Phil's place was a dream - tucked away from the rest of the world! When you stand in the open doorway of this 1927 log cabin, you'll look out to see only trees around you and the sky above. Turn in and find the wonderfully warm log-burning stove, unique wood detailing in each room, and the charming handmade heart-shaped lock on the door! We loved our long-term stay here, and recommend several places nearby - the Vreeland store for baked goods and great coffee, the Weis center for hiking, dessert at the nearby Soulmate cafe, and Breakbites for delicious tacos! Phil was easy to communicate with, and went above and beyond for us during our stay. He is a great host, with a beautiful place that he has evidently put a great deal of time and care into making as comfortable as possible for guests wanting to stay somewhere out of time and off the beaten path.

Jody's house was a great choice for our family while attending West Point graduation. The location was convenient for the frequent trips back and forth to the academy, yet quiet and private for the times we were able to relax at the property. The house was well-stocked and comfortable. Outdoor space was like an oasis - our family enjoyed the hot tub and listening to the frogs playing in the koi pond. Communications with the owner were excellent - she was very responsive and accommodating. The property had a good mix of shared spaces and private rooms to accommodate our family. I would definitely recommend.

Excellent location, amenities, communication, and value. I needed to find a place last-minute for a wedding and Vere got the place ready for me the same day I requested it. Highly recommend.

The place was really lovely and had a spacious bathroom, comfortable bed and lots of beautiful nature to explore nearby. Would definitely recommend!
