Cottage vacation rentals in Caerphilly County Borough

So much information given about the surrounding area and what it had to offer. Was very helpful and quick with replies, even let us check in an hour earlier. Left us a little present of Prosecco! Started our girls holiday off right and also left with some milk and home made Welsh cakes! Which was need after our long drive down. Place was really tidy and clean, was hard to keep it that way. Location is amazing and the people around town were super friendly and helpful. We are already thinking of visiting again as we didn’t have enough time to do everything we wanted Thank you so much for a lovely long weekend.

We had a lovely few days staying here, the weather wasn’t on our side however it didn’t spoil things. The accommodation was lovely, had everything we needed. Hot tub and sauna were simply perfect. The hosts were fabulous and we would definitely recommend this accommodation. The children loved the open space, the football goal and the chickens and geese. Thank you for allowing us to have a few days away in such a lovely place 🩷

Amazing stay here with my husband. The cottage was perfect for a relaxing and quiet weekend. The breakfast basket was a lovely touch and everything was as described in the listing. Joy is a brilliant host checking in to make sure everything was going smoothly! Would definitely stay again!!

We’ve just returned from the most delightful short break in a beautiful college cottage tucked away in the heart of Wales. The cottage itself was a perfect blend of old-world charm and modern comfort — tastefully furnished, spotlessly clean, and full of character. Surrounded by rolling hills and the peaceful sounds of nature, it felt like a true escape from the everyday. This little haven gave us the peace and quiet we craved, along with the warmth and welcome of a truly special place. We left feeling rested, inspired, and already dreaming of our return xx

Claire's place was perfect for our needs as a base for a walk in the Brecons. It had a well equipped kitchen, and even Sky TV. Claire was a great host, responsive, easy to contact, had some local recommendations and even gave us a lift to the pub.

Amazing stay at the Yarlington Dairy. The cottage was stunning and had everything you needed. The views were magnificent and the cider was also lush! Laura was a wonderful host, super friendly and very responsive. Thank you for a great stay celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary! 🤩 x

We stayed for 2 nights and will defo be back. Great location and accommodation. Hot tub was beautiful. Outside and inside space so nice. Alison is on site which was great to be fair. Very welcoming and helpful yet respectful of having privacy. Thank you so much for making me Marc and Trent welcome. Able to walk in your garden and giving us nice loop walk to canal and along cycle path, We really really loved our stay and we will recommend and be back. 😃 oh and the bed was super comfy. Slept like a log. X

My friend and I had a great weekend staying at Granary Cottage 1. It was bigger than we expected, very comfortable, the surroundings are beautiful, great to have the old tea barn on site! We did lots of walking straight from the cottage, it is in a fab location. Antony was really helpful with any queries we had, we definitely recommend staying here.

Julia's airbnb is compact for a 2 bed let but beautifully organised and very clean with all the facilities you will need. Llanattock is a lovely village and the local pub was very welcoming. A lovely place to visit. Thank you

We’ve stayed in lots of Airbnb places over the years and Oak Farm is up there with the best. We had a fantastic week with Alicia & Chris being excellent and friendly hosts. They went out of their way to make our stay extremely comfortable and they were very generous with their time and the extras they provided. The location is superb with outstanding views across the hills, we spent many happy hours sitting in the Sun loungers reading. It’s also a great location for exploring the wonderful hills around Abergavenny . Our dog loved it too with a secure area of woodland for him to play and explore we would love to return one day and will be recommending this place to our friends and family . Graig Ddu is a very special place. The house has a timeless quality to it, so much more than a typical holiday rental. The location is so beautiful, it is surrounded by the garden and trees up a lovely forest track (but still safely driveable) We enjoyed the walk along the valley to Llanthony Priory but also just spent time in the garden. We were there during the unusually hot weather and the house was a cool, calm escape. Really enjoyed the books and Positive News magazines, a much needed antidote to current affairs! Kathy’s cottage in Crickhowell is fantastic – beautifully decorated, spotless, and extremely well equipped. Everything was clean and tidy, and we felt relaxed as soon as we walked through the door. The location is perfect: peaceful and quiet, yet within easy walking distance of all the lovely shops, restaurants and pubs in Crickhowell – easily nicest town in South Wales! Kathy was a brilliant host, with clear, timely communication and a warm, welcoming approach. Couldn’t recommend it more highly.

We had a wonderful stay! The location is very peaceful and perfect for relaxing. The host was extremely kind and attentive, making us feel very welcome. The terrace and garden were beautiful – ideal for enjoying the sun and the lovely view of nature. The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped with everything we needed. Highly recommended – we would definitely love to come back!

We had a brief but awesome stay. We loved the fireplace and fresh eggs and wish we could have stayed longer to explore the natural beauty of the surrounding area.

A lovely place to stay — perfect for me and my two dogs, with a safe enclosed garden where they could roam freely. The cottage was well-equipped throughout, especially the kitchen which had everything I needed. It’s a great base for exploring, with easy access to outdoor activities and local amenities like the town centre and shops. The host was really friendly, checked in to see if I needed anything, and even suggested some great dog walks nearby. The only slight challenge was parking outside, which was a bit tight with a larger car — but manageable overall.

Our stay at Mary cottage was fantastic. The place is a mix of history and sympathetic renovation, showcasing old stonework. The cottage itself is cosy and modern, we felt very at home. Everything was impeccably clean. The kitchen is stocked with everything for basic cooking. Bring your own oil and spices if you’d like to cook from scratch. We brought frozen meals and cooked a fry up most mornings. The bed was incredibly comfortable and clean, with lots of space for clothes/storage in the bedroom. There is ample parking right outside the door and with a quick chat to David, we were able to use the electric car charger with ease. The location was superb, a 5 min walk into the start of the Brecon Beacons. We mostly drove 15-20 mins for longer walks. A perfect location for Brecons, Cardiff etc. Getting to the place was easy: simply type roundhouse farm, nantyglo into maps or follow David’s instructions. David was a fantastic host with excellent communication and suggestions. Thank you!

Amazing getaway place , calm , relaxing, beautiful views and plenty of outdoor space. Close to shops and tourist attractions. David had recommendations for the local eateries and all necessities were covered. All clean inside and out and bed lining was very high standard.

From start to finish Danny and Helen were great hosts! They were very welcoming! The house was perfect, felt very homely! Perfect amenities and the fact we had fresh eggs from their chickens was lovely! The scenery was well and truly beautiful! Very close drive to the railway to get into Cardiff if needed. Very relaxing and we will definitely be back!
