Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property was exactly like the description in every way and it often exceeded expectations. Spotlessly clean and amazing views out to sea. I would book again.

We (2 couples sharing) recently stayed in Duarte’s lovely home. Duarte met us on the road where we parked our rental car and helped carry our luggage to the house, which was greatly appreciated, as it’s a bit of a trek along an uneven paved walkway with some stairs, down to the house. However it’s well worth the effort, as the unobstructed view of the ocean from the patio and every room in the house is absolutely stunning! The house is well equipped to prepare meals, lounge on the patio, and sleeps were sound and very comfortable in this peaceful setting. Duarte offered to help return our luggage up the walkway to the car but we planned ahead and took the largest bags a day ahead of checkout. Duarte is friendly and helpful and generous with his fresh eggs and locally grown bananas. Highly recommend this beautiful home!

Wir waren mit unserem Aufenthalt rundum zufrieden. Die Unterkunft befindet sich in äusserst ruhiger Lage und bietet ideale Voraussetzungen für erholsame Tage. Die Wohnung selbst ist sehr gut ausgestattet und überzeugt durch eine charmante Aussenküche sowie mehrere gemütliche Sitzgelegenheiten – hier fehlt es wirklich an nichts. Auch der Pool war ein absolutes Highlight. Jorge ist ein herausragender Gastgeber. Besonders hervorzuheben sind: - eine detaillierte und leicht verständliche Anreisebeschreibung - seine jederzeitige Erreichbarkeit - schnelle und zuverlässige Kommunikation - ausgezeichnete Restaurantempfehlungen - wunderbare Wandervorschläge Wir können diese Unterkunft uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen und danken Jorge herzlich für seine Gastfreundschaft.

Wir waren vollumfänglich zufrieden mit unserem Aufenthalt. Die Unterkunft war exklusiv, sehr schön eingerichtet und genau wie beschrieben. Besonders hervorzuheben ist Sonia, sie war jederzeit hilfsbereit, freundlich und stets erreichbar. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt. Ein kleiner Minuspunkt waren die vielen Mücken in den Nächten, was den Aufenthalt etwas getrübt hat. Vielleicht könnten Mückennetze oder andere Schutzmaßnahmen helfen. Trotzdem würden wir die Unterkunft absolut weiterempfehlen und kommen gerne wieder.

We had a fantastic time on the island. In addition to the nature that makes Madeira so fascinating, we were also able to spend some very relaxing days in our accommodation. Everything was just like in the pictures, so we could start our vacation with a great feeling. The accommodation was modern, clean and very luxurious with a pool and the number of rooms, each with its own bathroom. And who wouldn't want to wake up with a view of the sea? Wonderful. Henrique was also easy to contact if we had any questions and check-in with the key box was very simple. There is a small supermarket in this small town if you need anything. Otherwise, Calheta is not far away with larger shopping facilities. There are a few restaurants within walking distance of the accommodation, although the accommodation with its large kitchen and outdoor grill is of course also perfect for a meal. Thank you for a wonderful time in Madeira, we'd love to come back!

Logement de qualité avec sa terrasse vue mer, fort agréable. 3 chambres spacieuses et la salle de douche est fonctionnelle. À savoir; Il n’y a pas de lave vaisselle et absence de liquide vaisselle.

Really enjoyable stay in a stunning location. House and outside was perfectly clean and comfortable. The host was very friendly and accommodating - even helped fix our car when it broke down! Would definitely recommend staying here

Unser Aufenthalt war wirklich schön. Die Unterkunft entsprach genau der Beschreibung und den Fotos. Julien war ein sehr netter kommunikativer Gastgeber, der gute Tipps für die Insel gegeben hat. Das Appartement ist großzügig, sauber und ist gut ausgestattet. Die Straße zur Unterkunft ist ziemlich steil. Man sollte daher ein entsprechendes Auto mieten. In der Nähe zur Unterkunft gibt es eine Baustelle, die gelegentlich zu hören ist. Dies hat unserem Aufenthalt aber nicht wesentlich gestört, da wir tagsüber unterwegs waren. Wir können die Unterkunft nur weiter empfehlen.

Our first visit to Madeira and we had a great time. The villa is immaculate, plenty space, very clean and comfortable and equipped with everything you could need. It’s in a great location to explore Funchal and the wider island. There’s quite a hill to climb on the way back up from the town but it was manageable for a group of 65-75 year olds. And if you decide not to walk Bolt taxis are easily available and not expensive. Nuno and Rubina are excellent hosts. Nuno had sent us lots of information before our trip. Very helpful as we were only there for a week so could make some plans in advance. He came to meet us when we arrived to show us where everything was. Any questions were answered quickly with helpful replies. All of the things Nuno suggested that we tried were very good. I would add an evening at Sabor a Fado to his list of places to try. We had a great night there, but it’s a small place so definitely book. I would highly recommend a stay at Nuno and Rubina’s. Excellent!

We absolutely loved our stay in Madeira! The property was incredibly clean—honestly one of the cleanest places we've ever stayed. Everything was spotless and so well maintained. The welcome gifts were such a thoughtful touch—local produce that gave us a warm introduction to the island. The house had everything we needed, from great coffee to handy extras like Tupperware, which made day trips really convenient. The sunsets from the property were absolutely stunning—something we looked forward to every evening. The location was great for accessing shops and restaurants nearby, but we’d definitely recommend having a car to explore more of the island comfortably. All in all, a fantastic stay. We’d return in a heartbeat!

Karine and her family have been super sweet and helpful. We were a family of 6 spanning several generations, and the house is perfect for this. Highly recommended. Everything was new and worked flawlessly. Best recommendations from Kenneth.

A casa está equipada com tudo o que é necessário para uma estadia confortável e sem preocupações. Foi uma excelente experiência — recomendo vivamente!

Sehr empfehlenswert, da traumhafte Aussicht aufs Meer und Funchal. Sehr ruhig gelegen. Äusserst grosszügige Unterkunft mit viel Platz und Stauraum. Eigene Auffahrt mit gedecktem Parkplatz. Für uns zu zweit kostenmässog am oberen Limit, wir bereuen aber keine Sekunde, die letzten Tage/Nächte unserer Madeira Reise dort verbracht zu haben. João hat auf unsere Anreisezeit sehr flexibel reagiert, Danke dafür!

Beautiful house overlooking Funchal & ocean. House was well equipped with everything you may need during your stay (pool towels, baby high chair, gym equipment, fresh linens & very well stocked kitchen appliances). Short drive to shops & restaurants. The house is on a steep hill, you will likely need a car to get around town. Host was responsive and communicative. Would stay again.

Sehr schönes Haus mit toller Aussicht von der seitlichen Terrasse. Sehr komplett und bis ins Detail stilvoll eingerichtet. Es war sogar etwas Werkzeug für eine kleinere Reparatur am Mietmotorrad vorhanden! Die Lage hat uns sehr gefallen mit kleinen Örtchen und Restaurants in der Nähe. Sehr guter Empfang und Check Out! Gerne wieder!

We loved the house, every room has a badroom. Great kitchen. We injoid the swimming pool and sauna. The communication with the LovelyStay was fast and easy.

Nos hôtes, Jeanne et Cristiano, nous ont réservé un accueil chaleureux, avec des produits locaux à notre arrivée ! La maison est très bien située sur les hauteurs de Funchal, avec une vue incroyable sur l'océan (y compris depuis la douche italienne !). La piscine était très agréable (étant frileux, nous avons choisi de la chauffer), la cuisine parfaitement équipée, les chambres très spacieuses et confortables .... Nous avons aussi aimé la déco, les livres (notamment la collection de guides sur Madère en français !)... Tout était parfait, nous avons adoré notre séjour !

Wir hatten eine sehr schönen Aufenthalt. Unsere Gastgeber waren sehr aufmerksam und haben uns mit tollen Kleinigkeiten überrascht. Unser kleines Parkproblem in der Garage wurde sofort gelöst. Tolle Dachterrasse mit Poolblick aufs Meer. Super Sauber und gute Betten!

Juan is a responsive and friendly host, and the property is exactly as described. The location is near perfect for travelling around the island (if you're hiring a car), as it's pretty central, and the views from the garden are quite nice too. Inside the property, it's very clean, tidy and has everything you need for a comfortable and pleasant stay. The garden is spacious with many seating options, making breakfast and dinner time (when eating at the Airbnb) much more pleasurable. I would recommend to others, and may return in the future.

We had the most amazing stay, I'll be honest when we booked this we felt it was a bit to good to be true and was expecting it to not look as good as the photos...but wow the photos don't do it justice. The views were breathtaking, our villa was completely private and so peaceful. We loved watching the sunset every night and waking up to the view of the ocean from our bed in the morning. There's lots of really pretty wildlife to see too. I would definitely recommend renting a car to get around because it is out in the mountains. Sofia was a really good host, she was at the property when we arrived, really lovely and helpful. She sent lots of recommendation to us for places to explore and places to eat. We'd spent 3 days in Funchal before travelling out to the mountains. This Airbnb made our trip to Madeira so so special.

Hands down one of the best Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed at. The property was spotless and the view is unreal. Incredibly peaceful and great for a recharge. A rental car is properly your best bet for getting around the area, although you can get lucky and find Ubers occasionally. There is a parking spot available with a gate to enclose the property. That said, the area is incredibly safe and tranquil. Henrique was incredibly responsive, which I greatly appreciated. Overall, an amazing time. I highly recommend the place to anyone coming to Madeira.
