White River Haven, mountain paradise on the river

The amazing White River, full of trophy trout, runs through our yard. We also have national forests, state parks, hiking trails, OHV, snowmobile & horse rentals, boating & fishing lakes- all nearby. There are over 250 miles of OHV trails, the world's largest migrating elk herd, summer rodeo series, International sheepherding trials, and more. There's plenty to do! It's a year-round recreation destination. It is also wonderful to just sit on the deck listening to the river and watch it flow past.

Fabulous Log cabin in the mountains!

Our cozy log cabin has everything you need to enjoy your stay in the mountains. We are close to all that is Colorado; gold medal Trout streams, whitewater rafting, biking paths to Aspen and Vail, hiking to mountain lakes and waterfalls, soaking in the outdoor hot springs pools, hot air ballooning, hang gliding, skiing-both local at Sunlight Mountain, or Snowmass/Aspen/Vail/Breckenridge, golfing, breweries, dispensaries, and live music at outdoor restaurants under the bridge! The Cedar House is centrally located in the heart of the valley, for an easy commute to all the attractions this area has to offer but will give you the sense you are miles away from it all. This is a simple cabin-home is located 7 miles up from the Colorado river on Sweetwater Creek. Three more miles up the road is Sweetwater Lake and the jump off area for the White River National Forest and the Flat Tops Wilderness area. Glenwood Springs is 32 miles down creek/river. Great access to hiking, floating, biking (Glenwood Canyon) and hunting, or best yet relaxing next to a beautiful creek. Brink's Outfitters at Sweetwater Lake has horses and guides for riding.
