Cottage vacation rentals in Cephalonia

Lovely peaceful airbnb, very close to a small beach, and a 10mn walk into the town. Perfect for families. The house itself was very clean, and the beds very comfy. Communication with the host was very clear, we had an issue setting up the baby bed and the host came to help. The only downsides were that they had already turned off the jaccuzi (we booked for end of september and on the listing it says the jacuzzi is open that month), and there was not as many child amenities as listed. Better to check with the host when booking related to the above points.

Andreas Haus liegt mitten im Dorf und trotzdem ganz alleine und ruhig mit wunderschönem Blick über die ganze Landschaft. Der Pool und die Terrassen rund ums Haus sind genial, wir konnten im Januar vor dem Haus draussen frühstücken! In jedem Zimmer gibt es eine Klimaanlage, die auch heizen kann und einen schönen offenen Kamin. Wir hatten ein wunderbares Willkommenspaket mit Wein, eigenem Öl und einem ganzen Frühstückspaket! Vielen Dank für die vielen Tips und dass wir mit unseren vier Hunden kommen durften, die Spass in dem grossen umzäunten Garten hatten.

We had a great stay on Maria’s property. The view and surroundings are beautiful and we loved walking outside to see the water. It was a very secluded and private area, which we liked, however the road to the house was pretty rough and bumpy. You get used to it after a few days, but be ready for a lot of dust and dirt on the car! Maria was very responsive and helpful with any question or concern we had. Overall, we had a wonderful experience!

Absolutely amazing stay at Villa Blue! My family spent 2 fantastic weeks at this beautiful property & it exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning panoramic view across the pool & the most amazing place to enjoy the beautiful sunrise & sunsets The villa itself was immaculate & thoughtfully equipped with everything we could possibly need from kitchen essentials to pool towels, wifi & BBQ. The layout was spacious & comfortable, plus friendly cleaner every few days We all enjoyed the great pool Our hosts were fantastic, incredibly responsive & attentive, always just a message away & helped with local recommendations. Their hospitality was spot on. Meeting us on arrival to direct us to the villa was very helpful. We couldn't have asked for a better villa or base to explore Kefalonia. If you’re looking for a perfect getaway with incredible views I would highly recommend Villa Blue. We can’t wait to come back! Thank you Efi & Makis

Ο χώρος ήταν πάρα πολύ άνετος. Ακριβώς όπως το βλέπεις στις φωτογραφίες πανέμορφη θέα είχαμε πάρει και το σκύλο μας μαζί και δεν είχαμε κάνενα πρόβλημα το συστήνω ανεπιφύλακτα!

Greg’s place is a dream airbnb. Although I have been increasingly disappointed with Airbnb as host become more and more corporate, Greg’s place is a beautiful home built by his great great grandfather (you can see his signature on a stone near the entrance). It has been in the family since. It has functions as a home and a refuge. It is Amazon g to get to participate in the history of such a special place.

Ionnas parents Fotini and Iannis were so friendly and helpful, I've never found such kind hosts. Fotini plied us with lovely home made honey, fruits, eggs and very kindly gave me seeds to grow on next spring.. the cottage is absolutely lovely, quiet and the space is well proportioned. Visitors need to be aware it's a 10 minute drive to nearest village with shops and a few stairs up from the car parking place.Ionna was equally helpful messaging promptly about any help required, as she does not live on site. a perfect place to stay for the week.

La maison de Dionysis est très bien équipée, il y a une vue magnifique et Bia la maman de Dionysis nous a beaucoup gâté nous avons eu de très bons fruits, de l'huile d'olive, des confitures maison dont une excellente confiture de mandarines. Les petites chattes viennent vous dire bonjour. Avec une voiture de chez Dionysis on peut visiter toute l'île qui est vraiment magnifique.

We stayed almost a week in this nice and beautiful apartment in Svoronta. Even though the airport ist a 15 minute walk away, we never felt bothered by any kind of airport noise. The location of the House is close to the capital (Argostoli) and a good base to explore the island. The apartment itself ist clean and tidy. The hostess was extrordinary friendly and always happy to help. Her hospitality was remarkable. She told us about the sights worth seeing and where not to go. With her help we had a week full of special experiences. The Garden and perimiter of the aartment are well kept and extensive. The House comes with a friendly and happy dog and sweet and curious cats.

Perfect experience! Everything was as advertised, even more. First of all, communication with the host was timely, active and without delays. We managed to find the place with no issues at all. Arriving at the house was a breeze, and felt right like at home. AC was up to the task battling with extremely hot Greek summer (38oC !). Shower and all other amenities were perfect. We were also able to use the provided washing machine and this solved our troubles as we were arriving there from a previous stay which did not offer that. The place is very calm, just 6km from Sami town which is port connection from Patras and offers amazing options for local restaurants, cafes, supermarkets etc. The most important is that it is just in the middle of the island, providing the opportunity to easily approach any other location without the need to drive long distances. High recommendation for families, group of friends or even lonely stayers! Couldn't ask for something more.

A magical home in a wonderful location. My first trip to both this home and island. Will definitely be back. Also, Klara is an amazing artist with a phenomenal body of work. A must see.

Super maison, proche de l’aéroport, les extérieurs sont vraiment agréable et la plage est à 3 min à pied, les restaurants alentours sont très bons. L’hôte a été très flexible et réactif. Nous avons passé un excellent moment. Merci !

Idyllic location, so peaceful and quiet with stunning views of Afales Bay. Near the island spring well for fresh water and three gorgeous cows as neighbours. Loved lying in the hammock under the old olive tree and listening to the occasional goat bell. Heaven!

Nous avons passé une magnifique semaine avec nos 2 enfants chez Spiraggelos. Le cottage est idéalement situé à proximité immédiate (entre 5 et 10 min) d’Argostoli. Il est accessible facilement après un petit chemin très simple d’accès. Nous avons pu facilement et rapidement explorer le sur de l’île durant cette semaine chez Spiraggelos. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié le calme malgré la proximité d’argostoli. Le jardin est charmant et très accueillant, avec même une douche extérieure pour rincer les affaires de plage. La maison propose tous les équipements et le confort nécessaire pour une famille de 4. Enfin nous avons eu des petites douceurs à notre arrivée dont du raisin délicieux. Spiraggelos est un hôte chaleureux, réactif et très accueillant. Il a tout de suite proposé de nous orienter avec des conseils utiles. Si nous revenons dans la région, nous reviendrons dans le cottage !

Das Haus ist ein frisch saniertes traditionelles Berghaus. Wunderschöne Lage mit tollem Blick auf die Berge und Nachts die Sterne. Es ist ein kleines Dorf und deshalb angenehm ruhig. Die Cousine von Spiros hat uns herzlich empfangen und auch wieder verabschiedet. Zur Begrüßung gab es eine Flasche vom lokalhergestellten Wein. Wir haben die Insel mit einem Mietwagen erkundet und uns abends auf die schöne, mit Wein überdachte Terrasse, gefreut. Kefalonia ist wunderschön. Es ist schon touristisch, aber man kann noch einige Strände und Gegenden entdecken, wo kaum Touristen sind. Wir haben unsere Zeit dort sehr genossen. Wir bedanken uns für die Gastfreundschaft.

This is a great place to stay. Mixalis and Venetia are excellent hosts - very thoughtful but also unobtrusive. They live in the ground floor flat (the property for rent is the top 2 floors) so are nearby when / if you need any help. The view is fantastic - you have Mt Ainos looming behind and the blue sea in front. The 2 south-facing terraces are perfect for taking it all in. We found the place very quiet during our stay and slept very well in the comfortable beds! The position is very convenient. Vlachata has a number of supermarkets and restaurants (although as of April 2022, in the very early season, not all were yet open). You can also walk or drive down to the beaches at Lourdata and Kanali (the latter is quieter and really idyllic, Lourdata is great too and has a choice of restaurants and bars). All in all, highly recommend as a perfect base for enjoying and exploring Kefalonia. Efharisto Mixalis and Venetia!

Illias ha sido un anfitrión fantástico. Estuvo muy atento para hacer que nuestra estancia fuera cómoda y nos dio mucha flexibilidad para hacer el check out. El apartamento es muy bonito, perfectamente equipado y en una ubicación muy tranquila. Está a unos 5km de Lixouri, donde puedes encontrar todos los servicios necesarios. Además, la casa está a 100 metros de una playa con un pequeño restaurante muy acogedor. ¡Gracias por tu hospitalidad Illias!

Nous avons passé une magnifique semaine avec nos 2 enfants au Auntie Cottage. L'atmosphère est juste incroyable, on se sent comme à la maison. Le cottage est parfaitement équipé, rien ne manque. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la propreté du lieu, le confort de la maison (chambres, équipement cuisine, climatisation, 2 terrasses, douche extérieure...). La maison est plus grande que sur les photos, l'espace est super pour une famille. Sophia est une hôte géniale qui vous donne beaucoup d'informations pour bien visiter la région. Elle est également d'une grande gentillesse et flexibilité pour vous faciliter la vie pendant votre séjour. Une pépite qui rendra votre séjour sur l'île encore plus merveilleux !

wow what a beautiful home ! Niki and her lovely family made us feel so very welcome they were so warm and very friendly. We were overwhelmed when we opened the fridge to find so many delicious snacks, and drinks. The homemade trifles and homemade moussaka they kindly cooked for us was absolutely delicious ! We felt very much at home staying in their beautiful house. The living room was so comfortable and spacious. The kitchen area had everything you could possibly need. The beds were comfortable. The hoyse was very clean and comfortable. We loved everything about this traditional home. It was lovely to sit in the pretty, spacious garden for breakfast every morning. We cannot thank Nikki and her family enough for making us feel so welcome. We have booked many airbnbs over the years and I can honestly say we have never been made to feel so welcome as we have in Nikis home. It's been wonderful, thank you so much.

Ο χώρος της κυρίας Μαρίας ήταν ότι έπρεπε για τις διακοπές ενος ζευγαριού. Μικρός αλλά παρά πολύ εξοπλισμένος χώρος που σε έκανε να νιώθεις σαν βρίσκεσαι στο σπίτι σου. Πάρα πολύ καθαρό και προσεγμένο κατάλυμα με μεγάλη και όμορφη αυλή και ιδιωτικο πάρκινγκ , δεν μας έλειψε τίποτα σε μια πολύ καλή τοποθεσία μόλις 10 λεπτά απο το Αργοστόλι, όλα αυτά σε συνδιασμο με την άψογη φιλοξενία της κυρίας Μαρίας που φρόντισε να μην μας λείψει τίποτα και να μας ενημερώσει για της παραλίες, μαγαζιά, πανηγύρια - εκδηλώσεις του νησιού έκαναν τις διακοπές μας και την διαμονή μας ομορφότερες. ευχαριστούμε πολύ για όλα!! το συστήνουμε ανεπιφύλακτα!!
