sofa bed and thermostat, restaurants, to fun facts about the island. Clearly, Sheena has went out of her way and thought of everything that her guests would benefit from knowing during their stay. Thanks again.

An Airigh, overlooking Loch Fyne

VanessaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We've just returned from a fantastic week staying at An Airigh, a very cosy, warm and comfortable eco friendly house and wow...what an amazing house to stay in! The house is in a perfect, peaceful location with stunning views over Loch Fyne, and within easy reach (by car) of the Arrochar Alps for some great hikes in the mountains and hills. Everything inside the house has been well thought about from the decoration to the beds, bedding, showers, furniture and even the books and maps available to read and use. The well equipped kitchen provided everything we needed and more! No corners have been cut. Amanda was responsive and friendly in her communication. I would thoroughly recommend An Airigh and wished we could have stayed longer.

Seal Cabin - A wee piece of Scottish Luxury

JaneRating, 5 stars2 days ago
The most wonderful cabin with such a majestic view of Loch Goil, absolutely breathtaking. We felt instantly relaxed the moment we arrived. Iain was a wonderful host, warm and helpful, and gave us some fantastic recommendations for special dinners at Wild Kabn and Inver, both unforgettable experiences. We walked every day, soaking in the scenery, and were lucky enough to spot seals swimming right in front of the cabin! The space is peaceful, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully equipped, from the cosy blankets to the picture-perfect window views. Morning coffee overlooking the water felt like a scene from a film. A magical stay we won’t forget.
