Achill Atlantic House

RichardRating, 5 stars5 days ago
We (four of us) stayed for week in Kevin’s amazing house. The location is jaw-droppingly beautiful and the house is perfect and makes the most of the stellar views. It helps to have the beach literally at the end of the garden of course, and this all added to an idyllic week on Achill, even when the weather didn’t oblige. Kevin was fantastic at supplying local information and his passion for the place is apparent and infectious! This has to be one of the best properties I have ever stayed in on Airbnb. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Seaview Cottage beside the Western Greenway

UteRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a perfect time. You definitely need a car as the house is literally in the middle of nowhere. The house is very well equipped with everything you may need. All furniture is super solid and comfortable. We'd like to highlight the pillows and duvets. Both are of highest quality and made us happy each evening! On top there are electric blankets in each! If you're looking for a quite and comfortable place with a lot of things around to see and do, you found the perfect spot!

Hare Granary

KevinRating, 5 stars10 months ago
I loved Hare Granary for it's simplicity and coziness. The wood fired oven in the bedroom was my favorite thing in the house! It's situated a bit outside of Newport (you'll need a car or bike) and you'll reach almost everything in Co. Mayo within a 1.5 hour car drive. John is a lovely guy who responds fairly quick to questions and will get in touch when needed.

Everything was perfect. Very nice, fully equipped and exceptionally clean house with beautiful view. Fresh fruits, sweets, coffee, tea, even milk in the fridge(: We couldn't ask for more. Restaurant 100m away. Great Irish experience. We will definitely come back. Thank you Mary.
A serene lakeside scene is observed, featuring calm water reflecting the surrounding mountains. A stone jetty extends into the lake, while frost-kissed grass and shrubs line the shore, contributing to the natural beauty of the remote landscape.

Bell tent nestled in the wild (1)

ConorRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a great stay. Beautiful and peaceful surroundings. Our hosts were very responsive and helpful at all times. The tent was exactly as described, as were the shower and composting toilet, the stove in the tent is a great addition for the colder nights. Cooking a fresh pizza is so easy in it, we baked eggs in the mornings too and we always had hot water for washing up. Works are still underway with the shower to make it a little more private which will be a great plus as there are more tents on site and this will make guests more comfortable we feel. A small screen across the front of the toilet might help to make it feel more comfy! The area is incredible for discovering Mayo, the site is close to the Greenway, Achill island and Westport. The dark skies at night take your breath away as it is really close to Wild Nephin National Park. We hiked the Letterkeen Looped trail which is quite close, it is a good challenge with the most incredible views. We hope to see ye again soon!

Luxury staycation for all the family

ParaicRating, 5 stars10 months ago
We stayed in Mulranny for 10 nights. We had a mix of adults and young children. Laura’s house was the perfect place for us to base ourselves. It is located on a quiet road with lots of garden space which was ideal for young kids. The house itself is spacious with a really bright and spacious living area with room for us all to hang out in the evening. There is also a fine big playroom for the kids. The greenway and the local beach are within five minutes and Achill and Westport are less than 30 mins drive. Laura was very easy to deal with and we got excellent communication and advice on the house, restaurants and nearby attractions. I would highly recommend this house as a base for families or groups exploring the area.
