Gioviano is a small quiet medieval village 25 kms from the walled city of Lucca in the Garfagnana. The house is peacful and in the heart of this beautiful Tuscan village, if you want to explore the region this is a perfect retreat for a weekend or longer. We are 50 minutes from Pisa airport on the SS12 route. The location is perfect for summer or winter. In summer you can reach the sea, in winter ski in the hills. All year round you can explore the region by foot, bicycle, motorcycle or car.

La casa si trova nel centro del paese, il parcheggio si trova distante circa 60 m. Presenza di strutture ricettive. La casa è un ottimo punto di appoggio per visitare anche i paesi vicini come Barga e Coreglia, tutti e due tra i borghi più belli d'Italia.

We had amazing 10 days in Alessios house. It was clean, cozy and we had everything we needed. One highlight is the beautiful garden with the jacuzzi and an amazing view. The interior of the house is very nice and there was nothing we missed. The communication with Alessio was great, helpful and always friendly. Die Begrüssung durch die Gastgeber-Familie war sehr herzlich und wir haben uns gleich wohlgefühlt. Das Haus war sehr schon im mediterranen Stil, was uns sehr gefallen hat. Es war alles genau wie auf den Bilder gezeigt und in den Beschreibungen erwähnt. Alles was wir brauchten war vorhanden. Es war alles sehr sauber und gepflegt. Der grosse Swimmingpool war unser High-Light, welchen wir auch jeden Tag genutzt haben. Gute Restaurants, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und schöne Ausflugsziele waren in der Nähe vorhanden. (5-10 Minuten mit Auto) Ein Restaurant ist sogar zu Fuss in 3 Minuten erreichbar. Bei Fragen oder Unklarheiten war Floreana immer super schnell erreichbar. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder! Viele Grüsse aus der Schweiz

Chiara’s home was perfect for our 3 day stay in Barga. We were there for a wedding in the region. It’s in a quiet neighborhood just about 10 minutes walk to the town square. Chiara and her husband were super helpful with everything we needed help with. The home is perfectly cool even on hot summer days. The fans are more than sufficient. Having parking right outside the house with a lot of luggage is a boon. We had a wonderful stay!

What a beautiful place in the centre of Barga. Between the old and new towns you get the best of both worlds. Gioia was more than helpful and gave us lots of recommendations. Highly recommend the Cantina del vino for wine tasting with Rita - within walking distance but might want to consider your return journey after the wine! Cannot wait to come back to Barga. It’s has my heart.

Casa dei Canti. Villa with pool and mountain views

What a stunning location with magnificent views of the Apennine and Apuan mountains. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and every need had been thought of with a superbly equipped kitchen even down to a choice of milk frothers for your coffee and plenty of towels!! Swimming in the pool overlooking the wonderful view was a great way to simply relax, as was sitting on an evening watching storms rage in the distance listening to the Red Deer Stags’ rutting calls! The hosts Jacqui and Nick were very helpful and were there when needed but not when you didn’t! Lots of places to explore from here, the nearby town of Castelnuovo di Garfagnana is worth a visit to go to Osteria Vecchio Mulino where local foods are served - we were fed like kings ( No menu but just supplied with plates of delicious delights!) FIorence (by train), Pisa and Luca, Forte dei Marmi (the Italian go to resort by the sea) all worth a visit! Had a superb stay here and would highly recommend!!

Das Haus ist wunderschön und ruhig gelegen oben auf dem Berg mit einer tollen Aussicht. Die Ausstattung und Einrichtung ist genau wie beschrieben, zusätzlich verfügt das Haus über eine Heizung und 2 Kamine, die wir im Oktober abends gut benutzen konnten und die es immer sehr gemütlich gemacht haben. Der Weg nach oben war etwas abenteuerlich (Serpentinen) und es empfiehlt sich ein nicht zu großes Auto zu benutzen, die Wegbeschreibung durch die Gastgeber war aber sehr ausführlich und so haben wir alles gleich gefunden. Es war alles zu unserer Zufriedenheit, vielen Dank für die immer sehr freundliche und schnelle Kommunikation
