Authentic sailing ship Vrouwezand: Peace and quiet!

The Vrouwezand is a historic sailing ship and sails in the summer over the mudflats and IJsselmeer. In winter, it is located in the city center of Groningen in a unique location, and can be rented as accommodation for music and/or culture lovers. The cozy living room has an open kitchen with an extensive inventory, including a catering oven and 2 refrigerators (together 250 liters). Yvonne van Scheijen, biologist and skipper/owner, lives in the skipper's house at the back, and is happy to welcome you on board.

A beautiful boat (Stevenvlet) where you can relax, even in winter , because the super heater keeps it nice and warm. The boat is located on the Woude , located on our jetties at Restaurant 't Kombof. De Woude is an island with 160 inhabitants. You get on the ferry that takes you to the other side in a few minutes and you are immediately on holiday. You can take a beautiful walk on the island. The Woude is centrally located. Within half an hour you are in Amsterdam, Alkmaar or at the beach.

This 100 year old ship has been completely converted into accommodation and is located just 10 minutes walk from the centre. Boating with the Hydra is also possible. For €25,- per person we offer a 3.5 hour cruise. Via IJlst, Heeg, the Sneekermeer and the city center of Sneek. Prefer a night or a whole weekend away? That's also possible. There are 8 beds spread over a captain’s cabin, a room in the front and a fixed bunk bed next to the aisle. Showers are possible in the shower complex in the harbor, where 16 showers are available for you. You can also sail to Amsterdam and stay there for the night for example, or sail on the IJsselmeer or North Sea. We would like to tell you what is possible with our beautiful boat.

Welcome aboard! The Moana is for rent from July 2023. A cozy 9.5 meter boat on the Alkmaardermeer. Here you can enjoy the tranquility, the beautiful view and the setting sun, after which you will be wonderfully lulled to sleep and you can hear the water rippling in the background. PLEASE NOTE: the boat is located on an island which can only be reached with a manually operated ferry. It runs between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. After this time, you won't be able to get on or off the island.

The deck-house and wheelhouse in the back of a former sailing cargo-ship van 1888 is transformed into a small apartment . The rest of the boat is a shop with sailing / marine equipment and a bunker station. The entrance is due to the age of the ship a small steep stair, keep that in mind. The surrounding is a lively harbor with sail-ships and cruise-ships. There is a parking available for €5 - a night very closeby. So enjoy the sound and movements of the water!
