Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Chenac-Saint-Seurin-d'Uzet

This is a beautiful place to stay on the banks of the Charente which we enjoyed from the canoe but just loved seeing it flowing along edging the grounds. We came on the train which is a very easy journey from Paris to Jarnac. It is then less than an hours walk along the cycle path or quicker along the very quiet road. The market in Jarnac is excellent and there’s some nice cafes and bars. In Bourg Charente itself the bar tabac sells morning baguette and croissants, especially good to put an order in the day before. Also in the village La Ribaudiere restaurant was absolutely amazing and an experience not to be missed. So this is a great place to stay if you are car free like us but bicycles really help too especially with direct access to the 400 km path La Flow Velo. Lots of fun! Thanks to Andrea and Dominic.

We stayed at Thierry's for a week in May. Thierry responded very kindly and uncomplicated to the fact that our arrival was delayed more and more. He welcomed us very nicely and gave us many tips. You can see from the house that Thierry is a flea market fan, we thought that gives the house character, it is really unique. It is quiet, a lot of nature around, the frogs croak their concert, at night the nightingales sing. The large, slightly overgrown garden (we like it) was fenced in so that our dog could go in and out of the house as he pleased. The area is pleasantly not overcrowded with tourists, yet there were opportunities to do something. Small tip: do not stay in the caravan if you are taller than about 180 cm (we are a little smaller, so it worked well). Thank you Thierry, we hope to come back!

Great place with a lot of interesting features like the lighting. Very nice bathrooms and showers with plenty of towels. Very clean and comfortable place. The drier does not function very well, but overall great place to stay.

Equipment for a weekend with the family. Perfect. The pool, billiards, etc. great for entertaining everyone

Françoise is a welcoming, job ale and polite host. She took the time to wait for us in front of the rental in a parking space to leave it to us on arrival to facilitate our check-in. We recommend 200% reservations with Françoise, she has several apartments in a very appreciable Victorian style by the sea. Finally, despite the lack of air conditioning, we did not feel the heat despite the 39 degrees some days. Thank you Françoise, looking forward to coming back.

Very nice rental that perfectly matches the Airbnb listing. Thierry is very friendly and very responsive. The city of Saujon is very cute with pleasant walks along the Seudre.

We had a great time at this rental, very well located in Royan: beaches, shops and city center within 15 minutes' walk, so we didn't use our vehicle during our stay. The rental was IMPECCABLE, very comfortable bedding, the interior whose decoration was very cozy and pleasantly decorated, was also impeccable and well-equipped, we did not lack anything. Very comfortable house, located in a quiet neighborhood and very tastefully decorated. When the weather is nice, it is really enjoyable on the terraces. We were very warmly welcomed by Nathalie. We received very clear information about the area (sights, cycling routes,...). We are very enthusiastic, both about the house and about the hostess.

Beautiful house, very good bedding and very well maintained / easy to use (ground floor). The fenced and secure park (with playground) for children - ideal! Living room with wood stove, very pleasant in the evening and cocooning - a haven of peace. Very responsive host on the platform, beach recommendations and easy communication. In short, a great place.

Very good stay at Jean-Luc's place, good location in the village, we did everything on foot. The garden is lovely. Perfect accommodation for enjoying the sea in peace with family or friends!

We had a wonderful time with the family. The house is large, tastefully decorated, well-equipped with a large outdoor terrace and a very nice swimming pool. You can do everything on foot, from the beach, to shops and restaurants. We spent 5 very intense days there. Thank you Danielle. 😘

stayed at the villa for 6 nights on a family holiday, it was the first time we'd attempted it as an extended family and the villa was perfect for us, the kids loved the pool, there was plenty of space for everyone (with enough bathrooms not to argue over) and 2 great areas to all sit together to eat dinner in the evening. Our hosts were lovely and helped us out when we got a bit lost finding the villa on arrival and were extremely responsive to any issues/queries while there, they even sent through restaurant recommendations for a birthday, would really recommend the villa, thanks
