Absolutely loved our stay here! If you're someone who enjoys being close to nature and traveling with your dog, this place is perfect. The surroundings are peaceful and green. Fabiola was super friendly and made everything easy from check-in to check-out. The house rules were clear and straightforward, which made the whole experience stress-free. We felt really welcomed and comfortable the entire time. All in all, a great stay—we’d definitely come back!

Great stay for our family of 5 adults and 3 toddlers! Lots to do and great proximity to Acadia/Bar Harbor. House was well supplied with clear instructions. Brady also connected with us before the stay and kept in touch for anything that came up as a concern. Thank you!

Although rainy, had the perfect weekend renting Allen’s RV- great location with lots to explore in the area! Allen was always quick to respond to our questions. We ended up arriving after midnight our 1st night, he left the outside string lights on for us which was very much appreciated! RV was nice and clean, roomier than I thought it would be- would definitely rent again!

You cannot beat this location!! With the beach directly across the street, two great restaurants within a few steps, and only 10 minutes drive into Camden, this is the perfect vacation destination! We could not have asked for a better place to relax and have some fun adventures in Camden Hills and Islesboro. The house was very clean and comfortable with all the amenities we could have wanted. We ended up eating out for almost every meal (so many great restaurants in the area!), but the kitchen was very well stocked to make meals in. Brendon and Krista were very quick and proactive with communication and sending check-in instructions. Thanks for such a great stay!!

Great beach access, theres a little island you can go to with the tide

We loved our stay! Everything was as described and we had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook several meals. The view is absolutely beautiful from all parts of the house and we loved the outdoor amenities. Lucy was very responsive and gave us some great recommendations! Would love to come back!

What a wonderful cabin. Exactly as described. The sun rises over the Penobscot River were truly incredible. We made sure to brew our coffee, bundle up, and head out to the sun rise. You can also stay indoors as well and still see the sun rise. The fire pit table was also a nice touch. Plenty of Adirondack chairs for viewing the river including birds and a few seals. The grill was brand new and worked great. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Amazingly the WiFi worked great and we also were able to access our streaming channels as well. Given the remote location, it was a pleasant surprise to see it work so well. There was plenty of hot water for showers and washing dishes. The propane heater and gas fire place did a great job of quickly warming up the cabin when needed. There were also new window A/C units, but we didn’t need to use them. There were also plenty of towels/blankets. No hair dryer, but we air dried. Paul was very responsive.

This was our favorite spot we’ve been to in a long time. Beautiful property, comfortable accommodations that still feel rustic while having everything you need. Awesome spot!

A few times while wandering around midcoast Maine in late March, we were asked if this is when we usually came to vacation here. Yes, we are educators from the Southwest, and this was our spring break, so this is when we came to visit, but honestly, it is so peaceful this time of year. Especially Boothbay Harbor, and what we imagined while walking around the very quiet town would be a very different place in July! Our experience at Abby’s space was absolutely wonderful and serene in the spring. The thoughtful touches (thank you for the bottle of Maine wine and jar of blueberry jelly!) made it even more special. Thank you, we hope to be back one day.

This charming cottage in a picture-perfect setting will take you back in time to Maine of the 1920’s. You can relax near the water on the dock, sit up on the deck and watch for bald eagles, tuck yourself away in the cozy, sheltered dining area on the porch, or relax by the fire in the living room. We can’t wait to go back!

My return visit to the Boathouse was even lovelier than I hoped it would be. The location can't be matched by anything else I've seen. I enjoyed a September visit with my dog and was lucky to have pristine weather. I lived a very simple and healthy outdoors life and came home the better for it. The Boathouse is true to its description: it is simple and rustic and uncomplicated but well-equipped, and is perfect for one-and-dog, or for two people. A little coming-and-going from the neighboring houses meant that I didn't feel isolated. Margaret is truly an exceptional and friendly host who communicates promptly and clearly. I almost hesitate to share "my" Boathouse location with too many of my back-home friends because it feels so intimate and special. I already want to be back there. I offer my deep thanks to Margaret and to the place that I could - briefly - call home.

My husband and I, and our two pups had a fantastic time in the Carriage House for a week. Part of a breathtaking private/secret compound on the water…with the most incredible private tidal pool. The place is so authentic, which is what we love about staying in ME when we can escape. We were so blessed to find Margaret’s place last minute. Margaret’s mother, Sally, and her husband were in the main Kate’s house. So so sweet they were to us and our girls. A dog paradise. We are foodies. Plenty of good restaurants around - just a few minutes to the adorable village of Stonington. Around the corner is one of the best restaurants in the country - Aragosta. We can’t wait to return…hopefully, in the Fall. A trip we will always remember. Thank you, Margaret & Family.

This stay was absolutely beautiful!!! It looked EXACTLY like the photos, maybe even better! It’s right on the water with a gorgeous view. If you like swimming in your own front yard and sitting up in bed to stunning landscape, this is the stay for you. We spent our time relaxing in one of the most comfortable beds Ive had at any hotel/airbnb, swimming in the water right off the dock, and watching wildlife right from the porch. The area is a large property with multiple stays, and while we passed our neighbors a few times we still had tons of privacy. This would be the perfect location for large groups wanting to rent the entire property/multiple stays on the property. We will hopefully be back in the future with the whole family!

This cottage was just what we were looking for as a weekend getaway! It was the perfect size ( there were four of us) with two bedrooms, a full bath, combo living room/dining area, kitchen, and the best part was a screened-in porch where we sipped our morning coffee and tea. The cottage was fully equipped with bedding, towels, soaps, wi-fi, dishes, plenty of pots and pans, and outdoor chairs. There were even toothbrushes in case you forgot yours! The cottage is not right on the beach, but a short path by the cabin takes you to a lovely little beach on Penobscot Bay where you can walk for miles, bring a towel or chair to sit and read, or take a dip in the ocean. And finally our contact, Daniel, was the best. He checked in on us and made sure we had everything and let us know to contact him anytime. We loved it so much we plan to go again in the fall!

Beautiful home! Bed was great! Other things we loved were: having a well stocked kitchen (and coffee), and a washer/dryer. We did struggle to sleep the 1st night with the road noise, but we got ear plugs for the 2nd night and had no issue. Also, the sun does come in early, it would be nice to have an option of blackout curtains. Overall, a beautiful place and we would definitely stay again!

Five stars, all the way! Absolutely incredible house nestled on a private drive with the most gorgeous neighborhood beach. We really appreciated all the amenities and loving small touches that the owners put into their dream home. Would stay here a million times over again. This was my second time staying at Reach Winds, and I’ve been dreaming of a return since my first stay. It’s such a special place. Waking up to the view and the sun streaming in, sitting on the deck watching the tide roll in and out - it’s just magical. Basha is warm, an expert in the area and eager to share suggestions. (We took most of them and enjoyed the hikes, swims, shopping, food and wine throughout the trip.) Her eye is impeccable with the most perfectly curated Maine coastal cabin. That said, it’s an airbnb for a specific experience. If you want modern amenities, it’s not for you! It’s for someone who wants to be in nature, in a peaceful and private setting, and who doesn’t mind hand washing dishes in the cutest kitchen with a collection of vintage dishware and birds singing outside. (No fox sightings this year, but last time, I watched baby foxed frolick!) It’s a time capsule. If you want that, you’ll find no better lodging in Maine, and no better host than Basha.

A wonderfully charming spot to stay while exploring Acadia national Park and the surrounding areas. Rita was a delight, with fantastic instructions on how to find the place, recommendations for current happenings around town, and she was very responsive for any and all questions I may have had. The pictures don’t do this property justice, I highly recommend!

Simply magical! Cozy and fun space. We enjoyed watching eagles and ospreys fish, seals pop their heads up, and even an adorable family of foxes from the comfort of the living room! Kitchen had all necessities for cooking most meals at home. A nice trail for walking down the road and an awesome beach where the kids threw stones and searched for seaglass each afternoon. We were all sad to leave!

We had a very nice stay at Mill House! Patrick and Martha were quick to respond to my messages. We had a very rainy weekend and they gave great recommendations to help our stay in Belfast be memorable! The house was clean and comfortable and we loved birdwatching every morning with our coffee on the back deck. Simply beautiful! Thank you for a great stay!

A beautiful home on the bay. The home was very clean and had many extras such as campfire blankets, smore ingredients, coffee etc. Finding and getting into the home was super easy. Check-out was easy with fewer end-of-stay chores than most places. Very quiet and peaceful. About 20 minutes from the smaller portion of Acadia known as Schoodic Peninsula. It was about 1 hour 15 minutes to the main Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor.
