Cabin vacation rentals in Carmel-by-the-Sea

This was one of my best Airbnb experiences! The place was just like the pictures, private without feeling too isolated, and spotless. Shannon was an excellent host, very communicative and responsive, and even came to help us within 20 minutes when we managed to lock ourselves out. I also appreciated that there were no excessive cleaning requirements or checkout procedures, and everything came with clear instructions. I was told that a vehicle with a higher clearance would be good to have to get into the driveway, and I’d agree with this, but her instructions for getting to and from the place were really clear and easy to follow so no issues there. I’d definitely recommend this place for a nice peaceful getaway!

We had an absolutely amazing time staying at this cabin! It was exactly as described. The hosts were incredibly communicative, and we always felt well taken care of. The cabin itself is a peaceful dream! Having breakfast at the outdoor table while gazing at the redwood trees along the mountainside was unforgettable. The hot tub under the stars was top-notch, and we loved having access to the small private hiking trails on the property. A perfect getaway!

Our stay at Emkay’s was magical and peaceful. He truly thought of everything and added special touches that made us feel welcome and comfortable. We spent our first day enjoying the private creek and beach area, and each night we relaxed in the hot tub before bed. I highly recommend staying here and taking in the beauty that surrounds this wonderful place. We will definitely be back!

Hands down the best Airbnb we've visited. Very secluded and gorgeous property. The property is special and well-appointed. We loved the private beach. A great getaway from the hustle and bustle. Emkay was extremely friendly and helpful. They worked very hard to make this area a great stop on the journey. The unit was small and cozy, but it had everything we needed. We'll be back again.

Fantastic place with a stunning view of the beach, incredible interiors, and amazing taste. The front and back gardens are beautiful, the kitchen is super well-equipped, and the beds are absolutely perfect. I highly recommend it – Ann is super kind and responsive. Oh, and by the way, the two most beautiful palm trees in the neighborhood are right in this garden. Don’t hesitate – just come, it’s a no-brainer!

Had such a great time staying in the Jazmine cabin. It is quite small, but expected. There are so many things to explore and see within walking distance and food is a 5 to 10 minute drive into town (I fell in love with the small town of Soquel). Emkay and Lara were amazing hosts, it's a bonus they live on the property. Which by the way is so zen and beautiful. I can't say enough about the "beach" area, it is so peaceful. Emkay and his family were so lovely and made sure we had everything we needed. We took our 2 little dogs and they had a blast exploring the property. I will be back. Our family group of 10 had a wonderful stay here. The home itself is full of character and in a truly peaceful setting. The road leading to the home is quite narrow and requires careful driving (as stated in the listing) but the destination is worth it. We throughly enjoyed our time here and recommend it for larger families/ groups.

Great place to stay! The surroundings were beautiful and very close to beaches and hiking that I was not aware of previously.

Cozy cottage indeed. We enjoyed our stay at Saddle Mountain. Facility was nice and felt like an upscale camping experience. Hosts were kind and welcoming.

Booked this for my bachlorette party! Super relaxing, cozy, and the fun glamping vibe I was looking for!

My friends and I had our first out of town girls trip at the Lavender House. We had an absolutely amazing experience! Getting to the property was fairly easy, however, the turn off to the farm stay can easily be missed- so pay attention! Toni gave us helpful directions as well. If you have a low ride car or truck, be careful as the pavement is a bit rocky! The Lavender House itself was beautiful. We had everything we needed for our trip. The kitchen was filled with amenities and the bathroom was stocked with extra toiletries! The TV has cable and regular channels, no streaming networks like Netflix. We got to walk around the property to see the various animals on the farm. There’s a map provided of the property showing all the trails you can take. Additionally, the Lavender House is close to Santa Cruz Beaches and redwoods! Toni was a helpful and communicative host! She ensured our needs were met and we are very thankful. We look forward to staying here again!

This is a charming cottage in a beautiful location. You can go back and forth to Santa Cruz (30-35 minutes) but we also enjoyed Boulder Creek and Ben Lomond. Tao’s Edo Sushi right in Boulder Creek was a great discovery. Cottage is just as pictured and everything was clean and comfortable.

Very unique and beautiful cabin, very spacious and comfortable. Gorgeous surrounding area, we found it peaceful and relaxing. We loved our time here, the kitchen access was great and the shower pressure was very nice too. Would definitely recommend.

The cabin was exactly as described;tucked away in the woods with peace and serenity. we felt welcomed and right at home. Delightful touch with the candles and also clean and accessible with no complications. We would definitely recommend this airbnb!

The home was amazing, and the surrounding areas of trees and wildlife was amazing as well. We listened to the birds in the forest and the last morning got to see five dears drinking at the stream. It was breathtaking.

Really enjoyed our stay!

The Cabin was incredible! Breathtaking views and fully stocked game room for kids and those young at heart. The bedrooms had good quality beds and linen. The bathroom was clean and modern with a large quantity of towels. The kitchen had everything we needed and we were able to cook delicious meals. Ernesto was proactive in communicating and alerted us when we accidentally turned off the timed lights outside. Our family of 12 had memorable moments in The Cabin during our stay in the Fall, and we recommend it to anyone wanting to have the ‘cabin in the woods’ experience.
