Accessible 2-Story Villa in Quiet Kefalonia Village

"Katoi", the lower floor of the house, as it was called in the old days. in Eptanisos, the place in the house supplies, wine, oil, wheat etc., were usually stocked, but also the favorite place for children to play. Dark and cool, with a characteristic scent that increases your appetite, that special mystic atmosphere. This 2-story villa is built in a quite village of Kefalonia with a panoramic view of the Agia Kyriaki and Myrtos bays.The villa’s exclusivity aims to ensuring a comfortable and pleasant stay for all guests, having been designed to assure accessibility to people with mobility difficulties and/or reduced mobility approved and certified by TUV. The villa was constructed with absolute respect to the natural beauty of the landscape and incorporated to the environment. Stepping through the wooden door of the entrance, a comfortable ramp with the minimum slope (adjusted to the needs of people using wheelchair) leads to the pool level at the entrance of the house. The pool with the wooden sitting arrangement invites guests to enjoy the sea view and relax under the clear blue sky. From the first moment when approaching this beautiful house, it is apparent that it has been designed so that everyone is able to enjoy their vacation without barriers. From the main entrance to the comfy and bright sitting room, the large openings make you feel that the outside and the inside of the house merge into one! This last happens also to the two master bedrooms which are on the same level. The first large bedroom has two single beds and its own bathroom illuminated with light entering from the ceiling, which has been specifically designed, meeting all specifications, equipped to be accessible for people with reduced mobility. Rock is the main building material in the decoration of this superb and comfortable bedroom which also has a view to the pool and the sea. The second bedroom also has its own bathroom, a large double bed and a view to the pool and the yard. The romantic decor with earthy colors and materials creates a relaxation feeling to the visitor. An internal window lets the daylight inside the bathroom. In the living room, the corner-shaped couch can be used as an extra sleeping space for two people. At the same level, there is also a kitchenette, a washing machine and an elevator leading at the 2nd level of the house. An impressive staircase leads from the living room to the 2nd floor of the house. Reaching the 2nd level, there are two choices to enjoy the lovely view towards Myrtos Bay: either from the large porch with the pergola, the BBQ with the built seating or from inside the impressive dining room area. The monastery-style dining table in the middle of the room catches the visitor’s eye away from the magnificent sea view. At the same area, there is a large kitchen totally adapted to the needs of people of reduced mobility. A garden full of beautiful flowers next to the kitchen completes the setting. At this level there is an extra bathroom. The elevator, the covered parking space leading at the entrance level of the house as well as the design in total in addition to the villa's equipment, allows everyone to enjoy their vacation comfortably, without obstacles! With two independent bedrooms, extra sleeping space and the highest standards of comfort and hospitality, the house can accommodate up to 7 persons. ARRIVAL BOAT Departure from Patra. The trip lasts 3 hours. Arrival at port of Sami (25km away from Agkona). Departure from Kilini. The trip lasts 1.5 hour. Arrival at port of Poros (40km away from Agkona). Alternative arrival port of Argostoli (20 km from Agkona). The trip lasts 3 hours. AIRPLANE There are several flighs to Kefalonia from Eleftherios Venizellos airport everyday. Ask us for everything! Bathe on blue-flag beaches nearby, including several that have accessibility features. Visit ancient sites, such as the Mycenaean cemetery at Mazarakata, Skala Temple, and Fiskardo Roman Cemetery, then dine at a wide choice of nearby tavernas. Villa KATOI has two parcking Accessibility on the island. Beaches Beaches that officially have been declared as accessible by the municipality of Kefalonia are: Skala beach (mechanical ramp installed enabling stroller to enter into the water), Lourdas, Xi, Antisamos, Platis Gialos (wooden ramps available) as well as Myrtos beach where a special inflatable Chair is available that enables transfer in the water. Close to the taverna's (fresh fish & traditional food) Nearby village. Un-spoilt scenery, spectacular views, walking/biking tracks,on the door step. Tranquillity for a relaxing holiday. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (pets).

Stunning views from the property and plenty of peace and quiet. Location was perfect for us but would recommend anyone unfamiliar with the area do your research. But like I said perfect in every way for us

Brand new Villa Lefka with private pool at Platies

Villa set in Stunning setting. Very precarious drive to villa. When asked for specific directions and address I did not hear from the host until we arrived at the airport, which was , for me a little frustrating as I like to plan ahead. The host met us at a petrol station near the villa which was fine but I wanted to know this was the plan before hand. Villa was very clean, minimal furniture and barely enough cooking Utensils/cutlery Definitely need a car to access bars , restaurants and beaches. It was very peaceful but I did not know that the villa is infact attached to another , this is still being finished off BUT when it’s occupied it will not have the peace and tranquility you expect . Check before you book to see if you’ll have neighbours. Cleaner didn’t come until day 5 , not enough when you toilet bins need emptying. The pool said it was heated but definitely was not, very cold . Dont leave any doors open as you will be overrun with cats.

Staying at Casa Rosa was unique, a well-kept house and a large garden, terrace and swing. Everything is as described and photographed . The mattresses are very comfortable, we slept great. Maria is very helpful and nice. We arrived late at night, everything in the area was already closed, Maria brought us pizza. He is a caring host. We hope to return there. Thank you Maria 😁

An absolutely beautiful house. We stayed for two weeks while we were getting married in lixouri and it was the perfect place to relax with the kids. The property is spotless and the cleaning lady came every few days to change the bedding and clean she did an amazing job. The owners are great at keeping in touch to check everything is ok and are really fast at resolving any issues. The pool was great for the kids and was also cleaned regularly during our stay. The house is a short walk up the hill from lepeda beach and is the perfect base if you are staying on that side of the island. All five bedrooms are a great size and each has an en-suite. The outside sitting areas are fantastic and a great place to sit and watch the sun rise. The way the property is situated means that the pool Is in the sun all day which is perfect and also means the pool isn’t too cold. We will definitely stay again if we can and can highly recommend this beautiful house.

Marina's place is in an apartments block, well located at Lourdata. The flat we lived in was very clean, well equipped and with an amazing view. Marina was very kind and helped us in every aspects. When we arrived there was a little misunderstanding because we did not know the exact address and her phone did not work, but then we realized that the place where we had to do check-in was the restaurant just close to the flats block. We had a good time in the flat.

Its fantastic location allowed us to reach restaurants, beaches and other attractions within just 15 minutes by car. We were warmly welcomed and the hosts were very helpful. Check-in and check-out processes were seamless and we really enjoyed our stay in Kefalonia! :)

Argostoli`s Heard

Apartment in a great location to move around the island and the convenience of being able to be in the center in the evening close to all services such as bars, restaurants, tavernw, shop, supermarkets. Parking in the straada is always available. Kateryna was very helpful and welcoming. The house needs some improvements but overall it met all the needs of 2 families with children.

As soon as Revekka opened the door to the apartment I gasped at the beautiful view, & the loveliest welcome basket ever, with fruit, sweets, homemade treats inc. a delicious rose wine liquor. The apartment is compact and so perfectly and thoughtfulfully laid out to feel spacious. It is immaculate with a very comfy bed and lovely shower, but the standout feature is the breathtaking view from every angle, and watching sunrise & sunset. Breakfast delivery every morning was a special treat and felt like 5* hotel. Lorraine's homemade bread is delicious especially lightly toasted with honey. I can't speak highly enough of how warm friendly and helpful Revekka, Evangelia & Lorraine were, giving great advice. Nothing seemed too much trouble, they were genuinely happy to help us have the best holiday. The recommended taxi service, Olympic Transfers were fantastic too. The beach is very close as are good restaurants & bars, inc Lorraine's Magic Hill. Thea Suites is wonderful. I will return

It was simply perfect. Mina was incredibly nice and kind. She offers breakfast (vegan and vegetarian as well) and also generally food at the Nuovo Cafe, which is included in the Airbnb. (My partner is vegan.., and Mina made different kinds of foods for us). The service was amazing, and I highly recommend it. If you're staying in Kefalonia, Mina's apartment is the best option. There are plenty of shops nearby, and the beach is just 10 minutes away by car. I would definitely come again and stay at Mina's apartment. Thank you, Mina, it was one of the best places I've ever stayed.
