Vacation rentals with lake access in Chatuge Lake

Jennifer’s place was clean and beautiful. Our two families really enjoyed the kids club upstairs, the open living room, dining on the screened porch, and the boat dock. If we can, we will book this house again.

To start, Leah was extremely responsive and friendly both leading up to and during our stay. The house itself was amazing. Aside from being clean and well kept, the views and water access made our whole trip. Cannot recommend enough

Ruth was a wonderful host and communicated well. Her lake house was beautiful even though it rained the whole weekend but we definitely enjoyed our stay. Definitely recommend her house.

The house was exactly as advertised. Incredibly clean and well stocked. Easy to get in and even smelled great. The kitchen was equipped with EVERY utensil we possibly needed. We were only able to use the paddle boards on our last day due to weather but they were great when we did. Also enjoyed a campfire and saw a million stars on clear nights. Overall we loved the place and felt right at home.

The home was exactly as described and the hosts were extremely responsive. The dock was our favorite part - it had a great view and was super comfortable. Also, the basement with foosball and ping pong was a great place to hang out. We will be back again soon!

The sunsets from the porch are gorgeous. It is not only impressive that this home was built in just the perfect spot to catch an amazing sunset, but also nestled in the middle of Fontana Lake with a great view of the lake. I can’t say enough about this location! I’ve grown up coming to the Carolina’s and never knew about Fontana Lake. This cabin feels incredibly secluded and luxurious, but close enough to all the best adventure spots—Nantahala, Deep Creek, Smoky National Park, Fontana Lake access points, Appalachian Trail—you name it. There is even a great trailhead walking distance from the cabin that has great views of the lake, creeks, and challenging and diverse enough to walk 2-3x. We saw deer and wild turkey almost everyday and the wildflowers were in bloom all over. Additionally, the master bedroom has an amazing view from the bed. When I opened my eyes each morning, I had a view of the smokies that was mesmerizing. We all want to rent this cabin again!

This was the perfect place for us and our dogs to stay while visiting family :) 10/10 recommend :)

We stayed here for Thanksgiving, and it was pretty cold, but well worth it. Being on the lake, makes me want to come back, with the boat, in the summer, to fully enjoy it. Great place, and will hopefully be back.

It was absolutely one of the two most peaceful places I have ever been to. I wasn't ready to leave, and I will go back just as soon as possible. The place was clean and welcoming. We had everything we needed and Gary & Sheryl were awesome!!! If you want a quiet get away, I highly recommend "On the River"!!!

Adorable efficiency suite . Great view of the lake and suitable areas to walk our dog. Very clean and quiet. Was an easy drive into Hiawassee.

The resort is lovely! It’s a nice get away. Just keep in mind cell service is limited in this area! It’s beautiful. 😍

Terri was a wonderful host. She gave us hiking and restaurant ideas and was accommodating to our 1 year old who can be a handful. I highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Big Canoe.

This place was perfect! Super comfy, especially the bed and super soft sheets! Loved the screened in porch view, being elevated, looking down at the lake, felt so naturesque and private!

What a beautiful and peaceful location on Lake Chatuge! The view is stunning and the place is so clean and comfortable. The bedroom is very spacious and the king size bed was so comfortable. Plenty of pillows and extra blankets too. We didn’t use the kitchenette but it is updated nicely. It’s a great little place to stay and visit the area!

Our second stay at Debi's beautiful b&b was great! We're grateful for her and her space, sharing the nature and peace with us. Can't wait to return for a third time :)

Margarita's place had everything we needed, and were looking for for an impromptu weekend getaway. It was close to the Jackrabbit trails, which we enjoyed with friends, and the lake. Plus, we enjoyed a bonus sunset drink, with some great food truck bbq, on the new dock bar! We would definitely stay again.

We spent Easter weekend here. As we drove in the wild azaleas and dogwoods were blooming, and everything afterwards was just as beautiful and peaceful. My teenagers loved kayaking and my daughter liked the pond so well she slept on the daybed on the porch. I appreciated the feather pillows and reverse osmosis water. Attention has been paid to every detail. I called my Nana to show her the antique desks. My small children enjoyed the toys and my middle son using the pully bucket on the porch. My daughter celebrated a birthday over our stay, more movie guests showed up than expected and I just couldn't turn these kids away. Our hosts were so kind. They of course charged a little extra as was clearly understood via the contract, they were very understanding and polite. The lock to the boat seems to be jamed, the downstairs fireplace is currently non operational, and I'm not sure I'll get back a thumb drive I forgot, but this family has worked hard to create really special place. We loved our stay at Terry's place in the beautiful mountains of western NC! His place is super comfortable, bright, and convenient to everything. Terry was very responsive and a pleasure to deal with. We would definitely stay again!

My family rents a lake house every year and we all agreed this was our favorite one! The location was perfect- on a quiet part of the lake with a view of the mountains. The indoor and outdoor spaces were built for enjoying the lake and had everything we needed for a perfect lake getaway. Would definitely recommend and we can’t wait to go back!

This was one of the most magical places we have ever stayed. I can’t speak highly enough about this cottage and its surroundings. It was luxurious, spotless, and had everything we needed for a peaceful getaway. Close to town with great shops and restaurants, but also very private and serene. One of the best trips we have taken in a very long time. I can’t recommend this beautiful home enough.

This cozy, beautiful spot is a treasure! Kim was very attentive to details in creating a space that is welcoming and feels like home. The kitchen was well equipped, decor blends modern and mountain cottage. Plenty to entertain at the house or nearby. The description helped us know how to best plan our visit to the area and there were great tips and maps at the house too. Beautiful scenery and a great place to enjoy birds, fall foliage, hiking and much more. So thankful for a great getaway!

We just spent a few days here and didn’t want to leave. It’s incredibly quiet and completely private -- pure nature and total peace. We brought our two dogs and they had the best time exploring and hanging out by the lake. It felt safe, relaxing, and just really comfortable. The cottage was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed. Judith was so kind—she checked in by text to make sure we had everything, which we really appreciated. If you’re looking for a peaceful place to disconnect and recharge, this is it. We’re already planning to come back.
