House vacation rentals in Caminha

We really enjoyed our stay at Tue’s house. It is a great size with good bedrooms and plenty of living space. Ideal for our family of 7. The house is well equipped with plenty to do - swimming pool, bikes, pool table, large garden etc. The local area is very quiet with a good beach and some nice local walks. The weather wasn’t great while we were there, which was unfortunate and meant we couldn’t make full use of the pool etc. but it was great on the sunny days. It could perhaps be improved with some soft covers for the sun beds and maybe another sun umbrella. All in all though we had a great stay.

It was a fantastic stay. The house was clean, well equipped and nice and quiet. The pool was great and the communication with both Daniela and her very friendly family was very pleasant. We were there as a family and would definitely recommend it.

Really beautiful home with stunning views, absolutely loved our stay here thanks for having us. Fully equipped kitchen and the space is absolutely gorgeous throughout. Brilliant outdoor area for dining and sunbathing. Garden and pool in full sunshine whenever you want to use them but a nice shaded area for dining. Only slight disappointment was the home did not have air con as advertised (it was underfloor heating) so we were quite hot at night and struggled to sleep. The heating system was adjusted and our host provided fans for each bedroom to try and help cool the house. Overall fantastic property.

We had a great time in Afife and enjoyed our stay at Joaos place. The location was very quiet (except the Honda shop across the street in the daytime) and Afife has not much to offer, which was okay for us but should be known in advance if you plan on eating outside. Porto is great to be reached by train and the beach is very close. With 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms there’s enough space for a big group and everything was very comfortable. The pool was open already and was cleaned during our stay. The only thing which I would point out on the negative side is that when we arrived it smelled a bit mouldy, probably due to the rainy weather and the fact that 3 of the bathrooms don’t have windows. The staircase to the lower part of the house is very steep. That’s a fact you should know when travelling with small kids. Joao was perfect to contact and always responded quickly whenever there were any questions. Thanks for having us. We would totally recommend to stay at his place.

We had a great stay, we will definitely go back. The house is extremely comfortable, beautiful and versatile, it gives both a warm and cold height. The location is perfect, both for those who want to know Gerês, and for those who just want to rest and enjoy the amenities of the house. The hosts are super friendly and flexible, I highly recommend!

The view from this home is priceless. It is spacious and very comfortable. The power went out multiple times but always came right back on. The host was quick to respond to all of our questions and requests.

We love our stay! The house was impeccably clean and comfortable to welcome us. Cristina and her husband were very nice and attentive! The outdoor space is excellent for enjoying family moments, as well as the view from the kitchen/living room, every day we dine with a view of the sunset. The house is very close to supermarkets, restaurants and even the beach and walkways. We really like it!

Antonio's airbnb has everything that's needed and it was clean. Antonio was very eager to help us a lot with recommandations for places to eat, surf and visit the area.

We were allowed to spend 2 weeks at Casa da Luz and had a very nice and relaxing time. The garden of the property is amazing! During our stay, the adjacent house Casa de Santiago was not occupied. Arrival and departure (handover via key safe) were hassle-free and communication with the landlord was very friendly and efficient. We felt very comfortable and can recommend Casa da Luz to anyone who wants to spend a quiet and undisturbed vacation.

After spending the last four weeks here I am so sad to be leaving Portugal. The house and the area are just beautiful, and I could not recommend this place enough. A car is a must, but it’s a very pleasant and straightforward drive from Porto airport. The village has a river beach, but if you prefer the sea, Caminha is a 50 minute drive and it’s definitely worth the visit - the beaches are beautiful. Forte da Ínsua restaurant is a must! I would also recommend a day trip to Tui, we took a boat ride and looked at the history and it was just wonderful. I’d also recommend the boardwalk hike along the river from Sistelo. The views are just incredible! The house is in a very rural area, so this place is perfect for anyone looking for a quiet retreat. A huge thank you to the hosts for being so helpful and accommodating!

The little house is a wonderful vacation spot. It is very lovingly and at the same time practically furnished. So you have everything you need. The location right by the sea is great. It is also good that there is a fireplace, it can be uncomfortably cold in the evening. I found the winter garden very practical, it heats up during the day and you can use the heat for the house. It also serves as the connection between the house and the bathroom - very well solved. We also used the barbecue a lot, especially since there is fresh fish in the fish shop around the corner. We felt very comfortable and would be happy to come back.

We had the most wonderful month-long stay at this beautiful home in Portugal. The house itself is stunning—spacious, stylish, and incredibly comfortable. It had everything we needed, especially in the kitchen, which was fully equipped for cooking at home. It really felt like a home away from home. The location is perfect if you’re looking to unwind and enjoy a peaceful break away from the city. It’s calm and quiet, yet only 20–30 minutes by car to some absolutely charming towns nearby—great for day trips and exploring the area. The hosts were absolutely lovely—welcoming, responsive, and genuinely kind. When we unexpectedly had some car trouble, they went out of their way to help us get things sorted quickly, which we really appreciated. All in all, this was a truly fantastic experience and we’re already looking forward to coming back if we’re in Portugal next year. Highly, highly recommended..!

We had a great three-day stay. The place was private, with a spacious bedroom, balcony, and two bathrooms. It was perfect for our dog — we could walk him off-leash in the village. We all enjoyed drinking the cool, fresh water from the mountain fountain! The lake access was a nice bonus. The host was very welcoming and gave great local recommendations. A relaxing and comfortable stay overall! :)

Good, basic accommodation

Our group loved to stay in the Fox House! This accommodation has completely exceeded our expectations. The space is quite wide and very well decorated. The owner turned out to be very available and presented us with several suggestions of activities and tours to discover the region. A beautiful surprise!

Altogether a very enjoyable stay. Really well equipped home and generously stocked kitchen. The view from the house is glorious and the location amidst eucaplytus pine wild fennel. A looked after garden with overhanging lemon and lime trees and a series of well tendered lawns is perfect. Lovely 1.5 hr walk up high behnd the house to chapel. Carminha is a beautiful town 2.4 klm away : easy to park and easy getting in and out : lots of restaurants and pasterlerias and cafes. When you just arrive it is worth going 7 klms west along coast road to big supermarket :Continiente (signs on road) to stock up. Local lovely beach on the edge of town located eucaplyptus forest :easy parking- lifeguarded and has cafe. Beaches futher along the coast road . Inland from the house in a nearby village of Murios is small lake open to all for swimming and picnicing.. Great to come back to the house each day and everything to hand. Vitor exceptional host: kind,responisive and organised.

Perfect place to spend a few days with your family, impeccable house, cleanliness and order, very complete facilities. Carina has been a perfect host, always available and with great local suggestions. We will definitely enjoy this house again as we have left enchanted.

Restored house in a quiet setting with beautiful views. Everything very well taken care of. You can walk down to Caminha and take the opportunity to exercise. If you don't feel like making the beach, you can sunbathe in the great garden. If you go with children very appropriate to play without disturbing neighbors. Totally recommended.

It was probably one of the best places we stayed in. House is really something else and it comes with private garden and pool. Only regret was that we didn’t stay longer!! Highly recommended!!

Rosa Maria is such a sweet hostess with nothing but the best intentions. We stayed for 2 weeks venturing through the Caminha, looking for a new place to call home. She was so inviting and concerned for our comfort. She lives in the main house and is always available if needed. Her garden is amazing! A big plus was that she accepts dogs, we brought both of ours. Highly recommended, especially for the hospitality. Obrigado Rosa Maria!

We stayed 2 weeks as a family with our children and grandchildren in this very beautiful quiet property. A real little slice of heaven offering peace and comfort. The pool and views are breathtaking, spectacular. Photos match exactly. Our host was very friendly and Victor's attention to detail was perfect in how to prepare the house (beautiful linens) making sure we will lack nothing Thank you for everything! And especially the delicate attention to Bruno our son. The house is very well managed, clean, linen change during the stay much appreciated. Only one small downside the kitchen really very very small for accommodation for 6 people otherwise equipped with the essentials We left the house regretfully looking forward to coming back I recommend it!
