The Bothy, Churnsike Lodge

ElliotRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Absolutely stunning cottage in extremely remote location. We had such a great week staying at The Bothy. Stephen and Dawn are very welcoming and relaxed hosts who are offering a truly unique stay in the forest. The cottage is extremely remote, but there is plenty to do in the area, including - cycling, walking and some great restaurants. We would love to come back.

Hilltop Lodge (wildlife abundant), Colby, Appleby.

AnekaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The Lodge was exactly as described with everything I needed. It was located in a lovely and peaceful part of the country, which was within their grounds. The lodge was closer to their home than I thought but this wasn't an issue for me at all. The enclosed garden space was a bonus and my dog loved it! The cake was a lovely touch too. The local town wasn't too far away and pubs were dog friendly which was great. A lovely relaxing break.

Solway Holiday Villa

ElizabethRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Mark the host gave us super easy and clear instructions to get to, and get in the caravan which made things super easy. The caravan is absolutely stunning, so clean inside with absolutely everything you need, from plates, cleaning products, even a slow cooker and dishwasher. Everything was left for our one year old including a cot and blankets, and they even had bubbles, loads of games and books for all ages. The WiFi worked really well and honestly we couldn’t fault it. The site was lovely, although there wasn’t loads to do for the kids, they made use of the golf, football pitches and pool. The entertainment was decent and we even won £500 at bingo! Thanks for a lovely stay!

Cosy seaside retreat Cumbria Glendale portCarlisle

SarahRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Such great value for money! This is EXACTLY what we needed. We were looking at booking a house, but stumbled across this accommodation. It was a great location for what we needed on the way up to Scotland. The caravan was so homely and clean - it had everything we needed. The site had much to offer with the parks, bar and restaurant etc - we didn’t get chance to utilise them all as our stay was only 2 nights. We will definitely stay again and recommend to family members who also visit Scotland from the U.K. Thank you!

The Cosy Hedgerow

RogerRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a great time at the place with my two little dogs, and surprisingly, the kitchen was well-equipped. The host was responsive and reacted to our queries very quickly, especially when I encountered the problem in finding the keys. The only disappointment was that we successfully made a reservation for the swimming pool, but it was closed all of a sudden, which disrupted my plan. Other than that, it's a good place to visit.

We had a brilliant week here, using the cottage as our base to walk the local Pennine Way sections. Whilst cottages, com seem to handle the booking and automatic messages. The owners are on site and take care of welcoming us and managing everything during our stay. This is a lovely quiet location with countryside views and everything we needed for our stay. The owners left us a welcome pack, were flexible with our arrival but also left us to enjoy our privacy. The listing is better than the photos. It’s clean and spacious with a large TV in the bedroom and a jacuzzi in the garden which was perfect after our day’s walk. Comfy bed and good shower (over the bath). Had everything we needed in the kitchen. Thank you for a great stay.

Woodpecker Cottage (Dog Friendly)

LianeRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Peter and Hilary were very friendly and approachable with good local knowledge. Woodpecker cottage was beautiful it was spotless and had everything we could possibly have wanted, the welcome pack was perfect and much appreciated as we had traveled so far. The village was lovely and quiet, well situated to visit the Lake District and the Pennines. The village pub was a two minute walk and served good food, the local shop was a five minute drive away and was well stocked. On Hilary’s recommendation we tried the bakery in a nearby village it was fantastic. Thank you Peter and Hilary for a fabulous stay in a wonderful cottage.

We had a great stay at Hilltop, it's a lovely cottage. I was able to have breakfast outside every day of my stay which was a real luxury for me. We did some great hikes too venturing to the Borrowdale valley with its stunning views and even went down to the beach one day. Good communication with Natasha as well, would definitely reccomend.

Country cottage with private garden & hot tub

SuzeRating, 5 stars1 day ago
Perfect getaway from us and handy for visiting family. The hot tub was a welcome daily ritual and the garden is very peaceful. Everything needed was provided in the house, would just add that the garden furniture is Ok for eating, but not comfortable for long sitting and reading, luckily we had our folding chairs in the car so not a problem, but worth bearing in mind.

Lakeland cottage in Dockray by Ullswater & Keswick

JessicaRating, 5 stars3 days ago
We had a fantastic stay at Knott's View; the cottage was lovely, the garden a sun trap, and the surroundings were beautiful. We enjoyed lots of walks straight from the door - so many loops, including Gowbarrow Fell with amazing views of Ullswater and then back through Aira Force waterfalls late one sunny evening. The pub opposite is good for a pint and pub food, and we visited Keswick (great tapas restaurant) and Pooley Bridge too, as well as Grenridding - all 10 to 20 min drive. Chris and Ruth were really helpful throughout.
